Good idea, but i prefer the economy part to be a part of the game

You've got to buy a text editor on the Microsoft Store.

Captain, Is it possible i can get this map file? I would like to add in a couple of static towns to it in particular area to model my actual RR I have in my basement, but i want the towns to populate andgrow as i play. How can I get the map file from the game?

I love your introduction. I can make models for the concept, but i never did somethihg for TPF if anybody could "translate" my 3ds max files into a right file for the game.... I'll love you

@Dgidge .. Hmmmm .. you gave me an idea with that .. set the map size as is BUT draw out an area to precise scale and raise the terrain significantly, leaving the border below sea level. That way we can have a more realistic, "door." Could even have several setup for Z, N, HO and O scale (though O scale is so ridiculously big to put on a door, it probably wouldn't be worth it).

Again, anyone wanting to mod this map to a proper N scale, you can use the terrain height mod / level terrain (the name escapes me at the moment) to bring it up and set new dimensions to work on. The width for N Scale is roughly 58 tracks side by side, and the height would be 145 tracks.

That's good! You shouldn't! ;) This is basically a sandbox map to build a, "model railroad" on. No finances, no supply and demand, just eye candy. You build your own cities/towns/factories with asset packs.

@Cptn. Ocdadd. I dont see any cities and/or industries anywhere on this map and the river map.

If you want to have a more real scale, you can flat a part of the map and use things like this : https://www.transportfever.net/filebase/index.php/Entry/591-Model-Railroad-Transformer/
Maybe using a material like a plank or a table underneath.

i love this idea.... i always thought transport fever has virtual model railroad potential! I use transport fever with my own created cities so I can transport "pretend" people while using the no cost mod.

Well remember, its not exactly right! I did some calculations (the OCD in Ocdadd Lol) and found that on the average sized door, you could line up 58 N Scale tracks side by side for the width. The height of the door is roughly 2.5x the width. Unfortunately, the minimum size requirements for Transport Fever maps as well as the fact that the values must be multiples of 256, cause this map to be almost 3 times that size, with a height to width ratio of 3:1. Just something to keep in mind. ;)

Cool. I currently use N scale and am trying to prepare room to build a layout. This could help me with size proportions.
