Is it possible to get mec troopers to work correctly on teleport platforms, such as the chosen boss fight ones? I was down two members when I tried to use them.

Will it be made compatible with Iridar's Spark Arsenal. One of the annoying things is losing Dual Strike when one one of the bonded pairs is turned on a Psi-Mec.

Does Focus OS System even show up after upgrading to Mec Troopers? If not it might be because of the crappy new launcher that 2K just rolled out.
The Alternate Mod Launcher should work. If not you might have to edti the class data .ini to enable them.

There will be a major rework of the psionic mec trooper mod. I've also considered updating this, but I had to take into account that this mod was left unattended for too long. Because a lot of people are already using the mod.

A separate rework mode with bug fixes and concept changes will be raised accordingly, in which case there will be no further updates to this mod.

I've got those, and I've done the research. I can make a Psi-MEC in the character pool editor, but in-game I'm never allowed to enhance one of my existing Psi troops.

You need both DLCs, the Mec Troopers Mod and if you didn't select Shen's Last Gift, to research Mechanized Warfare in the Proving Ground.

So, I downloaded this mod a little while ago, and only just noticed that I never get the option to make PsiMECs, regardless of whether I have PsiOps or Templars available at the time. I got curious and took a look at the mod's XComClassData.ini, as well as a couple other files, and it looks like the only class that's actually enabled is the [RM_PuellaMecTrooper]. Everything else is either commented out (ie [;SoldierClasses="RM_DefaultPsiMecTrooper"]) or entirely absent. Is this intentional?

Wait, I took a second look at the photos. Is your Psi Mec using Arc Wave? The issue I am having is that my regular Templar (and Templar Dragon) are unable to use Arc Wave. For me, the Psi Mec is fine.

I really do not know what is going on. The only thing I can think of is that Beta Highlander might be the issue. I was told it should not be a problem, but that is the only difference I have. I validated my files and everything. Its a mystery as to why it wont work.

This is odd? The only mods I had enabled during the test were Beta Community Highlander, all required mods for this and the other mods. It won't work on my end for some strange reason.

I will do another test once I return home. But this is an interesting situation.

@Alterd-Rushnano I did some tests and it does not seem to be any mod conflict that would cause the arc wave issue post update. So, it might be that the issue still exists maybe? I am at a loss on this.

@Alterd-Rushnano Thank you for the update, but it does not appear that the patch fixed the Arc Wave on my end at least. Could it be some sort of mod conflict or something of the sort? I did a clean config and even a fresh reinstalled this mod to no avail.

Or maybe there was another issue with arc wave rather than the one I was having (Ability Fix does address an issue with Arc Wave). For me, my templar's arc wave is not working at all. When they go for an attack, there is no arc wave. I only hit the one enemy rather than anyone else near them. It is like I don't have the ability at all, despite me actually having it.

How do the psi abilities work with these mecs? I am testing one of my soldiers with this and one of the starting abilities was Insanity but there is no icon for it during missions. Given that these soldiers can't seem to use psi amps, it makes them less effective in the field. Also, should their rends being doing less damage than a normal kinetic strike? By the way, I am using this with RPGO and, aside from these aspects, it does seem to work.

Sorry for the late reply. It's because the exclusive Arcwave skill crashed somewhere. To resolve this issue-We are preparing to update this mode.

It doesn't take much time to overlap with work, but I'll fix it as soon as possible.

Having him being a melee class makes the MEC useless if you increase the squad limit to have one class each and up the number of Advent at the same time. I had to turn my Templars into a mix of Rangers and Sharpeshooter gunslingers to make them useful.

Is there a way to make them do damage psi damage with the Spark Cannons or make those secondary weapons? Because he's pretty much worthless compared to the real deals.

I like the idea, not so much the execution.
Namely the skill tree randomization. It's very hard to justify putting a perfetcly fine PsiOp (or even Templar) on the surgeon table, if the result can be, that you get a Mec that has Soulfire and Insanity as Major and Colonnel rank skills.
Now, consider the fact what time it takes to even reach the point in tech where you can A) train PsiOps and B) produce Mecs. At this stage I'd argue PsiMecs shouldn't even have weak Psi skills to beginn with.
I mean, in my eyes the best approach would be to take half a Mec and half a PsiOp and fuse them so that you can save one position on your squad while still having some Psi skills and the tankiness of a Mec on your squad.
As I said, I like the idea and I want to thank you for your work.
Sadly, at this point the mod is more of a nice side activity if you have the time/supplies to blow on something that can come out so vastly inferior to your other troops.

So I think I figured out the issue. It seems Brutalize Protocol requires you to have two actions available and enemies must be in melee range(not in yellow tiles) to work. I'll check some more to be sure but feel free to add that to the description.

So I did some thinking. Technically I used another mod, Templar Psion, and that soldier class became a Psionic Mec Trooper. I think I'm not even using the same skilltree as the one you have in the video. Still thanks for looking into it! I'll see if the regular MEC trooper has issues with brutalize protocol as well. Thanks for your help regardless!

Oh, I I do have a question. I transformed a few psi mechs, the latest was a "Ghost Gatherer", From the Rising tides class. The abilties gained were just basic psi-abilities, and I was hoping some of the Ghost Gatherers abilities would transform over. Anyway to have whatever class we are transforming keep their abilities? I don't mind them being random, just pertaining to that certain class?

also anybody know how to add some slots for the mecs?
