Hey bud, I still love your mod ^^

I think I asked this before but do you think you will make a new class / skin for the other snakes?

I tried making a skin for this mod using the Rattler but sadly it didn't work, some reason can't add the skin to this mod.

Would love to have a army of snakes ^^

Would of been very lovely and cool to have different skins or at least separated snake classes with the different species from ShieldBreaker DLCs like the Rattler and the Adder

not sure if it's a mod i installed or because of the Butcher's circus updates, but some of the sound files aren't playing anymore (for example spit works fine, but infuse and looming gaze are completely silent) any ideas on what might have caused this?

@LeoArcticaa I'm not an artist, so selfmade skins aren't too likely sadly, but some day I might turn the other snakes into classes aswell, I'd definitely like to

Or even use the Rattlesnake or Viper as skins, or as seperate classes. That would be so awesome ^^

@Shiv not yet, I've found a way to do it maybe but I'm not an artist, so I'm gonna have to work with what the game gives me and edit that stuff to look more like what I need

I know this sounds needlessly petty, but you should probably make the nightime ambush prevention 4 or add a downside, it's a fun mod but it bothers me when I see 3 cost nightime ambush preventions

@NamelessBlade I've thought about that aswell but I'm not really sure if it's even possible to spawn on the hero side. Either way, I'm not too interested in big modding projects at the moment due to some personal reasons. Thank you for enjoying my mods though, means a lot!

This comment is somewhat of an addendum to my previous post as i see that 'PlutonicWave' is currently working on mods for both the 'Crocodillian' and 'The Collector', Although they are in Beta at the moment and have some issues from what i have read in the comments about the 'Crocodillian mod' at least.

Okay, despite how much i loath snakes in real life, this looks really cool. Would you consider trying to make 'The Collector' into one? Maybe as a solo party that relies on 'Collect Call' to fill in the empty spaces and assist him in battle, along with his high health to endure attacks till he can use them? Even if not like that, I have gained an image in my head where the adventurers enter a room and see some bandits and instead of attacking them they tell them to give up because they really don;t want to see what it will do to them. The bandits ask what it is and all of a sudden the door flies open and the towering form of 'The Collector' floats into the room eyes blazing eldritch blue as eyes his new quarry. Sorry if this sounds like a demand or something but i saw how you want to add more monsters as usable characters ans could not resist voicing the idea of turning that nightmare on our enemies. Maybe scale the image a bit up?
Thinking of Bigger Abomination, maybe even bigger than the other heros?
Would help to make the class appear more unique and not just copy&pasting the enemy, while not actually needing it's own image files

@Kiv Floso I've thought about the affliction/virtue thing myself, and I'll probably add it eventually, once I get the strings sorted out and also get a bit more motivated to mod again ;). I know the art/animation problem sucks, but since I can't really draw, much less animate, I don't exactly know how to fix it. Finally, I like the Serpent having the ability to talk, right now I'm just not done with all the strings so he sometimes says basic game stuff. I've almost finished though, so that update should come in the near future.

This is also a suggestion but if the snake were to reach 100 stress it should only have 2 options of a virtue or affliction. Virtue should be something were if the snake is hit theres a chance of it just going stealth for a round or 2, also at the start of its turn it could randomly start guarding other heros but selected randomly as well. Affliction should be something like the snake starts moving around the ranks in a panic to mess up yours heros position at the start of anyones turn and even possibly biting and blighting the other heros as it reverts to a somewhat feral nature.

I like the idea of the mod but the things i would change would be: Needs idle animation, I would like the armor and weapon portion to have at least some art not just stock photos of a snake and scales, in combat i notice that the snake actually speaks as any normal hero would which is odd to me as its a snake make its just hiss or put in brackets how the hiss would sound like if its in pain or happy that it kill an enemy, more color palettes would be nice but arnt really needed.

Good idea on the party name! I know about the idle problem, but there's not really anything else I can do about it, since this is based on an enemy and I can't animate myself.

@PlutonicWave Well, in case you didn't know, enemies don't have walking or idle animations, so you need to use what is there. The way I've done it, it may look a bit stiff at times, but in my opinion, that's way better than an affliction image crawling on your screen. And after the first combat, the combat animation stays, and it looks at least a bit like he's slithering along, no?

You need to wait a bit, the Serpent needs to show up in the stagecoach just like any other hero, it can take some time.

@Jabunnji I'd like to keep the ignore stealth on the ability, for mainly the reason that snakes are capable of doing it. I've thought about putting a destealth on looming gaze, but no ignore stealth, so you could buff then destealth (especially in the farmstead), what would you say to that? Also, I don't think stun or movement resist matters while stealth, since only aoe can hit you and there's not a lot of aoe stun/ move in the enemy arsenal I believe. The dodge debuff is there so that if something hits you during stealth, you will get hit, a trade off for buff and security from single target. The healing received debuff might be interesting, but I don't want to overnerf it, and imo, you'd mainly stealth if you wanted to heal, so that might be too rough?

i too have been trying to mod but when i modify the string files of characters and save it, the game ignores those changes. when i go back to the files,they are how i left them. what can i do to prevent that?

I've looked into the changes you made and so far it's looking good. Here are some suggestions, You could remove The ''Ignore Stealth'' from Pit Organs (I know it makes sense with what the animal is able to do in itself) and instead put a De-Stealth on ''Looming Gaze'' making it a move that can neutralize (hopefully) efficiently an enemy. Also, I don't believe the huge dodge debuff is entirely necessary on Conceal, maybe you could reduce the dodge debuff a lot and instead add another kind of small debuff like a stun resist debuff, movement resist debuff or incoming healing debuff.
