the mod just stopped working, its impossible to select what sound will play like there is no bar thingy that shows what sound is going to play

Are there still plans to update the soundblock in the future? It's is a very interesting mod to the game and a unique one too! Would be nice if it could be kept up to date, or at least to get it working with the logic addon :)

whew this is not updated at all!!!

conflicts hard with fiat combined, the structural reinforcer is a soundblock and the actual soundblock is 0.5x size and cant be placed

I use the soundblock with custom sounds which work. But when I emulate a button using logic, the soundblock won't respond. It only seems to work when I press the button myself. Could this be a bug? (I also tested with the inbuild sounds which also gave no result).

The number is the folder of Besiege. Try clicking in the folders (in Resources) and find the one for Besiege. You will know it's the one when you see other mods besides it. That number likely changed with updates. Sorry I haven't updated my mods (lack of time), so they could be broken....

hey wizz6rd i want to add a custom sound so i went to the filepath you said "...\SteamApps\workshop\content\346010\1493925387\SoundBlocks\Resources" but when i got to content there was no "346010" at all... . and yes i restarted the game and tried launching it once and it loaded fine there. but i dont see that in my files.. perhaps your path is wrong?

I am not able to replicate your bug, can you list a series of steps required to obtain this bug? Does it happen when you load the machine in Multiverse ? Can you open the command window with the ~ or ` key and tell me what does it show ? If you have Discord you can join the Besiege server and it can help troubleshoot faster

This is stuff saved within the last day. I find I can get around it by loading the machine, loading a different machine with no sound blocks, starting the sim, then loading the original machine, and starting the sim again. Sometimes changing levels also works. I dunno. Still great mod though, I'd hoped for this since the modloader days!

when did you save the machine? was the last time you saved months ago?
This could happen when you save the machine, I update the mod, and you try to load it again. However, I haven't made an update to this mod since Jan 13...

I made a machine with two sound blocks set up differently (but using stock sounds from the mod), and if I exit Besiege and come back in and load the machine, one block works perfectly, and the other block doesn't work at all, and if I go into the block's properties, the window is empty except for the buttons I assigned to it. Any suggestions?

That means the mod isn't loading properly and is falling back onto the placeholder blocks. Try unsub/resubscribe to the mod, and re-follow the procdeute to add sounds. Other people have done it with success, I am not sure what you may be experiencing....

It didn't show as a placeable block and the ones i had placed turned into weighted blocks

I can't make the process easier unfortunately. That is due to how mods work in Besiege.
Did you get an error (red color) message in the console? Open it with the key having the two symbols " ` " and " ~ ".
What do you mean by "it said I had no sound block mod at all" ? Did the mod not show up in the mod list in the Besiege menu?

I tried adding a custom sound (Transformers g1 transformation noise) using the instructions above. After that, i closed then open besiege and it said i had no sound block mod at all. Have I done something wrong? PS: I am not a hardcore modder and like things to be easy so refining the process to make it easier to add custom sounds would help. Thanks!

@Kalmoire Updated the mod to include your suggestion, tell me if there are any issues with it, I updated the description but just looking at the .xml file should be enough to figure out how to add more Special Modes

What I meant is: Can you add custom Special Modes , so you can have both the ones that came with the mod and a new one, without having to replace either the Car or Plane sound files with your custom ones?

By "custom" you mean sounds you can add yourself? then it is already available, have a look at the description, I give enough detail (I think) for you to add the sounds.
However this has a few drawbacks that I can't really solve:
_ You will have to look around in the Besiege folder and edit .xml files (these are just like text files).
_ The custom sounds you add cannot be played for other to hear in Multiverse.

anyone using this block the oof becomes a low E note at 0.70 then go up the scale by adding 0.05 and so on

alright, thanks, thing is i just spent $400 on this new pc(it was $200 off so i considered it quite a good deal) and it was a great deal but im going to get a graphics card sometime soon, its an amd processor so it can utilize virtualization. also i didnt know that it was unity so thats good to know for future reference.

Optimization: no. My code simply uses Unity's audio playback mechanism, if it isn't good enough for your computer, then I can't help it.
Will I add a full version? Maybe. I do not want to because it makes the mod larger in terms of file size. Also, the mod is aimed at playing some sound effects and not so much long songs. But nothing stops you from doing that.

is there a time limit for the sounds, initial-d gets kinda ruined when it just completely stops, if possible, add full versions please, also chrome doesnt like when i try to play music in the background when i am playing the game so its also a bit of a request for optimization(idfk what im talking about, its better for full song because i dont have to make my game go to 4 fps just because chrome is running.)

@Crunchee4K I will not upload a "fix" for the time being for the simple reason that it will erase everyone's custom sounds that they set in the folder. I consider this to be a significant problem as compared to green blood. I guess I dug my own grave by putting that easter egg :(
