AI speed in this game is based on your own ship's speed, so picking a faster ship makes the AI faster. This is a challenge on a track where it is hard to build up speed. Use the straights in the second half to land weapon hits and out speed the AI, and just try not to donk in the chicane part.

I can't get the hang of this track, with default ships it's neck and neck so if you make one mistake then bye bye
As for custom ships the skill gap that exists between ships (as a result of being made by different authors) makes it so you'll be at least near someone but the leader may be 4 seconds ahead

Yeah, I took the triple jumps from Road Atlanta. They're a pretty well known part of that course.
