I load this after everything and I notice half the pre-built classes in the character creator are blank, no attributes, talents or skills
Dragorm 25 Mar, 2021 @ 11:33am
Well, no idea why but; It doesn't works for me anymore.
Dragorm 24 Feb, 2021 @ 9:47am
Loved it thanks!
King DaMuncha 20 Jan, 2020 @ 7:10pm
I want to change companions race to undead.
Guts 2 Dec, 2019 @ 3:08pm
I love this mod and I love you for making it.
space is cool 2 Oct, 2019 @ 3:24pm
yeah it works now. why hasn't steam fixed this
Kalavinka  [author] 2 Oct, 2019 @ 1:45pm
Check your Steam Workshop folder for the .pak file. Occasionally, Steam doesn't correctly move mods it's downloaded into the DOS2 mods folder, causing that issue.
space is cool 27 Sep, 2019 @ 6:58pm
uhh..It doesn't show up in the mod menu..It is definitive version too

"You're already tired of sneaking over that ladder just to enter Camp Poverty before Female Hitler forcibly breathes experience points down your throat and subsequently transfigures all of your companions-to-be into even worse characters."

Just wanted to rate you up for that wonderful thumbnail.
Kalavinka  [author] 17 Jun, 2019 @ 5:41pm
It should work fine with Divine War.
iqaruS 17 Jun, 2019 @ 5:03pm
So I guess this wouldn't work with Divine War?
Vearz08 12 May, 2019 @ 5:15pm
If you don't like the fact that you'll gain all four starter level skills corresponding to the abilities you put points into (just like I do because I don't want skills in my skillbook, I don't gonna use), just recrute your companion(s) and turn off the mod before you'll set them points.

I know, you won't get any skills "for free" this way and you'll have to buy those you really want. But in my opinion that is even better than having many skills you don't gonna use anyways.
Complete_Phased 19 Mar, 2019 @ 5:37pm
does this work with Attribute Insanity 3.0?
Soulmancer 23 Oct, 2018 @ 7:02pm
This will not work with Odin's Overhauls I am guessing?
jack_gf7 21 Oct, 2018 @ 8:05am
I see, thank you for the quick responce! :)
Kalavinka  [author] 18 Oct, 2018 @ 11:22am
No, it wouldn't, unfortunately. That mod says it's incompatible with mods that modify the base classes, and this one does so.
jack_gf7 17 Oct, 2018 @ 5:43pm
could this work in conjuction with auspicious start?
tmonahan23 25 Sep, 2018 @ 11:29am
Thanks for the quick reply!
Kalavinka  [author] 25 Sep, 2018 @ 11:25am
Sadly, it does not. It would be nice to devise a mod that could do that somehow, but I don't think it's possible without somehow creating tedious compatibilities with every mod possible.
tmonahan23 25 Sep, 2018 @ 11:00am
Does this allow the player to tell a party member to choose a new class created from a mod?
Just wondering if there is a mod where i can recruit say the lizard prince but tell him to be a vampire class or X class mod?
SirRacha 13 Sep, 2018 @ 12:17am
yea, this doesn't work with the starter talents. I just want to take the point out of Loremaster and Telekenisis for Sibelle and Fane. So annoying
47Haven 4 Sep, 2018 @ 10:20pm
I don't think the mod works? I've recruited my companions, and it doesn't seem that their skills was refunded. Might check later for incompabilities with other mods (since i've pretty much subbed to most DE mods)
Stabbey 4 Sep, 2018 @ 9:06pm
Anyway, I decided to give this mod a shot so I can at least attempt a 4-Summoner party. I'll have to make the other three people Origins, but it's something.

I made a save in the Hold without the mod installed, and then added it, and I didn't lose my skills, so it worked for me.
Stabbey 4 Sep, 2018 @ 7:53pm
Yeah, I noticed that bug myself in the character creation of the unmodded game. I took a Ranger and tried to make them a Lone Wolf, with Polymorph instead of Pyro, but I couldn't assign a third skill. I eventually did get to work by repeated fiddling, but it was strange.
Kalavinka  [author] 4 Sep, 2018 @ 1:56pm
This mod is proving very difficult to fix. Something's changed in character creation that results in characters being unable to select skills if their class preset was modified. I'm really not sure what's going on at all, looking into it. Don't expect a solution today.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Risky Bigness 4 Sep, 2018 @ 8:18am
Yeah it works great for my companions but when I create my char it doesn't let me add any skills. It will list them at top but it won't allow me to drag or double-click them to add. The only skills I end up with on the ship are the innate ones, the rest are blank.
Ry 4 Sep, 2018 @ 8:16am
Don't worry, I'm completely familiar with the bug plague with modding this game <3

It may not even be something you've done. Could be a confliction with the recent hotfix or the game's code doing weird stuff as it normally does.

Either way, it seems to be working totally fine outside of the creator!
Kalavinka  [author] 4 Sep, 2018 @ 8:12am
RIP Kalavinka's free time

Murdered by bugs

May it find peace in the next world

I'll take a look when I get home, though I can't begin to fathom a possible cause.
Ry 4 Sep, 2018 @ 8:10am
Clicking and dragging has the same problem as just clicking the skills. They make a sound but it doesn't add to the list and still zero starting skills.
Kalavinka  [author] 4 Sep, 2018 @ 7:45am
Have you tried clicking and dragging them in?
chiya 4 Sep, 2018 @ 7:33am
Doesn't work over here either and came to just report it. When you access the Skill menu on character creation, the slots are empty. You can click on a skill, and it makes a sound, but it doesn't add it to the list of skills. When the game starts regardless of what you clicked, you won't know any skills at all.
Kalavinka  [author] 4 Sep, 2018 @ 5:03am
I'm aware of it wiping preset skills, but in my experience, it let you add them fine in preset tab.

I'll test more when I get home.
Ry 4 Sep, 2018 @ 5:01am
Big bug on my tries to use this before starting a game. This actually wipes the presets skills and prevents you from selecting any skills, as well it doesn't give you the skills upon starting in the starting ship, so you are forced to start with zero abilities if you try to start from the character creator.
Adding the mod after character creation has been done seems to remedy this problem.
BlueMeadow 4 Sep, 2018 @ 2:24am
Wonderful, I was actually waiting for this mod to start a DE playthrough
Kalavinka  [author] 4 Sep, 2018 @ 2:05am
That's what my mods are for - extra playthrough support. Fort Joy is easily the biggest obstacle, unfortunately. I'll be looking into Joyless Beginnings but I'd ideally prefer to make a mod that makes Fort Joy fun again.
Corey_ 4 Sep, 2018 @ 2:03am
Ah I've been waiting for this. Nice. While not really relevant to me now I'm sure it will be when I inevitably start another playthrough, thanks.
Alsyme 4 Sep, 2018 @ 12:55am
Thank you for this mod; I always find picking the starter classes to be pain, especially the civil skills
Kalavinka  [author] 3 Sep, 2018 @ 11:12pm
Not at all. Your game will be fine if you turn this mod off after recruitment.
makumaku 3 Sep, 2018 @ 7:46pm
Does turning this off after or during act 1 mess with anything?
Midegola 3 Sep, 2018 @ 4:41pm
