Unless new updates also renders those unable to land properly.
Both Main Hull and Carriers each has a projector.
You can find them in the K menu interface, thought I didn't set them to perfectly align the blueprint with the ship, so manual setup is required.

The door is controlled via a hidden sensor,
The sensor should be on the conveyor junction sitting a few blocks above the door, maybe it was missed by the welder perhaps?

Seems you have a better computer then mine, I semi freezes from time to time as soon as I spawn the whole ship :P
As for the projectors aboard, how do I make them work?

The ship only needs ion to operate in space, including the main hull and carrier wings:)
As for scripts, I only used the script for LCDs, but there are plenty more programmable blocks on the main hull free to add more scripts you would like.
Even each carrier wing bridge has an additional programmable block aside from the one used for LCD script, so you can add scripts to carriers without worrying they have to be connected to the main hull to work :)
Is there a script that it automatically does the ammo for the turrets aboard?
P.S I just managed to finish building the ship, all I have left is the thrusters. But then that's about it!
More questions regarding the ship, does it need the H2 thrusters or just ION works? To move around in space, that is.

Large Cargo Containers of this ship are all concealed without direct access, but all of them are connected through conveyor system.
You can access them with all the small cargo containers, connectors, or any connection port you find :)

I did think of making it as survival ready as possible.
It’s definitely viable by building one carrier wing first to use as a single ship/base, then work the way up to finally finish the main hull.
Though the resource is still gonna be quite enormous, I hope it can serve well as a cooperative project between a group of few friends:)

Currently there are no access to carrier's engineering devices except via conveyor system.
I didn't put any entrance since there is no reason to directly interact with them except when the ship is damaged, which will provide "access" anyway :P
I will see if I can find a good spot to put a door or two to them in the future.
I love it
