Tie Praetor doesnt fire lasers so those things are useless

@NH DOUG; I had that happen myself, it is due to the detail that you've got to go with the other option of the game system... you see: it has something to do with the switchover apparently to 64 bit regarding the game exiting when it starts.
Me? I can't get enough of the "touch-ups" like ground-based fighter air support, the SSD upgrade models like the Eclipse and Soverign classes, and the like! This is near without a doubt my favorite version so far!

How can I make the AI more aggressive? Changing the difficulty has little effect. I can go eat a quick lunch and come back expecting an attack but nothing.

Game crashes shortly after entering land or space battle in singleplayer and multiplayer. Does anyone know why or have a solution? Other than that I love the mod.

Just started replaying after years away! Love this MOD!!! I noticed that when playing as the Empire, the Hypervelocity Cannon and Death Star II super laser don’t appear to have any effect on enemy ships when fired in Galactic Conquest. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Rendeli Space Piracy mission is the Rebel mirror to Corulag, also impossible.

I understand these changes balance Consortium to a point, and Acclamators are truly unnecessary in this mod, but it's still a bit annoying to have an impossible mission.

There was another small patch for the game recently. Try reinstalling the game and the mod and it should work.

Uh, recently, just a few months ago, the game began to completely fail to play... the mod used to work perfectly fine and dandy, but then the game keeps on kicking out without any clear definition of why; it simply says that an unhandled exception has occured and the game cannot continue.

Thanks a bunch for the tip of turning off the deathstar, that tech 99 did the trick. Also thanks for bringing this back to steam, used to be a old favorite of mine that was still on my pc. Having a stable version so the bomb! Just nice seeing the imperial black fleet back in action.

Played rebel vs empire, built up Nirauan to level 5 shipyard. Get attack by the deathstar. Defeated the escort fleet and won the battle. Another battle right off the bat with the deathstar. Won the battle too. Unfortuneately, the deathstar stayed in orbit. Figure send in luke to finish the job, but my level 5 space station join the empire, despite still owning the planet. Not fun.

Have to say though. Gotta allow to build heroes, like for the Empire elsewhere than Coruscant, because not all GC maps have for example Coruscant

While still a tad buggy, and definitely making the campaign unbalanced, this is still my go-to mod for this game for over a decade. Fantastic.

why does the death star not one tap capital ships? or anything really it seems like an absolute waste of credits to build not to mention its just a freebie for the consortium to kill it

That being said, it was fun to build Praetor s on Mandalore, which should be enough to deter most Empire assault fleets jumping into Zann Consortium territories. To a lesser extent, reviving the Clone Wars-era CIS droid army/fleet upon getting Geonosis and Hypori (though the data pod theft mission on Yavin IV only works with Munificent -class frigates or smaller). I should get the unoccupied planets added in this mod, but I kinda like corrupting them first. (Piracy, especially. I love getting new ships to build on top of what the Zann Consortium already has--vanilla tech/ships included.)

Difficulty-wise, space battles seem slightly faster paced (especially when ships start firing on each other), but I'm guessing the real difficulty changes will be in the Galactic Conquest campaign.

So I'm finally trying out the Zann Consortium campaign on this mod and welp, I guess I understand why Timpedia plays ACM ground battles (and some space battles) fast-forwarded: The re-scaled infantry (and heroes) make them move much slower, and the maps--despite being mostly unchanged--feel more vast as a result. (Guess I need to build/bring more transports to ground battles.)

Shame that the Saleucami Intimidation corruption option is still bugged. And I also had an encounter with a similar bug when I used the Kidnapping corruption option on Nal Hutta where after accomplishing the mission, Tyber Zann bugs out (can't be selected on the Galactic Map). A reload and retry fixed it, but that still invites comparison to the Saleucami Intimidation bug where after accomplishing the mission, Urai Fen bugs out.

Oh, not the game, I meant this mod. (How difficult is the mod? And for comparison, I remember Awakening of the Rebellion being the Dark Souls of Empire at War mods.)

Finished watching through Timpedia's modded playthrough of the Zann Consortium campaign and you can apparently build CIS ships once you get Geonosis (which wasn't in the vanilla ZC campaign). Also, I wonder what ships you can build on Rothana and Rendili?

(Not really a fan of Tim speeding up tactical battles and trying to bumrush through everything, though.)

Yes, it was a couple months ago. Easy as Zann Consortium is incredibly easy in skirmish and Galactic Campaign, I don't know how hard the story Campaign is.

@wings, yes you can disable the deathstar, just find it in the xml files and change the tech level to 99.

Any way we can disable the Death Star in the GC? I can't play Zann in it because if I destroy the DS with them, it loses me IG-88. Also, there's more credits than I know what to do with eventually.

In regards to Admiral Daala, if she is in a fleet with a minor fleet officer, the fleet officer will show first, unlike all other heroes at the top of the stack.

I've also noticed that the Hero From The Empire, Admiral Daala, does not show at the top of the stack on planets like other heroes do.

Nor does she display 25% bonus to construction in her description, just that she has a bonus. All other heroes that have construction bonus display that it's 25"%.

Version 2.5 has been uploaded with the ground turret build bug fix. Please report any other bugs here and I will fix them as soon as possible. As always, do not use old saved game files with a new version of any mod.

the fix is ready to be uploaded, unfortunatly, the process of updating a mod on steam is needlessly complex. I'm trying to make it to where it will just be an update vs. totally new download to make life easier for everyone. As with all updates in this game, do not try to use old saved game files.

Fantastic Mobb! Thanks for dong this. This is my fave Empire at War mod. I recently reverted back to the 32 bit version of the game, as all the pads work then. When I've finished the Galactic Conquest, I will be happy to go back to 64bit, and play with your fixes. Well done for finding root cause of the problem.

Update to build pad bug:
I have discovered that the "GROUNDTURRETS.XML" file is indeed the culprit. I will do some further testing to make sure that removing this file is indeed the fix.

Some side effect of this "fix":
anti infantry and anti vehicle turrets will have vanilla health. while this is not a big deal I felt it was worth disclosing.

I will continue to find a better solution, but I wanted to share the fact that I was aware of the issue and am working on a fix / fixes.
