Huh, I launched it via steam instead of just double clicking the shortcut, And it worked.

Although I have to break the Habbit, I'm just glad it still works for me :p

Updates have made this mod broken, and partially eliminated the reason I made it in the first place. Currently, I do not plan to fix it.

This was a very good mod, but with the vanilla graphics updates we are getting thanks to Yellowminer, it's slowly but surely getting obsolete for more and more parts of it.

Ive always been using this mod, for every craft, They just look so good.

However! It seems that it no longer works the way its meant to, I loaded up my stuff, Mod enabled, Mod Installed, and all the guns were Default...

Im checking to see if its just my PC for some reason, or what.

Suggestion: reskin for riffles as 37mm naval gun, and musket as 45mm naval gun. Those guns were used against small boats, were installed in pre-dreads with 75mm ones for anti-destroyer defence. Also it's great mod, my favourite one)

This is a great mod altogether, would love to see re-skins on other modules like the suspendium cannons. Overall, i really enjoy some of the small details like the flamethrowers's igniter animation. The only problem with the mod i've seen is that the ventral normal turrets don't have vertical access ladders. This disabled some ships in my campaign.

I think a change in outlook is fairly enough, in fact all weapons in the game are supposed to have a parabola ballistic, but none of them actually have any. I know that mortar are designed to have indirect fire support, but the effect of grenade in game is about the same: short range, cheap, light and explosive.

In addition to the range still looking comically short, mortars fire upwards, which means: 1) it would make more sense as a roof-mounted module and 2) the desired flight path is impossible to mod into Airships.

I tried some alternate versions of the rifle (all of which kept the wooden stock and didn't look much more modern), but it's tricky to make a sprite that small that looks like anything. In the end I gave up.
For the grenades, I tried to make them look like less-primitive stick grenades, but again the tiny sprites proved problematic. I hadn't considered the grenade launcher angle; while no one actually did build a reasonably modern grenade launcher at the time, all the technology existed to do so. That having been said, I wouldn't resprite grenades with grenade launchers because a proper grenade launcher with such a pathetic range would look silly. Though maybe a crossbow-style grenade launcher...just a thought.

rifles are kinda too small to make them look much different, and grenade launchers weren't really a thing back in the early 20th century (that and the way the weapon works won't fit with anything other than the current thrown grenades)

I switched the projectiles of the sponson guns to not be spherical, but have not redone the weapon sprite because the difference between the original sprite and how I would sprite it is pretty small. Maybe some day, but definitely don't hold your breath.

Is it possible to do a reskin of the cataclysmic expansion and/or mad science mod? I like this mod, but they don't match now, and it looks odd.

I've been considering reskinning more modules (maybe even non-weapon modules, despite the name). Are there any in particular that you folks would like me to do?

The modules are not based on any particular real-world weapons. Just the design trends and available technology of the era.

I've asked around about making a compatible version, and it turns out there's no good way to do it. It would either require lots more ongoing maintenance on my part, or introduce nasty bugs. So I have no intention of doing it.

I've been waiting for this for a long time, those muzzle loading cannons nad just silly looking weapons have been bothering me for a while.

I've noticed how that British M1914 MK.1* Vickers HMG replacing the gatling gun looks also like an italian M1914 Fiat-Revelli, which is great for me.

Have you thought of making skins for the torpedoes? Just put a tiny smokestack on a 1900' torpedo and wam, they don't look like derpy chinese toy planes.

I've encountered a problem with this mod.
I don't know which mod(s) I have installed are doing this, but they alter some of the vanillia weapons, which makes them use the regular sprites and not these ones. Since you aren't considering making a seperate version, will you make patches for these mods?

Would love to see a similar mod for lift/propulsion, so dust tanks look more like zeppelins (I'm thinking something like the royal armoury mod, but really anything less steampunk would be neat)

Excellent job on this, my favourite mod so far, since it does not hurt the vanilla game, and enhances the visuals by a long shot; keep up the superb mods

@Incursore I don't like the vanilla flak cannon because it looks like a very large (and asymmetrical) bundle of recoil absorbers clustered around a needle-thin barrel, and it makes the top of flak ships look cluttered. As for its color, I was getting tired of all the grey and I wanted the (often tactically significant) flak cannon to stand out despite its small caliber. A photo of a WWI light AA gun with a brass finish served as real-life precedent.

As you wish, ours are just suggestion, just because we really appreciate your work :) just another question, changing topic: Why did you modify the Flak cannons? I love all the reskins but I find the flak one less in line with the mod style in comparison to the vanilla one.

Fair point, but I still don't think it to be worth the work. I don't want to make a bunch of modules that do the same thing as vanilla modules, but better. I have some ideas for a new mod featuring original modules, though given the nature of modding I don't want to make any promises about it yet.

The reason I would like another version containing these as seperate weapons is the same reason you made this mod. Anachronism. These weapons look great on high-tier steel, modern-y ships, but they look out of place on the T-0 wooden, more classical ships.
Another reason why I would like a seperate version is to see what you could come up with. These sprites are amazing, I would love to see more from you if you would want to do more.

@People who want these as added modules: Why? Part of the reason I chose to do a reskin was that I figured the market for 20th-century weapon modules was oversaturated already.

@Gmod9K I told him if he wanted the Hussar sprite, he would have to change it to make it look distinct from mine. To my knowledge he hasn't used it. Regarding this mod, I'll tell him no if he asks.
