The Vodyani are still doomed. I cannot produce enough food to even maintain 1 pop on my starting system

Excellent again, I hadn't even had a chance to test the first hotfix. Vodyani are pretty cool to play and I really like having this mod to use, so I appreciate the effort. :lunar2019grinningpig:

The "Cathedral" only solves the problem with the first ark, the Vodyani themselves had to be adjusted because their food consumption was just crazy in the endless game speed level. Now (hopefully) the production and consumption of food are more or less balanced. Have fun!

@Jaggid Edje: Thank you for the report! I paid little attention to the Vodyani, so i overlooked these starving vampires. ;) As a hot fix i adapted the "Cathedral of All Worldly Affairs". Please report, if this is not enough ...

Using this mod seems to break the Vodyani faction. They always ended up doing absolutely nothing as AI opponents in the first few games I played with the mod.
In my most recent game I opted to play as them, and I could see why...the game multiplier makes their initial Ark food costs so high that they have over -100 food at the start, lose all population, and basically never recover, even after 600+ turns if the AI in my previous games is an indicator.

would you consider doing a version of this where tech researches at a standard time scale of just long or even short or so? it just so long to gget anythin done I know thats half the aim hence the mod name but there is often like 10 turns doing literally nothing without the techs lol

Yes, the Riftborn are very special. They start with the star system improvement "Fabricated Forces", which transforms industrial production into military manpower, regardless of how large the population is. The larger the industrial output, the larger Riftys hordes ;-) ... Have fun!

Sounds like that should solve it, I think the main issue was that their pop could be built and then converted into manpower when everyone else had to home grow it, but it could have been just a really good start for them.

@Lollipopsunder: The Riftborn overrun half the galaxy in your game? Sounds like they had a good starting position. In my sessions, the Riftborn were not the faction that dominated everyone else. I currently use the mods GEC, SlomoX2 and ELP24 and here is currently Horatio the opponent. In the previous game it was the Cravers (3 empires) who were very strong and challenging. Well, I modified the mod to reduce Riftborns army. The conversion of industrial production into manpower is reduced by half. Try it, if this is ok ...

Hey, found another bug, the pirates are fine now, but the rift born seriously overrun everyone else in the game. They have like 3 times the systems as everyone else, major populations on pretty much every planet, and basically unlimited manpower compared to everyone else.

@Lollipopsunder: The pirates now needs twice as much time to generate new fleets. Also they are a little bit weaker. Please let me know if that is not enough ...

I like the length this gives to the game and the gravity growing your populations have, but it has one major problem. Pirates. The pirates do not follow the slowness of the other empires, I was playing with them on hard difficulty and they were beyond hard, they were winning the game against every civ. The pirates need to be slowed down with this mod.
