Is this design choice part of the portal 1 asthetic, or is it lacking edge textures?

Think about adding textures here, as well as rails and grating behind the arms.

As a final thought, maybe you could add some speaker systems, circuit breakers, and/or a door to the ratman den. Also consider making the acid reflect entities.
