How the hell do I "employ" the NPCs to run the stores? My stores and the Inn are all closed and I can't find the supposed NPCs anywhere.

1 of the best "texture" mods thats lore friendly and works nicely in the landscape. i say "texture" as it adds depth to the game as well as a great player home. in short this is an essential mod that adds flesh to skyrims bones and without it the game feels empty. a solid 10 out of 10
visual.noise 11 Jun, 2017 @ 2:23pm
crash to desktop when using this mod. looking through the comments, it sounds like its a hearthfire conflict.
Freyanka 26 Nov, 2016 @ 12:35am
Great mod but why are all the NPCs so grouchy? Some of these guys have great loot in their homes that I'd love to borrow if only they'd make me their friend... I would love more lore too or at least some answers. I'd hate to be the Companion's harbinger and then suddenly find out they're all those Silver hand guys. Is Erik marryable? oh, and is there a way into the Dwemer ruin near the corner of Falkreath highway and Lakeview boulevard (my names only)? I've climbed all over the sucker with no luck! boo! Keep up the good work, two thumbs way up!!

Wintergreen is actually based on a D&D character that a friend played when we were kids. He carried a ballista around on his back - which was admittedly ridiculous. ;)
jade harley!! 30 Jul, 2016 @ 5:42am
i feel like wintergreen is a dwemer.................becuase who else can carry a dwemer bastila without breaking it.......if the rumor is true

The guards dont need to be hired. They are already patrolling the area. Also, their outfits cannot be altered in game.
elliottchristman99 3 May, 2016 @ 12:20pm
@exodus1916 could you change your guards outfits and weapons at your fort? And how many guards are there?
CaptainSkavanos 1 May, 2016 @ 1:58pm
Hey is it possible for you to release a version of this mod without the extra lodge it clips with one of the mods I have instaled.
elliottchristman99 26 Apr, 2016 @ 11:55am
@exodus1916 do you hire your own guards?
elliottchristman99 25 Apr, 2016 @ 6:34am
Wait, so you hire the guards? Or how does the guard thing work. I would love a fort that I can control.
Exo1916  [author] 11 Feb, 2016 @ 4:48pm
Thanks, Molag Bal. I'm glad you like it!
Tiber Septim 8 Feb, 2016 @ 4:47pm
I love how you added a few lines about the Lore of This Place. Amazing!!!

if you have the slow time ring mod that addes in a ring that makes time go 100x slower almost every chest in the complex will have a copy of the time ring in it... they sell for so much you can basicly use them to buy a bunch of stuff from a vender then imidietly get all your money back...

I have a question. What if location don't shows up?. I can't found them and it seems mod on't even start.
Paxtoranius 23 Aug, 2015 @ 9:47pm
It's a good mod, no doubt about that. Only thing I noticed was the trading with the arms merchant and his neglect in paying me for something I sold him, which was quite expensive. Could be because his gold limit is too high perhaps as there is a limit in the game file I believe. Good when the werewolves are a nuisance in the area too although the local vampire couple seem friendly enough (Dawnguard part).
isiarca 10 Aug, 2015 @ 5:01pm
@danielgannon65 Sokco's Guild Starter mod is exactly what you're wishing for, except that you can't use it to wipe other guilds out. You could just use console commands to render all vanilla guilds' members killable, and slaughter them, though. There's even a quest called Destroy the Dark Brotherhood, wherein you do as the title suggests.
Exo1916  [author] 10 Aug, 2015 @ 6:42am
I'd like to amend my previous comment to say that I may release an updated version of this mod as a separate file rather than overwrite this existing one. :)
Exo1916  [author] 10 Aug, 2015 @ 6:39am
Thank you all for the kind comments. Note that this is no longer an Imperial outpost. Guards do NOT work for the Imperials, they work for you. ;)
Sad news: My hard drive crashed and I lost the original files. I could download the file, modify, and repost. However, I am unsure what effect that would have on existing save games. I don't want anyone to lose gear or have corrupted files. So, going forward, this mod will not have updates. Thankfully, everyone seems pleased with the current version. Thank you for your support!
St0ucheO81420 8 Aug, 2015 @ 2:48pm
is this mkod stormcloak friendly
Im curious because you said it was an imperial fort and that the guards might be wearing imperial armor

