I had not looked for a file named "default" ...
I had found the others, 1A and 1B ;-)
If you can't find it -- I could post a copy in the 'Artwork' Steam tab. For the '18 game, I can't confirm what is in the mod -- my disk space isn't sufficient to maintain my local files that far back.
Thanks for the DB.
Where can I find the generic portrait used for cyclists who do not have photos?
I would like to use it on the riders generated by the game via the editor but I cannot find it in the photo folder.
Thanks in advance !
To add the faces, go to this PCM18 mod:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1425871933
Instructions for adding the women pro masks are the that mod's description. Basically, once you subscribe to that mod, the faces will download with the mod contents. Then, you will need to back up the men pro masks in the game folders, and copy in the women masks. The masks are only in one mod because the files are large.
If something goes wrong, please add a comment.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2018\3D\Cyclists\Cloth
To add a new version, anyone could create a "qst" folder with the new jersey and stick it here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2018\3D\Cyclists\Cloth
or in the mod folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\704230
Yes, please: the course in Sandefjord. if you can find it.
To make a Pro-Career game harder, I found this works:
19-year-old pro career: change main skills to 63 and all other stats to 50 (sprinter has 64 sprint & 50s for all other stats)
22-year-old pro career: change main skills to 66 and all other stats to 55.
Trait limits should be set around 72 for skill and 65 for all other traits
Grand Champion: 75 trait limit
World Class: 72 trait limit
Excellent: 68 trait limit
--> as you said
There is a db (WCD) long in the works that gives the stats up to the 84 max. WCD needs help – but it might still be on its way. I’ve done some work on that one, but there’s more to do.
Here’s a WCD page. https://www.pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=46798&pid=1225253#post_1225253
PS: Lot of writing wrongs. I am from norway so i am not very good in english
On the stages -- I wish we could talk it through. If you have a specific edit you would like to see, send me an email or a private message. I'm always looking for ways to improve game-play. saivarkalpamtha@gmail.com You are welcome to make me struggle to read French instead of struggling yourself to write in English (since I'm the one getting the help).
For male riders, like my game is in April, do you recommand me the B method ?
For stages, we have not understood each other. Sorry, my mother tongue is French, in this language the functionnality "stages" is the "preparation stages" the thing that the riders do before races to have bonuses.
But in fact when playing with the default database there is the same number of preparation stages. In the old PCM versions there were more preparation stages because they were divided by land.
Sorry for the False issue.
Here's some ideas on your very-valid points:
1. Sort on the column "will retire" and remove the checks from the women riders. It's nice to keep Pitel and the other ageless greats in the game.
2. Add a photo code to your pro-cyclist's database entry. You can easily make a new photo with that code using paint.net . The photo should be 64x64 .tga file.
3. adjust your pro-cyclist's stats to be more in line with the women's peloton
The masks are part of the 2018 Women's database. Temporarily subscribe to that workshop DB to get the masks. They are not included here because of PCM's Steam space limits.
Once you subscribe to the 2018 db, you can find the women 3D masks on your CPU here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\704230\1425871933.
The masks are listed as folders named 'FakePro_01', 'FakePro_02', 'FakePro_03', 'FakePro_04', 'FakePro_05'.
Go to PCM's 3D content folder here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2018\3D\Cyclists\Professional
Save as a backup the default 'FakePro' mask folders for the men. Then copy in the women 3D mask folders.
A) Delete new male riders in January. Use a database editor to open your weekly saved file found at “C:\Users\__your name__\Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2018\WeeklySaves\ YourProfile”.
Sort the riders by size or weight (male riders have "0" in these fields). Then save the file with a new name.
Copy that file to the following folder: “C:\Users\__your name__\Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2018\Cloud\YourProfile” The updated game is ready to load.

B) Another way of removing the males is by reducing their stats to 50s. This works well for men on a team. After sorting for male riders (size <10), copy one 50 and paste it to all the stats. Those riders will soon retire or cut.
I have some remarks/questions :
1) The new young riders generated by the game have big stats compared to real riders and have male names.
2) There is too few preparation stages
3) Is it possible to put the women models of the 2018 mod in this mod ?
4) I have seen some errors in the riders. For example Pauline Ferrand-Prévot has not the good age (nor region). Wikipedia seems accurate on this.
