If the former, than something is not working right. I'll look in to that. But if you mean the drum track, I'll ask you to refer to the comment I made in reply to you on my Campaign Begins sound replacer mod. We've had that discussion before, my friend. Wish I could change it, but it's just not reasonably possible.
I have had some maps not properly play these sounds, typically because they tried to use their own. But I haven't noticed any issues with the sounds playing in most maps lately.
Playing with this completely changes the atmosphere of the game. You did a really good job, I hope my first comment didn't give any other impression.
BUT, if you truly want to use this pack but don't want the item sound, it's VERY simple to change that. Google GCFScape for a tool to open up and take apart the VPKs in your workshop folder, delete "itempickup.wav" in sound/item, then use vpk.exe (located in Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Left 4 Dead 2/bin) to turn the extracted folder back in to a VPK. Throw that VPK in to your addons folder and you're good to go.
If you haven't done this before, it's pretty easy to do, and it opens up all sorts of possibilities for customizing mods on the workshop to fit your particular wants.
Have fun making your pack!
The original "mega_mob_incoming.wav" is 6.3 seconds long (and in fact the sound has almost completely faded out about 4.5 seconds in) You could upload a 30 second version, or even a 30 hour version. But the game would play the first 6.3 seconds and then stop. While I too would like to here a longer siren playing as a horde attacks, it's not practical.
As for video footage for the mod, I may do that down the road, as I understand it can be hard to download a sound mod without samples. Not immediate plans though.
As far as a seperate download link, I assume you mean something off the workshop. I might pack the whole collection up as a single download and put that up somewhere. Both a VPK and loose files for picking and choosing or manual installs.
As for the Zombie Horde sound mod you linked, that was one of the original inspirations to make this. I used my own version of the sound clip for this pack. The one in Addbue's mod is slightly too long for the game files, so it cuts out early in game. With mine, I cut and crossfaded the middle portion of the siren (where it's a flat tone) and made it fit the vanilla sound's length. This means the sound is shorter, but fades in and out more cleanly.
- Would you please make long video gameplay for each things that you do in details :D
- easier downloadable link so that we can choose which music we want so we don't need to open the game and wait for vpk :D
Thank you and you are amazing :D
