@Corrosion: they're Saxons from 'lazyboy'. you can find them in the TTS workshop.

What are the character models? Where can I get them?
SaltyO 23 Oct, 2018 @ 7:48pm
I figured as much. Hard to believe with the glut of models in the universe, especially plucked from PC games. I am surprised not to find (or I just lack the '733t' to know or whatever) a hub of model collectors who do just that, and I've looked.

I will remember your offer for sure, my Sketchup is not as strong as my GIMP 2d skill, I've been a bit apprehensive about trying to tackle yet another thing but it might come down to that as I'm snooty about stuff looking sort of accurate. i.e Gold coins in barrels and sewer systems in every medieval town are the kinds of aesthetic decisions that piss me off for some reason. Cheers.

@Elder_Salt: there is bugger all mate. for inspiration, i often go to sketchup to ogle...then model and texture something similar with fewer polygons (sadly their models are very poly heavy). if you can get a picture of roughly what it is that you want... drop it in the steamfriendchatwindow and i will give it a go.

[insert fluff]

I am putting together a low-fantasy d20 campaign series that takes place not in the Anglo-Celto-Germanic world of most fantasy RPGs but in a mythologized Central Asian melting pot somewhere in the region of Ancient Scythia, in a hypothetical "warm Siberia.... " TMI...

It has me thinking how little there is to gather in terms of design elements from places other than the aforementioned generic genre cartel. On the WS I have found some Japanese stuff, that's about it. I've been searching, mostly through looking at art, for medieval Russian and Ancient Persian style assets, or something remotely similar. I know you modded some really cool Chinese junk style ships once, so if anybody knows about the range of models out there on here it would probably be you. Not a request or anything, just curious.

@Auce: i tried that for you, but it messed up the UV. if you want a standalone tower, i can build something similar. i'll put it on the list. cheers.
Auce 17 Oct, 2018 @ 4:59pm
Hey there, is it possible for you to include versions of the two walled tower structures without the grassy bases and outer walls? Love your work.
Kendo353  [author] 17 Oct, 2018 @ 4:50am
@DonnieLove: sure, that's feasible. thanks for the suggestion.
DonnieLove 17 Oct, 2018 @ 1:36am
Love the addition of wooden palisades and other defenses. Any chance that you might make alternate bases for the anti-cavalry stakes? For example: mud to make it look like freshly made defenses.

sure. i'm making this at the moment... https://shop.1-72depot.com/miniatures/1-72/playsets/airfix-playsets/airfix-fort-apache/ but those square towers should be easy enough to add. cheers for the suggestion.
Baryonyx 29 Sep, 2018 @ 9:55am
Nice set, I really like those wooden fort pieces. Can you add towers too? Maybe a bit like these here:

Thanks for the blue set Ken!:greatwarstar:
Kendo353  [author] 28 Sep, 2018 @ 8:06pm
@MadMark56: sure, i already did that. but, to my eyes they were "in your face" all sticky out and spindly. i will bung one up, and you can see if you like it or not..
MadMark56 28 Sep, 2018 @ 6:46pm
Hey Ken,
Is it possible to make the oars visible, but make the colliders think they're not there? I'm so NOT a modeler, I don't even know if that's a ridiculous question!:2017eyeball:
Kendo353  [author] 28 Sep, 2018 @ 5:14pm
@MadMark56: you got it. i can add oars if you want them, but i found they just got in the way. cheers for the kind words about Lepanto. some more time and love needs spending on it ...but hey.. it's there for people to play with.
MadMark56 28 Sep, 2018 @ 2:45pm
Hey Kendo,
I also love your Lepanto ships, beautiful models. I did find I had one more request... no really just one! ;) When I went to replace the ships in my mod, I had the idea I could use them in states. sail up for move, down for battle, but the original blue-stripe ship has the same yellow head and tail as the yellow-striped one when the sails are down. If you have the time could you make a blue head & tailed set? Thanks for making this a much cooler project.:ttrhat:
Kendo353  [author] 28 Sep, 2018 @ 2:33pm
@MadMark56: no problem. glad they're useful. Roman Seas has a couple of Saxon boats that i hope to get round to building at some point. (like these...) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLNacLOIaVw
MadMark56 28 Sep, 2018 @ 11:39am
Un-believable Ken! Your stuff is just un-believable! The best stuff ever..made to order! Can't thank you enough! I'll have to develop some new naval battle mods to justify my request.:1775crossswords:
Kendo353  [author] 28 Sep, 2018 @ 8:22am
@Madmark: knocked up a couple of ship variants for you. images on the sails looked naff, so i went with the classic 'striped'. (includes mast down versions too). placed the colliders low in the boat, so figures should stand OK. let me know if you have any problems.. cheers.
MadMark56 22 Aug, 2018 @ 10:47am
Hey Kendo353,
Nice graphic update...I like the improved Viking ship.:greatwarstar:
Kendo353  [author] 10 Aug, 2018 @ 5:37am
@boylegd: hope you find them useful. give me a shout if you need anything. cheers..

Nice to see you posting more work here man :) Thanks for this.
