Report a translation problem
So did the mod just straight-up cause a game crash, as that means its something with the data files, like cubeblocks, ammo, ammo_mag, etc.
OR did it load okay, it just wasn't using the weapon core functionality. (This could mean there is something wrong with the way you set up the weapons files for either the weapons or the ammo, usually. It will say there is a script error in the logs [you can access that with F11 while in-game testing the mod] with the mod if this is the case, and if you are fortunate, it will tell you where it is)
Or do they fire just like they did in vanilla ( this means typically that there is an issue with the ammo, ammo_mag, or weapons files)
Also, these are some important questions. Does it crash the game when loading the world? Or does the weaponcore implementation just not work?
It could be easier than I thought to convert these weapons to WeaponCore
