Just did a massive revamp of each hero's riposte, and fixed many long-lasting bugs.

It was the mod: "No riposte debuff DMG stacking"

Likely a mod conflict, because he still has a riposte for me at level 3 and above. Do you have another mod installed that changes "highwayman.info.darkest" or "base.effects.darkest"?

You could also move this mod up higher in the mod load order, to override other mods' changes

For me, Dismas' riposte just vanished. Is this a mod conflict issue or something else? Because Duelist's advance doesn't have a riposte. It vanishes at LVL 3 or higher.

can someone just make me a mod with legendary items that either, activate riposte, or give extra actions, not that this mod is not what i was looking for, but i have searched everywhere and alot of basic mods just dont exist for example, no disease locking, no random disease removal, no negative quirk manual locking, its a bit much and im not even to gameplay mechanics, im about to the point of tearing the code open and making these myself, but i work 60 hours a week in a factory so thats going to be a long time coming i guess. (great mod, thanks for having one of the things i nearly lost my mind over)

Welp, after four years of my sudden oh-so-mysterious disappearance, I returned to playing DD and then decided to update this mod again. Full details are in the patch notes, but in general I fixed some bugs and re-balanced some riposte skills. Fun fun fun.

This mod doesnt work... or it works just in parts... bc the ripostes only work for few characters in the game.
Do u have a idea why?

Does this even work? I hav this with all the DLC and no other mods installed, and the bonuses change (such as the crusader's shield of faith having 10% PROT instead of 20%), but there is no mention of ripote in ANY of his skills

If i put the leper unchained 2019 on top of this mod the unchained changes wont apply, if apply this mod, the oposite happens and the riposte wont apply, how to make it work?

T-Pose Leper changes the “.info” file of the Leper, which makes it incompatible with this mod since this mod also does the same. Try disabling both mods first and see if your game stops crashing or not.

I suppose it's not normal that the antiquarian risposte give TO THE ENNEMY the single target buff -5% stress and -5% damage receive I mean just by the -5% stress damage receive on A MONSTER I know something is wrong it's not game breakig but anoying and the antiquarian riposte is already not that strong Can you take a look Thanks is advance

Hmmm, so - deleting the mod and putting it back dIdnt work, but unchecking the mod from the game removed one instance of the bonuses - so that say, Bolster only has -20% stress resistance twice! The investigation moves forward :P

Sounds good, let me know how it goes. If the problem persists, it might be due to some clashing with other mods, but we can sort that out in DMs.

I will give that a shot and let you know how it goes tomorrow! I am using TONS of other mods- mostly characters, backgrounds, skins and monsters - I am also using a couple of difficulty mods, including your Colour of Madness one, the Virulent Courtyard & much more (like Hard Earned Districts and some Boss Reworks, though those havent worked yet.)

Oh I see what you mean. Yeah uh, that’s the first time I hear of it. Maybe try unsubbing and resubbing? Or better yet delete the riposte mod files from the workshop folder so that you don’t come across this issue a second time, and then resub afterwards.

Thank you for the swift response - but I think the problem might be elsewhere, because for example, moving over the skill, I can see in its description/tool tip window that it will add the buff multiple times: for example, Bolster grants 10 dodge, and -20% stress received, -20% stress received & -20% stress received - and also gives its buffs 3 times - stacked on top of each other inside the tool tip box and when i use it in combat, it gives 30 acc, 30 crit and 75% damage increase while guarded - this is the only mod I have that modifies these files, but i have no idea how to fix it

They're probably different buffs/debuffs coming from all 4 heroes if you have them all riposting at once. That's why you might see the "Buff!" and "Debuff!" text appear more than once

Hey! Quick question - the mod works great, but a lot of the buffs and debuffs seem to apply multiple times when using a skill... not quite sure why, but the line for it just comes up multiple times - and this is true for skills that dont even cause riposte....

Looked for a class that I know cant normaly Riposte. My Vestal has a chance to Riposte on Illumination 3.

At first I thought this mod didn't work at all then I then reread everything --> "Riposte effects are not available at level 1 of a skill, instead, they appear on level 3 skills."

My dumb ass was looking at my newbies guys (higest one is 2 ) wondering where the heck the Riposte was.

I noticed this on my Shieldbreaker, since it is a mod to its self will check on reg guys when I can get them buffed enough.

Posting this to help blind people like me from getting frustrated needlessly.

No crashes, just doesnt add the ripostes on the characters as intended. Yeah, folders exist and files are in there (approx 2.5mb). Also tried starting a new game w/o DLCs enabled and loading this mod, still no luck on making it work on my side tho

I assume this mod's not causing you to crash, right? It's just that your heroes aren't getting the riposte effects from this mod.

Go to Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/262060/1486296407, and let me know if that folder exists. That contains all of this mod's data.

yeah, i tried. started a new game with only this mod on aswell (enabled/checked). no luck, still didnt work. hopefully i can get it to work somehow in the long run. haha. thanks anyway! this is really an interesting and great mod to the gameplay

It's compatible with CC and CoM. You might need to restart DD and/or Steam to make sure the files are actually downloaded. Did you make sure to *enable* the mod once you placed it at the top of your load order?

i keep putting this on top of my load order. doesnt seem to trigger. does this work with CC and CoM?

Hmm no, it appears to not work at the moment for me. Even alone, though I do have the other 3 active with it.

If you subscribed to the mod, activated it on your save file via the main menu, and your heroes can't riposte attack at all, it's likely you have another mod installed that's interfering with this mod (anything that affects the hero ".info" files in particular).

Or it's possible you need to restart DD and/or Steam to actually download the mod itself, if it didn't download the first time.

You could go into the workshop files for this mod (look for a folder titled '1486296407', then go to 'heroes') and delete folders for certain heroes if you don't want them to have riposte abilities.

I really wish there was a version of this mod for just some specific classes who need a buff with riposte,Some classes don't even need this at all while other are still outclassed with the buff. I really wished there was an option for each class,cause I really wanted the riposte on grave robber and flagellant but I feel cheap using others so I basically leave out an entire move for ever. Hopefully the author or someone does it or if someone can tell me a way how.

The Shieldbreaker riposte with Serpeant's Sway (Block+Riposte) makes battles laughable. It needs to be nerfed to do less damage or have a percentage of activating.
