That's a lot of rooms god damn! Room 3 was probably my fav due to the unique contraption, which naturally, lead to a very unique solution. Swapping cube #2 to the other button for sight-line advantage is super interesting! Room 4 took me the longest. Always happy to play a Mike map, this one was pretty good :P

i spent hours on this map

I passed first 3 but the 4th one gave me headache, nice design

Fun collection of puzzles ! I like the third one the most
Aneonen 6 Dec, 2021 @ 7:14pm
Nice sequence of puzzles. I found that solving this string of smaller/shorter chambers was actually quite calming - plenty of little bursts of satisfaction for discovering some clever idea.
Mikeastro  [author] 17 Nov, 2020 @ 1:30am
@grosan Thanks a lot for playing! Excellent work completing this map - some of the puzzles here are definitely tricky. And if you want more, you're in luck, for I have a whole workshop full of interesting and challenging puzzles you could consider checking out :D
grosan 16 Nov, 2020 @ 6:50pm
Very Good. I confess that I had difficulties to pass through the chambers. One of the best I've played to date.
Congratulations on your creativity and for surprising us by not making predictable challenges. I want more!

@bullfrog Thanks a lot once more! Your comments mean a lot
bullfrog 24 Sep, 2020 @ 11:54pm
Still a great set of puzzles: Rooms 1 and 2 I remembered quite quickly. In Room 3, it took me a while to realise/remember that I had all the time in the world to do what I needed for the final move. Room 4 probably took me almost as long as last time! Room 5 is easy enough and very simple if you’ve played ‘that map’.

@Spider_Dawg Thank you :] There's a couple of things I would like to change about this map, but I'm not sure whether or not I'll ever get around to doing that. The fourth room is indeed the trickiest. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Spider_Dawg 27 Oct, 2019 @ 10:12am
Very fun set of puzzles. I enjoy these small puzzles strung together, saves time on loading each one individually. Like most here, the fourth room was the one that took the longest. When a funnel is involved, I sometimes tend to forget about plain ole momentum . The "aha!" moment was realizing what the pedestal button and flip panel were for . Nice concepts all around.

@Libbybapa Glad to hear it :)

I enjoyed each of them.

@Teo Thank you :D Really happy to hear that you liked them :]
Teo 4 May, 2019 @ 11:51am
I loved that so much! The first and fourth chambers were my favorites, really clean design for all 5.
Master.AKA 21 Mar, 2019 @ 12:25pm
Haha : )) I'm taking an algebraic topology course in this semester!!! :lunar2019grinningpig:
Mikeastro  [author] 21 Mar, 2019 @ 12:07pm
@amir.khodayan1377 Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it. But sadly, it doesn't really have anything to do with homotopy :P I was just taking a course on algebraic topology when I made this map and math terminology simply makes for great map titles lol
Master.AKA 21 Mar, 2019 @ 11:17am
What A great map! I liked it. But what has it to do with Homotopy? : )
Mikeastro  [author] 25 Nov, 2018 @ 10:06pm
@quatrus Thank you, I'm glad you liked them! The fourth room is indeed a bit tricky
quatrus 25 Nov, 2018 @ 4:47pm
Very challenging puzzles. Needed a bit of help from Nock vid on the next to last chamber. Last chamber was so simple yet took me a while to see that the obvious cube placement wasn't going to work. Well done. Thanks for creating.
Mikeastro  [author] 10 Sep, 2018 @ 2:26pm
@Nock Thanks! I'm glad you liked it :)
@DeathWish808 Impressively quick! Thanks for pointing out that tiny angle at 6:40 - I will fix that! And yeah, five is a lot of puzzles for one map, but they aren't very hard so I thought I could get away with it :P The last one is indeed quite easy, for I wouldn't want the players that required more time to solve the other ones to feel discouraged if the last one is suddenly the toughest
DeathWish808 10 Sep, 2018 @ 12:23pm
Longer than I was expecting, but fun. The last one was a bit too simple in comparison so it was kind of like dessert after the main meal. :-P
Thumb up and faved.

There were some really nice puzzles in these rooms. Great job as always!

@asears16 For some reason steam did not notify me of your comment :| Very nice video! Thank you very much :)
asears16 7 Sep, 2018 @ 4:37pm
Great map; I thought each puzzle was quite cleverly designed. The second and fourth puzzles were my favorites out of the bunch. My blind run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YW7L4rj_u6A

