Yes, it does that but you can fix it by talking to them with your avatar. But only them. No one else will work.

Just tried this mod. It appears to make Sir Lora stop following me. He waits wherever I used the portable mirror last.

much apreceated m8, if possible could you add a few mini version of the green glowing mirror that can be picked up like the four tiny mirrors you made? it would make for a cool decritive piece but it also doesint have the portrate glitch.

@shardinhand I removed the dead link, thanks for calling that out.
shardinhand 8 Nov, 2023 @ 2:53am
second link is broken

love this idea using it glitches character portate, tried on multiple characters including main charecter and mod added character. same partrate glitch in both cases.

@FreyaMaluk You can also add the other version on board the Lady Vengeance that becomes available in Act 2. It adds another 4 mirrors. Which doesn't help on Fort Joy, but should set you up for the rest of the game if you don't mind passing it around for awhile

@Daniel7400 hi! super cool mod! thanks for sharing!
any chance I can somehow modify to give me 6 mirrors instead of 4? playing with party size extended
MonkInsane 12 Oct, 2020 @ 12:14pm
Not as far as I'm aware - it's the white portrait bug (Your mirror worked fine once - just as I'd picked them up - but after that I get the bug.) . Seems to happen when there's more than one respec mirror in an area. This is just off my own observations. The Gift Bag DLC mirror works fine on it's own - but if I add portable Respec Mirror - I get the White Portrait bug (not caused by this mod specifically - it's probably 2+ mirrors in area plus other factors - also not consistent. Some get the bug - others dont, seems I'm one of the "lucky" ones lol).

I'll give it a try again as soon as I'm in ACT II - off Fort Joy to confirm my suspicions. Great Mod though.

Just to note: I am running a few other mods as well, they could also be playing a role (no other respec mod though).

@MonkInsane I was able to use it with the Official Larian mod with no issue when they released it. Did they change something that causes an issue now?
MonkInsane 11 Oct, 2020 @ 6:59am
This clashes with the Official Fort Joy Respec mirror DLC - even if that option is not enabled. May be safe to enable AFTER Fort Joy.

@[1R#] Землемер, thanks for the link. I haven't kept up with the divinity modding scene but I'll definitely add it to the mod description as an option.

@werewolf, there really isn't anything I can do for you. If you lost all 4 mirrors the only thing I can think of is to load an earlier save. Or if you are okay with waiting until Act 2 you can download the other version of the mod linked above (Lady Vengeance location) to get new mirrors.
venom 6 Apr, 2020 @ 8:15am
i lost every mirrors and now cant found it, i tried to remove mod and install again but it didnt work. could you help me pls @daniel7400
ecania 7 Mar, 2020 @ 10:30am
Installed the large mirror and now it works fine , many thanks for the mod and your fast support.
Daniel7400  [author] 7 Mar, 2020 @ 10:23am
@ecania, technically this mod requires nothing else to function but if you not have a large mirror in the map when you try to respec your portrait will be messed up. I recommend either getting Larian's official version or the one I link above (although I think that has been abandoned).
ecania 7 Mar, 2020 @ 10:17am
no Im only use this version
Daniel7400  [author] 7 Mar, 2020 @ 10:16am
@ecania, if you look in the mod description I already mention in there that this mod has nothing to do with the white/black portrait but rather a problem with the base game itself. Are you using a mod that adds a large respec mirror to Fort Joy? If not that will definitely cause the problem.
ecania 7 Mar, 2020 @ 10:07am
This is bugged , get white portraits after use
v1ld 3 Jan, 2020 @ 5:37am
Note that the mirror on the beach added by "Fort Joy Respec - Definitive Edition" no longer works after Larian added their own built-in Fort Joy mirror mod. Clicking on the mirror on the beach will do nothing. However, that mirror allows this mod to work.
v1ld 3 Jan, 2020 @ 5:36am
Just confirming that this mod still works fine as long as you have a working mirror in Fort Joy. I chose to use "Fort Joy Respec - Definitive Edition" instead of Larian's built-in mod because the latter introduces a save dependency from what I've read.

Main reason for posting: I've had no problems with companion respecs or their potraits going blank. Everything works as it should with this mod + "Fort Joy Respec - Definitive Edition".
Daniel7400  [author] 26 Dec, 2019 @ 9:45am
@D.A.R.K, You have to enable it in-game. Larian placed it under Fort Joy in the arena.
D.A.R.K. 26 Dec, 2019 @ 5:36am
How do I use Larian's Fort Joy Respec Mirror mod? I can't find it.
Thehail 25 Nov, 2019 @ 4:08pm
Hello players! Good news for you - if you want to remove the white portrait bug you only need to use Larian's Fort Joy Respec Mirror mod.

