im not too smart but uh what does it do?
Burrito Crusader 15 Dec, 2024 @ 3:44pm
Hey, just letting you know that this mod breaks the game as of the most recent update. It doesn't immediately crash it but it is a problem because it prevents you from placing any further blocks or entering simulation mode or doing anything with any block, forcing you to quit. Pls fix!
Thunderbolt 14 Dec, 2024 @ 8:23am
When using this mod, the game crashes, when selecting a blueprint the vehicle does not load and the game does not work.
unlikeaboss 17 Mar, 2022 @ 9:20am
outdated return to centre is in the base game
Osome 7 Mar, 2022 @ 1:07pm
isn't this already a thing?
Sagyri 30 Dec, 2021 @ 9:39pm
the blocks don't respond to emulation from automation blocks, beyond that this is exactly what i've needed for a couple projects, so thanks for the great addition <3
Boxoid 30 May, 2021 @ 8:50am
So by angles you mean like I can place a block and itll be at the same angle

Eh didn't they add the feature to the normal hinge?
wizz6rd  [author] 28 Jul, 2019 @ 2:12pm
I was thinking of doing that, but proper implementation would require a custom menu of sorts. I haven't experienced with this yet, but I will try when I have time.
Diminds 22 Jul, 2019 @ 9:55am
Is it possible to make animated hinges? like you have frames with different positions and it starts the animation when you press a set button?
Burrito Crusader 20 Jul, 2019 @ 9:35am
Hey wizz6rd, sorry for the slow response - you did fix the problem with the update, thanks again.
wizz6rd  [author] 13 Jul, 2019 @ 8:58am
Thank you for the kind words!
I just made an update, let me know if there are still issues, I believe I fixed the bug you had.
Burrito Crusader 12 Jul, 2019 @ 2:15pm
Hi wizz6rd just wanted to say that upon saving my machine and then loading it, the directions for one of my RTC steering blocks reverses. This happens constantly on every creation I save, and even after correcting the rotation, it reverses again when I load it the second time even after saving my corrections. Could you look into this issue? You were very helpful when correcting the initial rotation issue a couple of months ago when I asked, thanks.
wizz6rd  [author] 29 Jun, 2019 @ 3:48pm
Ok, I hope this issue got fixed for you. Otherwise, I am not quite sure how to fix it.
Ferrous Rubble 29 Jun, 2019 @ 9:11am
@wizz6rd sorry for the really late reply don't check my inbox really, yes i was at the time of writing that comment but not any more as i have had a windows computer for a few months now
wizz6rd  [author] 26 Jun, 2019 @ 4:42am
I doubt I will add that because it sounds like a normal hinge + a return to center hinge would do what you say. Maybe in the future, thanks for the suggestion!

Feature request for the steering block: Return to Angle
Is it possible for the steering block to return to a specific angle when you let go of the button instead of completely unwinding to its original position? For example, I hold the button and the block rotates three and a half times. When I let go I only want to rotate back half a turn, not three and a half!

