Report a translation problem
The reason it doesn't work is apparently that the game itself with Definitive Edition, adds some form of this into the base game. Even the Gift Bag doesn't work with coop (exact same as this mod actually). What I did was using LeaderLibs mod config menu, and enable the Spirit Vision Toggle in the game mod option menu that it gives.
These comments are to help future users that might not know how to solve this! Thanks again for the creators of these mods, for making them.

Adding a source point cost is definitely possible, but given that the game likes to sometimes erase the spell for no reason... Yeah, it's going to waste points.

As a workaround, you can disable the mod just for the character creation, and then re-enable it later. It shouldn't mess with anything that way.