This happens only when there's no mirror on Fort Joy. When you load the mod you will still have the white portrait, but the next time you use the respec it'll fix the bug.
Suploly 11 Nov, 2019 @ 2:11am
@Daniel7400 oh really? damn alright that sucks, well thanks for the clear up.
Daniel7400  [author] 10 Nov, 2019 @ 11:34am
@Suploly, this mod does not cause the white portrait bug. Doing a respec in general can cause it, and this bug has been around in the base game for a long time now. I've had done multiple playthroughs and the only time I ever got any portrait issue was when I didn't have a main respec mirror in fort joy.
Suploly 9 Nov, 2019 @ 11:33pm
Disclaimer, if you do use this on your companions it will cause their portrait to bug out and be just white. So be careful when respecing your characters
Daniel7400  [author] 6 Oct, 2019 @ 2:10pm
@לSkinnygangsterם, I'll be honest I have no idea lol. I'd assume its fine if you are controlling them when they use it. But I never explicitly tried it with any companions.
Schatti 6 Oct, 2019 @ 2:22am
what happens if you use it on your companions? does it bug or anything. Or act just as normal.
A response would be much appreciate :steamhappy:
Chaincat 17 Sep, 2019 @ 1:05am
I doubt you'll have anyway to fix this, but it seems to break Sir Lora's pathing.
AnimatedJester 20 Feb, 2019 @ 9:38am
@civilization it fixes itself when you use the normal respec mirror and then is fine for the rest of the game.
civilization 16 Feb, 2019 @ 9:13pm
I should note that I put that other mod before this mod in the load order.
civilization 16 Feb, 2019 @ 9:12pm
I found my portrait went all white unless I FIRST also activated https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1616232800
Daniel7400  [author] 3 Jan, 2019 @ 3:17pm
@Sir Loin of Beef; What you are explaining shouldn't be possible. Although the method to get there is different the process of actually respecing is using the way it's built by the game devs. Since this is the Fort Joy version I must ask, are you using the "Fort Joy Respec - Definitive Edition" mod? Also, what other mods are you using? Have you tried running just this mod and the one I mention above and get the same problem?
Sir Loin of Beef 2 Jan, 2019 @ 7:55pm
After using the respec mirror, it removed my attribute points permanitely
Unfulfilled Desires 13 Nov, 2018 @ 11:38pm
i managed to get it working, thanks for getting back with me, im not entirely sure what the deal was, but after resubbing a few times it hung for like 5min even on an SSD, it loaded eventually, and now it seems to load smoothly, it could of been an issue with the load order too, most of the mods i have are just additional class' mods and the sprinting toggle.
Daniel7400  [author] 13 Nov, 2018 @ 3:46pm
@Slime Drooling Tunnel, I don't believe this mod would cause any issues unless there were some other issues going on as well. What mods do you currently have enabled along with this one?
Unfulfilled Desires 13 Nov, 2018 @ 12:44am
just having this mod turned on seems to break my game entirely, wont load past 50-60%
Chopper Dave 25 Oct, 2018 @ 3:05pm
@Daniel7400 Thanks for the heads up. Also, for whatever reason steam is marking that link as potentially malicious and will not let me see what it is. I found it through searching the workshop. I hope this is the correct one.
Daniel7400  [author] 25 Oct, 2018 @ 2:23pm
@Dead Tom, if you are using this mod in Fort Joy and do not have the Fort Joy Respec - Definitive Edition (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1507233042&tscn=1540502213) mod as well you are going to get that problem. The problem with Fort Joy is that there is no natural place to actually respec so when you try it will break the portrait. Granted it can just happen normally as well since this is a problem in the base game sometimes too.
Chopper Dave 25 Oct, 2018 @ 2:16pm
I started a new game and using the mirror on any Origin character breaks their portrait permanently (even after reloading). It does not ever break my custom character's portrait. When the portrait breaks, it gets replaced by a nearly blank white box with a couple little pixelated lines. It is pretty frustrating to then distinguish who is coming up in the turn order and other infuriating little things. I'm trying to determine if this is caused by a mod conflict as I have quite a few running right now.

The mods I have running right now are (All DE): This mod, 8 Max AP, tons of class mods (both Helaene's and Heaphaistos'), Monsters Everywhere, Crafting Overhaul Mod, Rendal's Armor & Weapons, Rendal's Dye Vallina Armors, and Free Pet Pal.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I'll be painstakingly going through turning off mods 1 at a time and testing today.
