Hello everyone
I made a new Mod named Interactive World. It is similar to this one but more advanced.
Plants grow there by themself and you cand build some cool Camping stuff.
I will abandon this Mod, so I can work on the other one.

@Armorguy1
Give me some time. I am working on a new mod which you can chopp wood and harvest plants which grow be themself on the map.

I have always wondered why you couldn't harvest those "spaghetti cacti" in some parts of the map. This mod does something slightly different but atleast it's something.

Could always just make a big-ol' Scavangers mod...lol.

I will use farming skill to harvest the plants so if you are not skilled it is possible to fail. Then you have to come back until they are full grown again. I will try to get a working mod as soon as possible. If you have some good ideas for special plants tell me.

Hehehe, I think I found out how to let the plants grow by themself, so you can harvest them only when they are ready to take. So they will grow, die and grow again and stay as no faction. Thats really cool. It is simpler than I thought :)
The only dump thing is, I have to put them all manualy on the hole map. But so I can make them rare and put them only in dangerous zones muahahaha

You had me at "survival". LOL. That's something that I've been looking for in a mod for a long time. Looking forward to the finish product!

With this mod I was testing what I can do with the FCS. The rock carrots are a good idea.
I will look into it. Give me some time.
I was thinking to make a "survival" mod where you cant build up a outpost so fast. So you have to live and gather your thing from the world and not buy everything in a shop (more camping stuff).
I could make the trees in the world to be used to harvest wood and add so another building material.
I am not sure how much the preformance of the game will fall. So I am still testing.

Like an individual plant, not really a farm. Think of the rock carrots from the desolate farming mod.

Wow this is a great idea. Good job Stupendous Man. I haven't tried this yet so I'm curious, did harvesting this tied to farming skill? Regarding balancing, maybe make it so that you can't eat it raw? Maybe make it so that you have to boil or grill them on open fire to make it edible?

I like the idea of just finding and gathering them. It feels more realistic. Mushrooms are traditionally a pain to cultivate. At the minute have you just made one of the plants that was already in the game have a function of generating food? Or have you added more of those plants around the world? I feel they should be quite rare, otherwise it might be too easy to get food, especially if they're 10nu, stackable, light, and you can get infinite number from 'mining' them. Maybe add some race restrictions on them to balance this? Like, animals, shek and hivers can't eat them, because biochemistry. Or reduce the 'nu' a bit to balance the fact they're free.

You want them to be replantable., like a farm? Ok, if I have the time I can add this.
jbra1 15 Aug, 2018 @ 7:41pm
This is cool! I'm going to try it out.
Unahku 15 Aug, 2018 @ 5:22pm
ok, so you can't plant them anywhere? alrighty. It would be cool if you where able to make it replantable
Stupendous Man  [author] 15 Aug, 2018 @ 4:09pm
I used the foliage from the world map. So you can harvest them everywhere the devs put this kind of plant in the world.

There are some near the Flotsam Village in the Hidden Forest region.
Unahku 15 Aug, 2018 @ 3:59pm
so where can you find these?
