if anyone is wondering... i use this to place sensor towers every 2 sectors. sadly, it isnt symetrical and the middle one ends up separated by one in one side and two in the other. basically this is the most effective way of doing it.
i could do it every other sector, but thats just too much.

Anything updated Sep 7 was only version bumped, if you do have an issue check those first. I'll see about a debug mod option in my lib mod to see dates (if I can find something to use...).

This mod currently seems to cause the game to be unable to return to the overview map mode. Press M, camera doesn't move. Scroll out, camera hits a limit but won't zoom out to overview.

Took quite a bit of hunting to find mod causing this bug among the 150 mods in your QoL modlist. : /

what would be good is a map that is perfectly flat with no large or small rocks.
ChoGGi  [author] 15 Jun, 2019 @ 2:34pm
They disappeared for me as soon as I canceled build mode.
ChoGGi  [author] 15 Jun, 2019 @ 1:57pm
Mind uploading the save somewhere?
Kynsho 15 Jun, 2019 @ 1:56pm
Just a note to say I still have stuck green grid squares after selecting and testing tunnel placement, even after disabling the mod. But this is with a savefile created before your update, so maybe that's it?
Black Raven 15 Jun, 2019 @ 1:10am
Great news and good work with fix :-)
ChoGGi  [author] 14 Jun, 2019 @ 7:56pm
yeah, looks like I wasn't careful about it cleaning up, so it left orphans around which I didn't check form. Now I do both.
Seventy9 14 Jun, 2019 @ 7:46pm
Can confirm this is now fixed, thank you very much. Even my save was fixed by trying to build something and cancelling, the green squares were removed! :)

v0.7
Fixed stuck green squares (thanks Seventy9).
Seventy9 14 Jun, 2019 @ 7:20pm
Love the mod, thank you. However, I've noticed that when building a tunnel the grid stays on permanently for all explored sectors and cannot be removed, even if the mod is disabled.
Black Raven 14 Jun, 2019 @ 1:45pm
I was hasty to start over sorry (was early game thankfully), great work if you did manage to fix it though :-)
ChoGGi  [author] 14 Jun, 2019 @ 1:06pm
v0.6
Hopefully fixed stuck green squares.

Got a save I could look at?
Black Raven 14 Jun, 2019 @ 12:40pm
Seems to be bug where overlay can get stuck, even uninstalling the mod the overlay remains active, so now my map stuck with grids and green zones :-( ... I have played quite while without issue till now, but kinda game breaking now it has happened sadly.
Tizferatu 23 May, 2019 @ 5:18pm
Yeah, that one works fine.
ChoGGi  [author] 23 May, 2019 @ 5:16pm
Nope, no hotkeys just the mod option toggle. Does that dust grid one you have work?
Tizferatu 23 May, 2019 @ 5:09pm
Heh, looks like they've added a lot of stuff with more recent updates. A lot of the info I can find is all outdated (especially around buildings transferring power, guess that used to require cables but doesn't anymore).

An error would have been nice, for sure. I didn't see one either which is why I asked if maybe there's some hotkey I might have fat-fingered that might have caused them to stop showing up >.<
ChoGGi  [author] 23 May, 2019 @ 5:04pm
Oh they just added them last update.

No idea why it isn't showing up, I was hoping for an error msg in your log :)
Tizferatu 23 May, 2019 @ 5:01pm
Oh, didn't know there was an existing mod options tucked away (sort of makes the mod config thing redundant I would think, but Automated Tourists recommended it so I got it).

I checked in esc/options/mod options and it is indeed enabled.

It does work on new games and a different save (that doesn't have all the sectors revealed). It did work on my current save up until around the time I scanned all the sectors (I don't know for sure if that was what killed it, but I know it worked prior to me doing that as I was using it to lay down scanners).
ChoGGi  [author] 23 May, 2019 @ 4:54pm
I don't use mod config, when I say mod options I mean esc>options>mod options. It's enabled by default, so it shouldn't be turned off?

Looking at the log, I don't see any mods that would interfere.
Tizferatu 23 May, 2019 @ 4:39pm
Think this is the logfile (MarsSteam.exe.bunchOfAlphaNumerics.log): https://pastebin.com/eeJ1B75u

Is there maybe a keyboard shortcut I may have hit that disabled them? I do have the mod config mod, but didn't see anything relating to this mod in the options there (only has automated tourist options in it).
ChoGGi  [author] 23 May, 2019 @ 3:55pm
Not intended and doesn't happen for me, mind posting a log file?
Tizferatu 23 May, 2019 @ 3:23pm
I'm not sure if the mod broke or if this is intended behavior, but it looks like it stops working once all sectors are scanned.
ChoGGi  [author] 24 Mar, 2019 @ 12:42pm
No worries, but do you mind asking for mods on my mod collection instead of a specific mod?
I'd prefer to keep this discussion about this mod. or discord https://discord.gg/7rX25ZE
ChoGGi  [author] 23 Mar, 2019 @ 2:48pm
could you make that mod?
I stuck it on my list and forgot about :)

but just the effect, not the tech itself...
Why not the tech?
ChoGGi  [author] 8 Jan, 2019 @ 4:41pm
Shouldn't be too hard to do...
wabbithunta 22 Nov, 2018 @ 12:07pm
There's onscreen text, when you're about to place an object, and it tells you it's an unscanned sector.
batai341 28 Aug, 2018 @ 10:59am
Ah! Makes perfect sense! I have experienced this as I regularly will start a map in an unscanned area. Many thanks for your response ProfessorHen
ProfessorHen 27 Aug, 2018 @ 4:49pm
You can faster see which area is already scanned. There is a risk to block metal deposits if you build on an unscanned area.
batai341 27 Aug, 2018 @ 4:38pm
I don't understand what the advantage of using this is. Can someone please educate me? Many thanks.
