Don't worry you're never obligated to give a map a thumbs up or even to like it! This map was made to illustrate a simple trick and nothing else, so yeah it's not super interesting. I didn't think of placing light strips at the time, but you're right that it would have been a nice addition for player friendliness

Decent little map, but too small to get my thumbs up (no offense).
Is there any other way to get the cube onto the fizzler button in the first place other than standing on the button, getting the cube in an infinifling, then shooting the exit portal on the wall so the cube flings towards me ? Because I'd prefer some light strips or something to help me better line up my portals since the whole floor and ceiling are white. I ended up using the corner.
For future reference ;-)

@Little Wheatley
Yep the title is definitely a hint here! Thanks for playing again, I'm glad you're enjoying my maps :)

:qr: Great puzzle! Not new idea but implement so elegant. Only when I found solution I discovered
that clue is set in the puzzles name 'Perpetual motion is motion of bodies that continues indefinitely'. Really enjoyed. And again to Favorites. Thank you for creating. :steamhappy:

nice little map. had tried to do the solution but wasnt doing it right. then i read a comment that it was right so i went back and tried it in a different way. haha that was it. yay!

Haha you had the right idea fairly fast, but kept executing it from the wrong place! But you got there in the end, well done. Thanks for playing and for the video!

Nice little puzzle! The technique of having the cube go in an infinite loop is pretty cool, and I haven't seen it used much. :) Of couse I overcomplicated it. :P

The stairs were my first idea, but it looked very messy and didn't even slow the player down enough, so yeah I went for what seemed to be the more convenient and elegant solution. Thanks for playing and for the comment!

This was hardly the focus of the puzzle but I liked using the lift to slow the players down. Usually I see people make a big glass tunnel or use lots of stairs. The lift is a way more elegant solution to that problem and I'll keep it in mind for when I need to use it haha.

Love it, add to favoris ! <3
Expat 22 Aug, 2018 @ 6:08am
Ah, I see. That makes sense - no need to shorten it on my account.
Leo  [author] 22 Aug, 2018 @ 1:37am
@Atom
Thank you, my next map should be harder ;)
@Expat
With a too short timer it would be possible to solve it without having the cube go in a loop so I wanted to make it clear that wasn't the solution. But if you felt it was frustrating I'll see if I can shorten it a bit. Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
Expat 22 Aug, 2018 @ 12:56am
Good fun although I'm not convinced that long timer was really necessary. Fun, in any case - thanks for creating.

Very easy map and a clever way to use the funnel.

@PhilFromFrance
Et encore merci d'avoir joué !
@Mikeastro
Oh I see, I'll fix it soon, thank you for pointing that out! I was kind of aware that the title gave a huge hint, but it fits so well I couldn't help myself xD but you're right, I'll be more subtle from now on.
@Nobody No-One
Thank you, and you're right the title maybe makes it a bit too obvious, I'll be more subtle next time!
@Joric
Very clean solution, thanks for playing and leaving a comment!
@bullfrog
Thanks, glad you enjoyed :)

Nice one.

Funny map! My few seconds: https://youtu.be/JlT9zc5XKco
Nobody No-One 18 Aug, 2018 @ 8:09pm
Solved it pretty quickly, since I've seen the concept ( and, indeed, the title kind of gave it away ) but it's still a fun map. Thumbs up.
Mikeastro 18 Aug, 2018 @ 3:16pm
Did it intended now - very cleanly implemented, though the title is really a dead giveaway!
Mikeastro 18 Aug, 2018 @ 3:05pm
You can actually make the timing if you drop the cube in a floor portal into the fizzler just before the funnel pulls you through the fizzler and you run to the button
EndOfPortal 18 Aug, 2018 @ 1:10pm
Encore un très bon puzzle :SpRad_ThumbsUp:
Leo  [author] 18 Aug, 2018 @ 10:39am
Thank you for playing and leaving a comment! Yeah, the whole point of the puzzle being to find a way to prevent the cube from getting fizzled before you can reach the button the timer was critical ;)
jgaultney 18 Aug, 2018 @ 9:47am
A very entertaining, fun puzzle! My solution was the same as yours. :)
At first, I wondered about that long timer then realized it prevented a shortcut. :P
