On the off chance anybody has an answer to this, I unsubbed from all of my 40k mods recently and it seems that all of the 40k weapons are still in the game and are totally usable. I tried tracking down and deleting every XCOM related file on my computer to get rid of them but no luck. Not breaking the game or anything but it's annoying. Anybody have any fixes for this?

I was wondering if there was a chance you were still working on such mods?
I had a simple idea of how a grav-gun would work. Just normal rifles/pistols/cannons that ignore armour and gain bonus damage based on armour.
No idea how many of your team are still working on things but I'd thought I'd at least throw the idea out there.

Dude, if you added a Lascannon and/or Plasma Cannon, that would be awesome! You could have them work like the Boltcaster where you have to reload every time you fire, but have it be them venting the heat out instead of a normal reload. Just a thought.

given that the the mod and its pistol counterpart dissapeared and became unusable for a while i've gotta ask, was it pulled so you could replace the plasma animations from base game with the animations found with the Legacy PlasmaRifle and recolored them from green to light blue?

@Joker: Likely not, I'd wager. As Kexx explained wonderfully before on a different mod: "I'll explain. It's not that simple. While WOTC is in fact, an expansion to the vanilla game, in terms of "under the hood", they could very well be two separate games. This presents complications to us modders. For starters each version of the game has a separate 90+GB SDK. Many, myself included, just don't have the space for both.

Furthermore, many things changed from one to the other; new coding scripts, new texture and material shaders, etc. So even if we did have both, we can't just compile the assets in each and be done with it. Much needs to change inside the mechanics of how each piece is added to the game. The assets need to be reworked, the textures as well, etc.

Hope this clarifies why many modders have left vanilla behind."

I like the general design for the gun, tough i feel its rather lackluster that its fire animations are a ripoff of the already existing plasma tier guns, creating a charged beam rather then a projectile,
I would suggest to give the Plasma guns the animations of the sniper rifle but retexture the projectile fired so its glowing plasma rather then being made of lead, so that its like you're shooting a single charged shot at someone and not a beam (its not a laz cannon afterall).
Out of a personal nitpick i think you should have some more shots of the character stances with the marine armor, the one presented in the thumbnail and preview does not do the mod justice with their clipping on the left hand.

You don't like it, you don't have to use it.

The weapon's payload also has a chance to explode on impact, damaging/ killing everything in its blast radius.


You can also edit the *magazine* capacity yourself.

All this mods needs is for the Plasma Gun to have an Overcharge Ability that doubles/triples the damage in exchange for having the 1-in-6 chance of killing the user

Please please PLEASE make some weapon skin mods for the conventional weaponry:

Cannon = Heavy Bolter

Assault Rifle = Bolter

Sniper Rifle = As per W40K Space Marine Sniper Rifle

Shotgun = I would have said Plasma Gun or Melta Gun

Sword = Chainsword or Thunder Hammer

Hunter's Axe = Power Axe

Bolt Caster = Rocket Launcher
