What?!? 18 Aug, 2021 @ 5:04pm
Is it me, or is there no way to fill a bottle with this ship... maybe i built it wrong lol
What?!? 17 Aug, 2021 @ 9:30pm
1st ever blueprint used for me, it was fun and this thing rocks in offline survival:steamthumbsup:, new to game... but i had everything already and its a beast, thanks allot for the upload, was the learning exp for sure haha.
Hezazon 11 May, 2021 @ 1:06pm
So in survival there's not a lot of uranium around to power the ship, I been playing the game for weeks and still have not found anything, but I was able to squeeze three batteries into the ships interior and that allowed me to power the ship without the working reactor.

Update 2020.06.06
All intended functions are re-checked without problem in realistic survival setting.
Laveka 14 Feb, 2020 @ 6:54am
Your Acorn, Rutile and Badhbh ship don't seem to work for me in survival mode, only in creative? I tested all their variants. The rest of your ships for perfectly fine. Can I do something about this myself?
Pilot YELDAH 25 Jul, 2019 @ 12:51pm
i'm an EXPERT GAMER.... or something
Pilot YELDAH 25 Jul, 2019 @ 12:50pm

Spyro The Gamer 25 Jul, 2019 @ 12:35pm
Also Yeldah holy crap; how did you make
it to Steam Level 36?!
Spyro The Gamer 25 Jul, 2019 @ 12:34pm
Oh well I guess I'll have to see for myself
how loud it is when I test it out later.....
Spyro The Gamer 25 Jul, 2019 @ 12:33pm
I was actually going to be a smart alek and
tell you you can't know that because you're
not an expert but then I realized that would
make me look stupid because I'm not an
expert either LOL
Pilot YELDAH 25 Jul, 2019 @ 12:23pm
mi presume it makes as much sound as any other would
Spyro The Gamer 25 Jul, 2019 @ 12:21pm
This is the stealthiest design for a fighter I've ever
seen. Is it really quiet, too? So you can sneak up
on someone?
Pilot YELDAH 25 Apr, 2019 @ 7:04am
that one's realy cute :P
AlloyCat  [author] 25 Apr, 2019 @ 7:01am
@Agent Goldeneye
Like YELDAH said, the large Atmospheric/Hydrogen thrusters are 3x3, but ions are 2x3,
so it would look a bit weird where the Big Thrusters are.
But technically there is definitely enough space for you to change them to ion by yourself without breaking the hull :)

If you like, try checking out my new Badhbh which is an all environment ship that only runs on ion and atmospheric.
It's not the same, but have a similar design approach so you might be interested :)
Pilot YELDAH 25 Apr, 2019 @ 1:16am
that'd be difficult to make look nice considering the dimensions
Agent Goldeneye 24 Apr, 2019 @ 9:43pm
@alloycat im not sure if my post posted but could you build this exact thing but using ion thrusters instead of hydrogen?
AlloyCat  [author] 14 Apr, 2019 @ 2:37am
That's correct, never push forward thrust after reaching peak speed.
The test result left me with 17% of Hydrogen tank after successfully leave the gravity well in all realistic settings.
The total 4k ice all burned out, but there are still space to load more ice.
Pilot YELDAH 14 Apr, 2019 @ 2:31am
(speaking of, i don't see why it couldn't be a little higher)
Pilot YELDAH 14 Apr, 2019 @ 2:31am
you do normaly want to stay at about 97/99 otherwise you're wasting full power against a 100-ish wall
AlloyCat  [author] 14 Apr, 2019 @ 1:29am
@AnomalyTea
Just tested with all settings set to realistic, with 2k ice in each ernerator and a full tank, it successfully leave the atmosphere and 2k isn't even full capacity for generators under realistic settings.
I wonder if you just blindly push the forward thrust all the way instead of saving the fuel.
Pilot YELDAH 27 Dec, 2018 @ 2:05pm
oof
AnomalyTea 27 Dec, 2018 @ 12:42pm
Can confirm previous concerns: does not have the ability to leave planet on normal settings. Requires an inventory multiplier.

Beautiful ship, as is normal with your builds, but unfortunately I have to grind it down after wasting time building it and failing to launch into space with it in my survival world.
fuqwit 31 Aug, 2018 @ 5:53am
savage, can't wait
BreezeRider 30 Aug, 2018 @ 1:21am
You mean 10x inventory size as default? alright then.
AlloyCat  [author] 30 Aug, 2018 @ 12:54am
You don't have to worry about that.
I tested it in default survival settings, it does work.
It's definitely enough to make its way to space and back on ground.
Try it yourself.
BreezeRider 30 Aug, 2018 @ 12:17am
I don't think that would work. H2 generator cannot hold much of ice. it just gives u a few more secs. and also once ship's power is depleted, there's no way to put uranium into the reactor. cuz conveyor doesn't work without power.
AlloyCat  [author] 29 Aug, 2018 @ 11:50pm
@BreezeRider

With only the Hydrogen Tank? Sounds about right.
You would need sufficient amount of ice in the H2 generators to run with hydrogen on the whole time.
BreezeRider 29 Aug, 2018 @ 11:16pm
Hydrogen lasts only for 100secs.
conno123 28 Aug, 2018 @ 2:15am
Will it be able to carry some Acorns and have a similar design apperance as both the Acorn and the Rutile? Like others on here really appreciate the time and effort you put into your projects. How awsome would it be to carry a small squadron of Acorns into battle on a mothership of similar appearance. Keep up the hard work as I'd never be able to build anything as pleasing to the eye as these creations.
AlloyCat  [author] 27 Aug, 2018 @ 1:26am
Thank you !

