The same happened to me. I tried to put my hand into the portal and then the loading screen popped up. So I had to restart SteamVR. I tried again and it happened again. Please fix this.

Alright, I tried it. It's not actual portals. They don't work like they would in portal. Also they crash steamvr home.

I'm using it for now and the portals arn't working or even showing but I like that it takes a little bit of ingenuity to go through wall wich is just enough to stop the people who try my headset from venturing into my private virtual room

Interesting idea, but the map is broken, unfortunately. You spawn in a small room with a button in it, in which you are trapped, because the button isn't doing anything (at least it didn't do anything for me, when going on it or putting objects on it).
The test chamber 00 exists under you. You can get there by walking through a wall and trying to teleport to the map under you. If you go through the blue portal, Steam VR Home crashes, unfortunately. Interesting idea nonetheless. I hope you will continue to work on that map, because I like the concept of having Portal maps in VR.

An interesting idea, but either something went wrong on my end, or this is broken. I spawn into an empty room with just a button in it. If I "cheat" by walking through the walls I can see that test chamber 00 exists below me, and if I jump around just right, I can get down to it. Clever work with simulating the portals, but when I touched one the VR home application crashed leaving me in the default white void Steam uses when there's nothing else to show.
