This is adorable. I love it.

So satisfying to stunlock bees and spiders with essentially your fists. Makes it easier to cancel attacks for shadow duelists too. Love it. Only downside is you can't see the book while it is in Maxwells hand. Still 9.5/10

This mod would be amazing if you could adjust the dmg.

I think you misunderstood the difference between DS single player and DST.
The Maxwell's journal is not readable in DST. It should be put on the ground to enable a crafting tab. And according to The Forge, the animation while holding the book will not show, and it only shows when attacking.
FYI :)

Still very sad that this does not work... It will go into the equip slot but you cannot attack.
It also DISABLES the books regular magic functions because "equip" is in the place of reading...
This is very bad. I looked inside and I do not think it is all there. Nne of the code for a weapon is present it just pastes into the waxwelljournal an equip function. but even when that is fixed... I could not fix the animations because inside there is a build but no anim... If you could share the original exported folder maybe I could fix for you? If not then maybe I will just make a new one and share for others. I do not understand how 1,454 people have this and noone sees it does not work...

Is an animation for him holding the book similarly to a spear or a tool planned or does it not work with the animation of him swinging the book?

It also lets you hold the book in your hands rather then an inventory, freeing up a inventory slot for other equipment.

What about doing the same thing for Wicker's books, only that she and Maxwell are the only ones that can equip them because they are the only ones who can handle such knowelge?