Also, I'm glad you got your Steam issues sorted out!
Mikeastro  [author] 23 Aug, 2018 @ 3:41am
@bullfrog You are correct - I prevented Joric's solution by adding the fizzler near the funnel adding the tiny extra step of using the floor panels to get the cube
bullfrog 23 Aug, 2018 @ 1:34am
...looking at joric’s walkthroughs; my play-through was the same as theirs, except I did the first part of the second puzzle by a slightly different method: but it’s just an alternative and doesn’t break the break the puzzle?
Mikeastro  [author] 22 Aug, 2018 @ 12:38pm
@bullfrog Thank you very much! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it :D
bullfrog 22 Aug, 2018 @ 12:27pm
Most excellent set of puzzles. Yep, if I hadn’t have played Demon Arisen Spectrum the last one might have taken me longer. Not looked at walkthrough yet, but pretty sure no exploits; gotta sleep now, so I’ll check in the morning. Thumbs up and added to favourites :)
Mikeastro  [author] 22 Aug, 2018 @ 11:36am
@leomievs Yeah, they're both maths concepts (like the names of a few of my other maps in fact!), which I only know because I happen to study mathematics in university right now. I just think that sometimes mathematicians give pretty cool names to things :P Also, very cool to hear you're more of a language person; I've heard of more people in the portal community that know a lot about that!
Leo 22 Aug, 2018 @ 11:09am
Yeah for the names I was only talking about the tone of it. I do like maths but to be honest I have limited knowledge in that field (I needed my dear friend Google to know that Holonomy and Homotopy were maths concepts). I'm more on the literary/languages side. By the way, I'm happy you could sort out your problem with Steam, we -- I'm pretty sure I can speak in the name of a few people -- love playing your maps too :)
Mikeastro  [author] 22 Aug, 2018 @ 10:39am
@leomievs Thank you very much! I'm happy to hear that you liked it, and indeed part of the trick to the last room also appears in the map you mentioned :) Just watched your full blind run - it was very fun to watch you solve all the puzzles, and quite quickly at that!
Also, you are correct about the trapping situation, sorry! Thanks for pointing it out though - curse you last moment changes! I'll soon add a tiny escape route from the bottom of the pit to prevent that.
And about the name: I was aware it was kinda similar to Holonomy, and it too has a funnel as its main element. Though in reality, Holonomy and Homotopy are two very different concepts!
Leo 22 Aug, 2018 @ 7:48am
Very nice map! All 5 rooms were clever and fun to solve. I think my favourite was room 3, I really liked the setup and the trick to solve it. Room 5 reminded of Demon Arisen's Spectrum ;) And I might have found a trapping situation in room 4, but I'm not sure, maybe I just overlooked something. Actually, you'll be able to check because... I recorded my blindrun xD also, is the name deliberately similar to your other map, Holonomy? At first I thought it was a remake or something!
Mikeastro  [author] 22 Aug, 2018 @ 2:53am
@jandlml Thanks! After a bit of changing them I indeed think the ratings are okay now :)
@Atom Thank you! Glad to hear you liked the puzzles as well as the music :D
Psychological Atom 21 Aug, 2018 @ 9:44pm
Very enjoyable set of chambers. I really like the music, feels like a lullaby to me. Thumbs up!
jandlml 21 Aug, 2018 @ 7:06pm
what a really nice set of chambers. i kind of think your difficulty ratings were spot on. very enjoyable
Mikeastro  [author] 21 Aug, 2018 @ 4:27pm
@jgautney Thank you! I would also have to agree with your difficulty ranking - since I just kept adding onto the chamber, the order of the rooms in which they appear in the map is chronological, not at all sorted on difficulty as is usually the case. I'm glad to hear that your solutions were the same as @Joric's :)
jgaultney 21 Aug, 2018 @ 4:06pm
A very enjoyable set of puzzles! I would have to agree with the relative difficulty being
5,2,1,3,4 from easiest to hardest. While I rated Room #4 as the hardest/best, I think I spent
more time in Room #3 because it took quite awhile for the light to dawn on how to do what
was needed. :) My solutions were the same as @Joric's. A definite thumbs up!
Mikeastro  [author] 21 Aug, 2018 @ 1:58pm
@Jade BGE Thank you very much! I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed it :D
Jade BGE 21 Aug, 2018 @ 1:47pm
Fantastic group of tests! Challenging and fun. A sure favorite! Thanks a bunch! A jewel amongst too much manutiae.
Mikeastro  [author] 21 Aug, 2018 @ 12:19pm
@Joric Glad to see you solved it in the end! I hope you liked the map overall :)
Joric 21 Aug, 2018 @ 11:42am
Room 4: https://youtu.be/EnSnXewfBJs that was intense! And the longest. Probably 5/10, yeah.
Joric 21 Aug, 2018 @ 11:31am
@Mikeastro, yeah, I got it.
Mikeastro  [author] 21 Aug, 2018 @ 11:26am
@Joric Don't forget about momentum - hope this helps just enough
Joric 21 Aug, 2018 @ 11:19am
@Mikeastro regarding room 4 - I still can't figure out how to get up there to the button that enables the laser and preserve the portal for the laser =(
Mikeastro  [author] 21 Aug, 2018 @ 11:16am
@Joric Thank you for the videos so far! All three of your solutions were intended (though I did change up a tiny detail in the second room). Also I updated some of the difficulty ratings according to your remarks. Indeed the last room is just a tiny idea.

I find it hard to believe you are really stuck at the fourth room, though, for you have mastered far greater challenges in the past! Perhaps you are just overlooking something - I have to admit that visibility in that room isn't perfect, but I had some struggles with the already huge dimensions of the full map that prevented me from making the room any larger, so I hope you'll forgive me for that :|
Joric 21 Aug, 2018 @ 11:15am
Room 5 is like a proof of concept: https://youtu.be/gYLrl6R1CqQ but what the hell is with room 4?