@Mantha
I am making a large ship and struggling right now :P
It's the largest I've ever built, but still somewhat "practical" and not a behemoth that will kill the server.
2theMAX the Stair Fax 26 Aug, 2018 @ 7:20pm
very sharp, i like
Mantha 26 Aug, 2018 @ 3:13pm
Your ships' artistic aesthetic is just too good. You could make a giant space-butt and make it look beautiful with your signature style. That said, I do challenge you as a fellow lover of designs to make the largest fully-functionable large-grid ship you can, with the full works (medbay, refinery, large reactors, etc) and still pull off your awesome aesthetic! :)
PassTheSalt 26 Aug, 2018 @ 9:29am
this ship looks really neat
AlloyCat  [author] 25 Aug, 2018 @ 6:35pm
Thanks!
I'm currently working on a large grid ship, but it's size is much larger and intended function is more complicated, so not sure how long it will take.
fuqwit 25 Aug, 2018 @ 12:50pm
@alloycat cant wait for more large grid vessels in this style mate
The Wonderful Amazing Trashboat 25 Aug, 2018 @ 10:44am
These are some beautiful ships. Even better, they are functional
WHS_Hitman 24 Aug, 2018 @ 7:04pm
@AlloyCat Thanks a ton man. Makes finding your ships way easier.
AlloyCat  [author] 24 Aug, 2018 @ 6:29pm
Thank you!

@/me
None!
Extevious 24 Aug, 2018 @ 1:32pm
At first I thought this was a large vessel, good work regardless! xD
Pilot YELDAH 24 Aug, 2018 @ 10:40am
how many batterys?
Fedora01 24 Aug, 2018 @ 2:55am
Reminds me of the Obelisk Carrier [d1u5p3l4wpay3k.cloudfront.net] from Star Trek Online.
AlloyCat  [author] 23 Aug, 2018 @ 6:15pm
@kajikimusha1

Hello! Thank you!
Like @Kriby said, it's the name of promissed land from Celtic Mythology :)

@Thomas the DANK Engine

They are roughly the same with only minor weight and piping difference.
The biggest difference might be that Standard Issue's Ammo cargo container is seperated from other conveyor system.
Only Special Force pilots are worthy of having more ammo :P
TheSilverInfinity 23 Aug, 2018 @ 5:41pm
look a the last picture
GronkaDonk 23 Aug, 2018 @ 5:26pm
Whats the difference between this and the Standard issue Variant?
Kriby 23 Aug, 2018 @ 3:44pm
@kajikimusha1
Tír na nÓg or Tír na hÓige ("Land of Youth") is one of the names for the Celtic Otherworld.

Tir na Nog appears all over fiction and popular culture, so there can be multiple sources for that name.
kajikimusha1 23 Aug, 2018 @ 11:30am
@Alloycat-Never heard of your faction (TNNSF) before today.Gonna check out your other submissions later.One question=Tir Na Nog?You and the rest of the group must've been fans of the live-action Mystic Knight's series from Fox's glory days.A shame that show ended with so many unanswered questions.
AlloyCat  [author] 21 Aug, 2018 @ 5:47pm
@WHS_hitman

Thank you!
Sure!
I'm current doing a slight overhaul of the T.N.N.S.F. too :)
WHS_Hitman 21 Aug, 2018 @ 1:44pm
Love the work. 1 complaint, anyway you could add a prefix to all your BP so they are easy to find in the BP list?
Double Tap 50Cal 21 Aug, 2018 @ 5:19am
yeh that sounds good. 3 axis is the most thrust you can get in any given direction. Exmaple Forwards , Sideways , and up thrust. holding 3 axis of thrust and flying around will tell your fuel range in the worst conditions. but if its capabale of going from a planets surface to space and back it should be way more then enough good job = ).
AlloyCat  [author] 21 Aug, 2018 @ 4:38am
@Nameless One

Thanks for the feedback!
I am using the most beautiful shots of the craft, but saying that is not "what is really is" isn't fair.
All beautiful things has it's not so beautiful sides, be it art or people :)

I'm not really sure what you mean fuel range 3 axis flight?
It has a tank and two H2 generator, I tested it with 40K ice and it's far more enough to fly out of gravity well and land back.
