And yeah IK, not a criticism, just adding the note so people don't end up with redundancy (and possibly incompatibility?).

There was a mistake on one of the xml (it showerd a red error) but it was just an extra tag that existis in 1.0 and was removed in 1.1... Harmless.
Other than that, i have no idea of what could have happen, maybe some odd interation with other mod on your list, mod order dunno...
The confluict must be somewere else... What lead to conclusion it was this mod fault? did you get any error that i can look at?
It allowed me to save until so many days into the game, then my auto and manual saves break so those save files are screwed; I not only had to unsub from this but had to delete all saves because it would still screw with my files.
Today i prefer the "leather" option over my ow mod... (i made a mod to vanilla insects to drop the other one (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1759237950) and this here is too simple...
Mods are free, made to people have fun. Grab and do whatever you like ;)
Should I create my own chitin def/texture? or Patch to yours? If I patch to yours can I do it in a way that doesn't create a dependency? I/e it uses some vanilla source but switches to yours if/when your mod is added.
The reason I ask is because I already have 2 sources of chitin in my game and I don't think it's necessary to add a third.

And i notice that "plate armor" can be made of anything... this includes Chitin
