Technically, but it might throw an error message, I'll look into updating it when I get the chance I have been busy with my jobs and uni right now.

@Silt

Thanks, since posting the original for A18 I haven't changed anything since I hadn't really had any feedback.

I'll look into adding your suggestion as soon as I get the chance and re-familiarise myself with the way modding this game works. I haven't tried anything with it apart from changing the version number and following the steps the game gave me to fix an error it threw when I updated. Will post an update as soon as I get a chance.

The problem with electric smelters usually is, that you convert heat to power, and power back to heat. So producing the heat right on the spot should lower the energy loss, thus making it more efficient.
This mod seems to do the opposite. The Smelter requires 13.6 times more wood, than the wood-fired generator, but the electric smelter only uses 70% of the power from a single Generator.
If it burns that much wood, the heat it produces should be much higher aswell! (the Generator increases heat by 6 heat/sec. Your Smelter only by 0.36(the same as the electric smelter)) If you increase the heat proportional to the amount of wood burned, it would be 82 heat/sec (about as much as 4 heaters on full power)

I would either increase the power consuption for the electric smelter, or set the fuelConsumptionRate to about 14