Only saying cos I HATE imperials
Blue Damselfly 29 Jun, 2015 @ 3:51am
Wow! I really love this MOD and it is always loaded when I play Skyrim. Thank you ever so very much for sharing all your hard work and talents!
rockyman723 18 Jun, 2015 @ 2:31pm
i love it
Nirn2014 1 Jun, 2015 @ 3:28pm
Great mod and I can only imagine the work that went into it, For my taste the house itself felt cold and very little room for followers, but the work stations and the surrounding community are brilliant. Thank u for modding for those of us that cant.
GhostSong 23 May, 2015 @ 1:22am
I love this mod too. I was blown away with the town and the court-yard. And then I found the bat-cave/basement button to reveal more awesome-ness. I am no expert on such matters, as to build something like this, but the only thing I would add is an outside stair case leading from the upper armory, down-along the wall, to the crafting stations. also to continue the walk way around the stone perimeter and pass-through from the upper armory door, on the water's edge. Again great mod. My new favorite.
Kimbra 4 May, 2015 @ 2:05pm
LOVE this mod. Use it all the time! Sorry it took me so long to say so.
Bigwhitehound 3 May, 2015 @ 1:34pm
I'm going to use this as a late game home. With the idea it was a reward for my help in the civil war, up to that point.
danielgannon65 17 Mar, 2015 @ 3:09am
wish someone would make a mod where u could make a guild from scatch and send guild members on quests and at the end have ur guild wipe out the other guild one by one
Stoned Savior 2 Oct, 2014 @ 5:43pm
Dire wolves, like normal wolves but dire.
ke4ixn 29 Sep, 2014 @ 9:49am
its great, I love it...I only wish I could move my spouse and all 6 kids into it....there is lots of room...but its not compatiable....sigh
Thrixxon 22 Sep, 2014 @ 12:08am
Awesome!! I love the house/castle, the town and in general the spot where you placed it all. I use it as my summer house when my Dragonborn need to relax a little. He can go to the lake and do some fishing, hunt in the nearby woods or simply hang out in the local inn and drink some mead... CHEERS :)
IxAMxHARBINGER 2 Sep, 2014 @ 12:36am
awesome mod love the small castle town vibe it has the only thing that i would add is two kids beds in the main home so i can move the family in with me
Tiber Septim 30 Aug, 2014 @ 8:52pm
HOCUS-POTIONS...I really like the name. Originally Unique : - ()
Tiber Septim 30 Aug, 2014 @ 8:48pm
Hey Bro, this place is BAD-ASS! At first glance it just looked like another OVER SIZED player home/hideout. That IS NOT the case here. Awesome ain't the word I'd use to describe it. It's too to list. If anyone is considering a new player home/hideout, don't pick this. Because it's not a home/hideout, THIS IS PLAYERS BASE OF OPERATIONS! Now if you wanting something along those lines, then don't pass this one up!!! You ain't gonna regret it.
Fuzzinutt 1 Aug, 2014 @ 11:16pm
Same here DarkCover! Love your mod, but crashes at Half-Moon Mill every time. Need Hearthfire compatibility pleeeaaase!!! ")
Mortalitasi 17 Jul, 2014 @ 1:46am
Oh, and one more thing, Hearthfire compatibility would be a real big thing. I don't generally build Lakeview Manor anymore as it is BORING (X10000000), but it would be nice to know that I can build it and not crash my game.
Thanks again for this mod and good luck with future endevors, be they with this mod or something new. I'll be following you! (OK, that didn't sound right, LOL! Very stalker-esque! Sorry this is all scrambled up. Too much to say... too much love for this mod! Start at tge bottom and work your way up~
Mortalitasi 17 Jul, 2014 @ 1:41am
2) I think you are missing a huge potential in the basement of the main keep. There is a cell (as in prison cell) down there with 2 burned corpses and a door behind a bunch of collapsed rock. The first time I saw it, I started looking for a was to clear tge debris to find out what is behind that door (and how did those 2 crispy creme's get that way, and who are they). Also, I think there is a lot of wasted space in the basement. I love the library, but i see more single beds for followers rather then another enchanting table or whatever it is thats down there. The basement should be fun and mysterious, but I found this one to be a little boring.
Mortalitasi 17 Jul, 2014 @ 1:41am
I LOVE THIS MOD!!!! Iy has a few tiny bugs to work out, but overall, this is what the Dragonborns home should be! Just a couple of things...1) I think your cast of characters is awesome and they all have great backstories, but I wish they were a little more interactive, if you know what I mean. I realize that it would be a tremendous amount of work, but it's something to think about.
Fuzzinutt 14 Jul, 2014 @ 5:30pm
Firstly, thanks sooo much!!.....I LOOOOVee your mod, it feels so natural and the way the small villages would have felt!.....But, having problems because I have a Heathfire House close by, and keeps crashing when I go near it. Pleeeease!!!!! could you make it compatable with Hearthfire.... ")
olderthanyou85 7 Jun, 2014 @ 5:17am
Nice work, one of the mods I use all the tme. I have had a minor problem by the lake, and dock. Part of the dock is missing, and the lake is over the top of the fishing camp. I wish it was family compatible with Hearthfire. Are you going to add a mine to the basement? I saw the entrance.Thumbs up and good job.
Exo1916  [author] 25 May, 2014 @ 6:47am
That's a new one, Shin. Never heard that before and I can't recreate the problem. There might be a conflict with another mod you have.
BlueDream 7 May, 2014 @ 10:45am
To the right of the Armory theres a gate, but I can't get to it because the road disappears and falls into the lake below. I can swim back up to where I fell off though. Does anyone else have this issue or is it just my graphics card or something?
Littlejon_LJ 8 Apr, 2014 @ 5:02pm
By far, one of my all-time favorite mods.
(!!!SPOILER!!!)
If you pickpocket the guards arrows durring their naps, you can level pickpocketing from 1 to 100 in 1 succesful pick. This makes you instantly rich because steel arrows sell at 1g ea, and each guard carries 16000, 4000 of which are marked as stolen (theres like 8+ guards between all the shifts). Also, Your character levels almost 12 whole levels because of this, making the game instantly harder.
For me, it did not break the game, more like accelerated it. I was able to get skill training for things I actually needed (restoration*cough) and freaking soul gems.
Also, Wintergreen will not pay you for those arrows, you have to sell them to someone else.
Willoloh!!! 23 Mar, 2014 @ 1:54am
So far what a great mod. the only problem i have with it is that i wish rooms and corridors were a little larger. It feels too small sometimes. oh yes and add a bit of a population in there. not only guards.

