兼容性
这个模式不兼容我的另一个波浪模式,海啸波,它会产生巨大的海浪。

我的其他水模式
如果你想要更大的浪,那就去看看海啸波吧!

@Jay - It is 100% compatible with Sukritact's Oceans.
Jay 6 May, 2022 @ 8:55am
Not compatible with SUK's Ocean mod

This is much better than the other Version, because its toned down.
I would prefer both Versions still more turned down, like the normal one becomes this here and this even more turned down.

Great mod! Somehow I don't see Flood Barrier anymore. After turning off the mod they show up again. Is it just me?

Comments seem to indicate this works with the Sept patch and I like it A LOT so going to add it to my new compatible only mod group. Thank you very much for this great mod. :)

Hi p0kiehl,

How would I go about making the waves even smaller? I really like the effect but would like them at 30% to 50% the current size. Is there a simple "turn this value down in this file" solution?

Thank you, and thanks for the mods.

They should pay you for your work, I am surprised we get these mods free!

Thank you very much for the kind words!

This mod is a simple mod. Doesn't help you negotiate. Doesn't help you with building Wonders or Districts or anything else. It just makes the game a little better by giving you a graphical boost in the form of wave against sea cliffs. Coupled with Vibrant Waters it is a very nice "eye candy" mod.
Well done p0kiehl. For me, it makes the game better.
zon 19 Feb, 2019 @ 3:28am
thx for the update :)

Nice quick update for Gathering Storm, thanks. This mod fits right in with the xpack theme doesn't it?

Oh, I did throw you a 1+ though. I always forget that crap.

I'm downloading this one, I have to unsubscribe because I don't keep any mods installed by steam just move them to the documents folder with proper names that make more sense than 398273849493827289439, but wanted to take a moment to tell you what a wonderful idea I think this is and how happy I will be if it doesn't crash everything which assuming it's just meshes/textures or particle effects replacers or w/e should be fine im sure. Thank you.
Honeywine 27 Nov, 2018 @ 5:03pm
This is so pretty! Thank you for making this.

thanks!

@NappingPanda - Thanks a lot for the high praise! I do actually make a lot of mods, check my Workshop page for a look. And I'm not sure if you saw the link the description, but I also made a mod called Vibrant Waters that improves the water textures - I figure you may like that as well! https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1472662589/

This is one of the best mods out there period. Super great idea. I only wished you did more. CIV team should pay you because you added a feature to make this game look better than what they made it out ot be. Great job!
p0kiehl  [author] 15 Sep, 2018 @ 12:34pm
Thanks man I'm really glad you enjoy my mods!
Borealis 15 Sep, 2018 @ 4:00am
so appearingly, i had over 3k characters in my comment. wanted to make 2 parts, but both had too many characters after that. because i made it in paragraphs, i couldnt just cut it in any place. so it is now 4 comments. this one is just here cuz this info didnt fit in part one anymore xD
Borealis 15 Sep, 2018 @ 3:58am
there is much work in coding, in any game, all the parts, you - technically - dont see, and that is a vast thing in a game and, for sure, what makes a game a game in the beginning.
however, visuals are just as important: you PLAY WHAT YOU SEE. you dont play what you dont see (except if you see it purely technical obviously, as i stated before). its the eye - the graphics - that makes a game stand up or fall down.
if civ looks now particular great or not, its taste. i, for myself spoken, like the more colourful tone more than the older, more gray-ish and realistical tone. what i found to be bad tho, is that it looks boring, at quite some points. water being one of these points. the waves were not really... anything interesting. i mean okay, so they could also not distract from playing; but, again, we dont directly play the code we should be focussing on by this design. we play what we see. and boring is... too boring.
Borealis 15 Sep, 2018 @ 3:56am
2nd part of comment cuz over 3k characters

this mod fixes the waves really well; meanwhile your other mod, for me, is a tad too big. the idea is great, but i think, it just needs to look more interesting in general. and this mod does this PERFECTLY! THANK YOU! also THANK YOU A TON FOR VIBRANT WATERS - MAKES WATER INCREDIBLE BEAUTIFUL TO LOOK AT!
Borealis 15 Sep, 2018 @ 3:55am
3rdd part of comment cuz over 3k characters appearently

another thing i think looks kinda boring, are, for one, the nation borders - they are all exactly hexagonal (per tile), and dont really have the dynamics the civ 5 borders had, while both have the same gameplay relevance and effect after all! but it looked much more natural, more, as said, dynamic, than in civ 6 with its hard, blocky ones.
Borealis 15 Sep, 2018 @ 3:54am
4th part of comment cuz over 3k characters appearently xD

the other, i think, boring thing i found to be, are the mountains. idk their design looks just like... nothing really? just in theory - as there is already a mod that makes mountains passable, and a seconde one that gives it then a yield; would it be possible to give mountains recources, that give it a slight visual - and then even gameplay affecting - overhaul? they would become more interesting in all ways possible - it wont cause wars for mountains, but it makes cities close to mountains more tempting to build.

this is just an idea - sadly i have no idea of coding and modding whatsoever, if i had, i would make this myself... but dang my not at all existing skills

nice
Laurana Kanan 15 Aug, 2018 @ 12:26pm
@Glemt - It's fairly simple to compare the base game's Wave.artdef with this mod's to see the changed values and then adjust to your own liking. I settled upon a 25% increase in the base game numbers.
Glemt 15 Aug, 2018 @ 10:57am
I love the look, but wish the waves were even smaller so they would be less Tsunami still : )
