But seriously. I just can't use this instead of the others.
In the meantime, i edited out the code hooks in the xml to at leat have compatibility and the small pods.
please don't do that on purpose.

Alas, my choices! Forward the 20kg drop pod unto friend and foe and open field alike!
and I do think faction bases would accept drop pod gifts. Probably should test that!
but i thought the reason for drop pods in general, was to transport animals/ people with or without some extra items, to save on travelling time?
ive seen some people on youtube sending boomrats across their existing current colony when raiders appear (to launch them a bit nearer the raiders for fun :)
your mod with lighter pods requiring less fuel, sounds cool :) and ive actually installed a couple of extra / longer range drop pod mods for future... but, why would we only need to send items of not much weight somewhere, without people or animals too?
(as far as i know, when a faction asks for a batch of items to be delivered, we need to visit them in person and then deliver the items)?
can't have everythin' right?
For real though, this mod sure is convenient to have! Customizable yet balanced. It makes having multiple bases/caravans easier to work with, even if they are spread out. My rampant deforestation for chemfuel on the other hand, oh boy. Gotta fuel Chemfuel launching chemfuel!
Transport up to 20kg for less cost than a nearly empty 150kg pod
Thanks.
An empty pod takes 50% the fuel (variable in settings) as a full pod.
Simply adding more contents increases the fuel requirements,
and then a full 150kg pod behaves the same as vanilla, at 100% fuel.
So the range that an empty pod can go on 25 chemfuel is twice that of a full pod.
But when you have 150 fuel, another setting lets you extend the absolute max range of that pod:
150 fuel at 150kg lets you go 66 tiles,
150 fuel at 50% would let you go 132 tiles, or keep the limit at 66 tiles, using less fuel to do so.