Also it would be wonderful it there was a quest in which the fort is attacked from many sides and you have to defend it from many angles. (specially attacked by vampires) Oh yes and if I could dictate the guard's equipment would be just perfect for roleplaying
copley28 9 Mar, 2014 @ 4:10am
i like the mod, but i believe that some improvements can be made, (they are not critical)

Wintergreen is not acting like a merchant, his gold amount does not change....
there are several places near buildings where a player can become trapped by physical barriers

i like your created weapons, good to see in a mod...

suggestions.... fill your pond / fountain with fish.... (ingredient types)

choose what type of getup for your guards.... you have alot of imperial themes and backstory...
so go with a imperial heavy armor and modify it.... increase its defense by making it out of quicksilver and steel... with a colored throw cape over the shoulder with a symbol.... (either of wolfcreek or legion seal...)
dantam9000 28 Feb, 2014 @ 10:14am
This is a great mod as I've had it for over a year.

Can you move in your family?
SilverUnya 27 Nov, 2013 @ 2:48pm
I will put this on my list of house mods to check out. The pics look great and it's thoroughly appreciated that you too the time to give this place and it's people a story. Looks pretty awesome.
Guibar 14 Nov, 2013 @ 5:51pm
I suggest that you make it so all the companions that you get around the game after you find and "conquer them" to be living in the house with you! :O