Great mod so far! It has made a lot of my complex spaghetti hinges completely redundant :)
Age Of Mike 26 May, 2019 @ 8:04pm
It seems that the blocks this mod adds are invisible for me. The red arrow showing direction is present but no model for the blocks. That aside, really awesome mod.
Cats 16 Mar, 2019 @ 7:37am
Also, the mod as it is is a gamechanger. Thanks a lot for making it!
Cats 16 Mar, 2019 @ 7:36am
Would there be any possibility of adding similar fuctions to pistons? So they could start half-way and extend up and down from there? (It would make a really cool adjustable suspension!)
Schwibble Dibble 17 Feb, 2019 @ 2:18pm
thank god this mod exists. the regular steering sucked. thanks for saving us all.
Sgt Sauris 28 Jan, 2019 @ 1:09pm
I sort of get it. Not super intuitive, but it will help. I'll test it out later. Thank's for the quick response. Keep it up!
wizz6rd  [author] 27 Jan, 2019 @ 4:06pm
You can do that already:
Place your hinge and make it move in only one direction, then set it in toggle mode. So now, everytime you press that key, it either moves to the one direction, or goes back to the middle.
Rather than moving, say 20 degress in each direction, you make it move 40 in only one direction, but rotate the hinge 20 degrees when you place it.
Do you see what I mean? Hope that can help
Sgt Sauris 27 Jan, 2019 @ 2:12pm
The ability to use toggle mode on the hinge to toggle it to one maximum or the other would be pretty cool. Otherwise, great mod. Fineally can build flaps for my plane.
wizz6rd  [author] 17 Jan, 2019 @ 5:18am
the official Besiege discord, I am sure you can find it somewhere
El ducko 17 Jan, 2019 @ 4:38am
is there a discord I could join it would be easier
El ducko 17 Jan, 2019 @ 4:36am
Ok
wizz6rd  [author] 16 Jan, 2019 @ 2:07pm
What you posted here was a local address, something that only shows you the picture on your computer. I can't open that file. If you want, go on an image hosting website and upload the picture there.
El ducko 16 Jan, 2019 @ 1:58pm
did you copy and paste it into google?
wizz6rd  [author] 16 Jan, 2019 @ 6:32am
I can't see the file, I don't think you can post them as comments
wizz6rd  [author] 15 Jan, 2019 @ 5:36pm
When you launch Besiege with the mod enabled, could you open the console with the key having these two symbols: " ~ " and " ` ". Tell me if any red (error) messages appear. See if any appear when you enter a level, if a message does appear, could you describe it here or post the picture somewhere? If you can post it on the Besiege discord that would help also. Thanks
wizz6rd  [author] 15 Jan, 2019 @ 1:54pm
ok, I will have a look
El ducko 15 Jan, 2019 @ 10:24am
I can use your mod but cant see it.\
El ducko 15 Jan, 2019 @ 8:23am
Yea i can see other modded blocks I can use theme but I dont see a texture
wizz6rd  [author] 15 Jan, 2019 @ 7:50am
No the blocks should be visible and they are there. Have you tried other mods that add blocks and can you see them?
Check the following just in case:
- Subscribe to this mod, go into the besiege main menu and click "Mods"
- Is this mod listed there? Is it "ON" or "OFF"? If it is off, turn it on and restart Besiege
- Once the mod is turned on, go into any level to build something, see if the modded blocks are present (Modded blocks appear in the left-most block category!)
Tell me if after this you still can't see the blocks
El ducko 15 Jan, 2019 @ 7:04am
Hey @wizz6rd the blocks are invisible I dunno if my computer is shit or if you never added them in yet.
:steamhappy:
Тини Эирлайнс 10 Jan, 2019 @ 12:39pm
ya, this mod is exactly what I was looking for and waiting for, for my future spider from "wild wild west"))) and other walking contructions. All of i nedeed, it was looped control trigger. And with that mode i can do everything,i even dont need wheels ))) Thanks alot.
wizz6rd  [author] 10 Jan, 2019 @ 12:35pm
no problem, I hope you enjoy the mod!
Тини Эирлайнс 10 Jan, 2019 @ 12:16pm
ya, my fault, didnt checked that button.Excuse for disturbing)
wizz6rd  [author] 10 Jan, 2019 @ 10:08am
If the mod says it is "ON" then it should be working, are you using the proper blocks? These are NOT the normal hinges, they are modded blocks, and they appear in the bottom left-most category of blocks
Тини Эирлайнс 10 Jan, 2019 @ 8:12am
hello there, i have question: what version of game ur mode supports? cuz i installed that mode and it doesn't work.It is displayed in mode menu "on", but does not work in the game. Thanks for answer.
wizz6rd  [author] 16 Dec, 2018 @ 7:27am
Haha, I just happen to have some free time and the code I wrote had already a place to switch the angle limits (I had issues with it in the past, so I implemented it when I first released the mod). It is indeed sad to sometimes not have a functioning mod because the author doesn't want to fix/adjust it, but sometimes the envy doesn't come. If you ever have suggestions about any of my mods, leave them in the comments, I see them!
Burrito Crusader 16 Dec, 2018 @ 7:24am
Thank you, the update you just released fixed the problem. So now there's a fully working mod AND a new feature, all fixed up in about 10 seconds flat! I am amazed at your dedication and cannot thank you enough for how useful this is and how quickly you respond to comments - i've seen mod developers that don't even read them!
wizz6rd  [author] 16 Dec, 2018 @ 7:20am
Thanks for catching that, I made another update which should fix the angle limits on the steering block. Happy to hear the new mode is working well
Burrito Crusader 16 Dec, 2018 @ 7:11am
Hello! Thank you for the incredibly fast response - your update has partially fixed the issue. The only problem now is when using steering blocks (Yes, it was just steering blocks, the hinges seemed fine), the angle limiter is now swapped. If you, before the update, were to set your limit to 90deg left, it would now be limited to 90deg right. Other than that, I can confirm that the new "Side to Side" feature works incredibly well, thank you for implementing that!
wizz6rd  [author] 16 Dec, 2018 @ 6:50am
I just updated. If what you described was the "steering block" turning in the opposite direction of the red arrow on the block, or simply turning opposite of what it should be, then the update I just made should fix it. However, if you say "all blocks" including the hinge, then I am not sure what you mean, and I doubt I can fix that. I hope the new feature is worth breaking old machines
Burrito Crusader 16 Dec, 2018 @ 6:39am
It seems that with a recent update all of the directions for the blocks have been swapped. This means that say if I were to load in an old plane I made, the aerofoils now tilt in the opposite direction as of this recent update. Is it possible for you to provide a fix or undo this, I believe it is the same update you mention in the below comment about the 'Swing back and forth' functionality.
wizz6rd  [author] 15 Dec, 2018 @ 1:24pm
@Shadestyle I updated the mod with what you suggested, I liked the idea a lot!
