@Amaranthen Go for it! I give you permission to do so.
Amaranthen 24 Jan @ 5:35pm
There is a mod that uses AOC units and unit cards for the GC, I wonder if I may have your permission to incorporate your mod (and give you credit ofc) to add more Roman units to that mod?
Taullis  [author] 23 Jan @ 7:56pm
There's a GC version linked at the top of the description that comes with a bonus unit - the Akritai, a versatile medium infantry.
Amaranthen 23 Jan @ 12:33am
Hey brother, may I import this excellent mod into GC? I'll credit you of course.

Hello, your mods are great, but you could add the Klivanion to the elite units, I think it is the most beautiful and epic armor of the Eastern Romans, greetings

This is so far my favourite mod for Theme of Sicily.
Sneed 11 Apr, 2021 @ 3:22pm
Can I use the models for the Cataphact and Scholarii?
pj 4 Dec, 2018 @ 12:17am
plesa 240 men per unit
Taullis  [author] 4 Nov, 2018 @ 11:47am
@Draco, That seems that is a stat added by another of your mods. In my playtesting, these guys will shred all but the very heaviest infantry - usually inflicting 30-50% casualties before the enemy closes the gap. However, they will eventually break. Medium to light infantry never makes it that close.

Optimaoi Archers seems to have 0 Accuracy, is this value relevant? Im afraid to waste tons of money in a supposedly good unit. https://i.imgur.com/PAU6CwI.png
vusalf 28 Oct, 2018 @ 6:29am
why would you need these units in GC? GC is set in 395 and goes from there but these units are more like from 9-10 AD. Is there a mod that lets to play GC map in Byzantium time?
Couch 13 Oct, 2018 @ 5:02pm
entire economy colapsed when I trained 4 units of athenatoi 10/10 perfect byzantium simulation

Κωνσταντῖνος 3 Sep, 2018 @ 11:52pm
You have certainly captured the Romans in the medieval period. I look forward to seeing a GC release
Silas 27 Aug, 2018 @ 3:47pm
Thank you very much for releasing this. I'm very much looking forward to your GC release and anything else you put out. Top quality work!
Sendo 25 Aug, 2018 @ 6:58am
would be nice to this mod also for the whole byzantium (Map). not just age of charlemagne
TallestDavid 25 Aug, 2018 @ 4:57am
missing long spears menulatoi.
i see its late byzantine.
maybe add pronoia infantry or even cav. which are basiaclly heavier western looking units. heard their were more cav. but heavier pronoia infantry wont be too bad :P
also the cost are wrong. skutotai swords and spears cost more then the tagmata troops here.
i htink your cost are bases on grand campign?
TallestDavid 24 Aug, 2018 @ 11:31pm
OMG! do this for eastern roman empire too?! or eeven make a grand campign of this?

Those units look really well made, great job!
I was just thinking about starting a new campaign, any estimate when your GC version will be out?
Sir George 21 Aug, 2018 @ 1:38pm
Very Nice Great work thank you
Jason Wolf 21 Aug, 2018 @ 1:23pm
Which one?
Taullis  [author] 20 Aug, 2018 @ 5:33pm
@vusalf - Personally, I've been using Moon Hoplite's Conversion mod when I play as Sicily.
GriffMeister 20 Aug, 2018 @ 1:48pm
Get rid of the Palailalogoi (backwards B) symbols on the shields, they didn't exist until the 1200s, and the Varangian Guard didn't exist until the 900s, Slavic/Balkan Merecenaries would make more sense for the Charlemagne era, other than that good mod.
+Holy+ War Pig 20 Aug, 2018 @ 1:41pm
Daaaamn, this is great. Maybe you can contact the guy who made this and replace your roman units with his: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=662742714&searchtext=islam
vusalf 20 Aug, 2018 @ 10:56am
which mod do you recommend to play as Sicily so to use these units?
L´immortale 20 Aug, 2018 @ 10:46am
Hello Taullis,
First of all amazing work from you, as I said and wrote many times before some modders create better game play than CA :-). I try to play your MOD with this mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1202449125
and it is playable, some units from your MOD is available in campaign AoC. But I will wait for your finish work as you wrote it in the description.

@AQUAFEIX - Yes, as I said in the descritpion that is already in the works.
verzclix 19 Aug, 2018 @ 2:11pm
Could you make a mod that would add these units to the main campaign?
Jefe 19 Aug, 2018 @ 12:31pm
please do the extending you were talking about.
Just good Business 19 Aug, 2018 @ 8:40am
Splendid work, finally a reason for playing AoC again!
Taullis  [author] 19 Aug, 2018 @ 7:01am
@Ivar - Most of the Varangians will wear a coifed and plumed spangenhelm with typical Byzantine scaled aventail. The rest will wear Vendel helmets to reflect their viking heritage - even then they still have some subtle Roman influence. Its a design decision on my part, as it can be difficult when modding to tell a visual story about each unit and their origins.
Ivar The Boneless 19 Aug, 2018 @ 6:33am
nice mod but is the varangoi units suppose to look like late era Danish viking long axes with vendel helmets with plated lamelar armor?
Jason Wolf 19 Aug, 2018 @ 6:21am
Great work. I say this on TWC and wwlas afraid that is wasn't finished.
Charlemayne 18 Aug, 2018 @ 7:17pm
These look awesome! great work!
