I'm trying to modify it just enough so possible to play on 10.5. Main issue are Factions and Traders. Will probably lack several new features. If I publish then are to credit and link to this original Scenario.

Hmmm, It may be time to reinstall and re-familiarize myself with the yaml files and stuff... Looks like they may be getting ready for the Unity 2018 update in 10.0 or so... I may make a couple of test scenarios to get reaquainted with the game again... Nothing fancy, just test platforms to see what can currently be done... It might get interesting after 10.0 releases...

Well, It's March... Just dropped in to see whats going on... They still have many of the same problems they have had for a while... I'll check back after 10.0 or 12.0 or so releases... Actually I might just wait till they get to Beta before I reinstall this game...

It has a lot of Potential, but it's not really any fun for me in it's current Alpha State with so many recurring bugs, immersion breaking bugs, and losing every ship and base you spend weeks on building every few releases...

And it is certainly not any fun building a whole new scenario with custom POI's and ships and stuff just to lose it all with a new update... Plus all the immersion breaking bugs they have yet to fix...

I'll check back in 6 months or a year or so and see if they have made any real bug killing progress, and gotten to a more stable point in their game development... But more than likely this game wont be anywhere near ready for stable fun Scenario building gameplay for another year or 3...

Well,
It's close to the middle of February...
Just popped in to check on where the updates stand...

It doesn't appear that I will be making any Scenarios anytime soon... The devs have the game in a state that I have no interest in sinking any time into at the moment...

Will check back in towards the middle of March and see if it's gotten any better...

Right now Im getting ready to sink a couple of weeks or a month or so into into my solo toons Eve accounts.... Gotta make those iskies to keep my accounts going :-) :-) :-) I will be back in the middle of February or March or so to look at this game again :-) :-) :-)

And as usual, I have my personal studies going on all the time too.. I also want to begin to learn a bit about some other things that I haven't looked into yet... So while Eleon is changing game behavior and putting untested experimental crud on the stable branch just seems like the perfect time to set this one aside for a while as I learn and grow in other areas...

Also I haven't looked, but I bet there are peeps who have made some pretty awesome Scenario's already... Give em a look see and I bet you find some awesome scenarios to tide you over :-) :-)

I will take a look at this game again come March or so, will probably take a look in the middle of February too... Right now it is a no go though... It's far Too much work just to have a different cargo system and no more neutral traders or neutral NPC's anywhere... Taking 3 steps back in what you can do is not my idea of fun... And certainly not worth sinking my time into...

There is still no mid or end game content... So once I start playing again, I will see what I need to do to make the game enjoyable for me and build a scenario accordingly...If I am able too...

Patience my friend... Give em time to get 9.0+ right... As far as I have seen so far, they are not there yet... Sure bro, I could make a half baked scenario with just a starter base with goodies in it and a couple of other varied start options... Yet It wouldn't have any decent custom forts in it though at this point... And also when 9.4 or 9.5 came out, it wouldn't have any of the new features 9.4 or 9.5 have...

Wont be long now... Bet they get 9.0+ kicking pretty good by March... Hang tight and give Eleon a bit more time to work some stuff out... They may not fix the Factions though in 9.0+... So having accessable traders and other neutral NPC's in custom forts may be something they just dont want people to have fun with at this point... I want to give em another month to see if they make nuetral NPC's available again... But it may be 10.0 or 11.0+ before that happens if at all...

There doesn't appear to be a faction fix for this new Alpha 9.2 Part 2 update yet... Will reinstall whenever I can make scenarios that I enjoy playing...

FYI - the only reason I uninstalled is to keep the updates from happening all the time...
Will reinstall and create my scenarios again whenever Eleon gets around to fixing the factions...
If they go that direction that is...
There is always the chance that they dont want my type of scenario in their game...
It's a small chance, but it is a possibilty nonetheless...

Anywhoseit, I still believe it will be February or March before they get around to fixing it so I can make these types of scenarios again at the earliest, judging from Eleons past update practices...

Yeah... Eleon made it so I couldn't make em like this anymore... They have to fix the factions and whatnot so I can put NPC's that are Neutral to the player in Hostile POI's once again...

They should get it fixed soon I imagine... By soon I mean a month or 3... I've moved on from this game for the time being... No sense in playing it the way it is with nothing to do once you get past the first planet...

Make no mistake, this will be awesome once they finish it and have added mid and end game content and whatnot... It's one of the reasons why I made the hard fort battles - To make up for the lack of mid and end game content... But I will keep an eye on it, and maybe even reinstall it and work on some more scenarios once they fix this 9.0 mess...

we are waiting for you :) this map is great. a lot of raw materials, no weight restrictions, there is someone to fight with, I played many hours on it :) other scenarios are weak.

I will wait until I can at the very minimum do at least as much as I could in 7.0+ and 8.0+... Then I will be back and take a look at the time required to build entirely new everything from scratch and build a scenario and customize the resource, plant and creature life on many of the playfields...

I learned my lesson about building scenarios before the game is ready for em once already...
No need for me to learn that painful, time comsuming, and time wasteful experience twice..

skiper, I expect it to be sometime in January before they fix the factions at the very earliest... Probably more like February or March though to be honest...

For me to make whole new POI's would take a long time... I'm talking months...
So I beleive now is a good time for a break from this game while they are busy getting some of the harder aspects right that they are just now introducing with 9.0+...

Give Eleon some time... I will be back in a month or 3 and take a peek at how they are progressing...
I am not going to make scenarios that are regressive in nature just because the game isn't ready now, for what it could do before they introduced new incomplete features...

ExoticPsykotic It's more than likely an issue with the release of 9.0... These past version Scenarios don't generally work on a new release... I wouldn't even try an 8.0+ scenario on the new 9.0 game...
Other than that, I can't think of anything else that may be causing the issues...

I'll be back in a month or so to see if 9.0 is fixed and maybe start working on a new scenario for 9.0 if the game looks stable enough and Eleon has fixed most of the broken stuff that bogs down scenario makers now...

i am running into weird issues and i am wondering if they are part of the scenario or possible issues. first, none of the enemy poi's are attacking me and i can access their p menu without destroying the core. The only hostile entitys are the foot soldiers and that is when they see me. i can fly over them and they will not fire on me untill they physically see me. So far it is just the first three planets and i was figuring that it was part of the scenerio, you start easy and as you progress to the outer planets then they start to kick your azzzz more.

Im going to work on something else for a while... This last version release to 9.0 was friggin Horrible... No way for me to get interested in it at this point with such a terrible release... I'll check back in a month or 3 and see if they fixed any of this horrendous stuff... Eleon pretty much broke everything with this one... Factions dont work and the inventory changes requires all brand new POI's... Thats too much for a part time hobby... And it is certainly too much for a game you are supposed to play, not work at...

OK i'll start thinking about what to do... But it wont be the same... I always try to make sure there is at least one starting area with lots of goodies... But these guys made it hard to do this time... Not being able to make the POI's I want to make really puts a damper on things...

and maybe forts do without factions and my favorite boxes with giveaway :) I admit I do not know how to make scenarios, but I play SP a lot and yours are the best. Maybe now without a fort, but with a lot of POIs and a lot of resources on startup planets + free boxes. greetings

Well shoot... tried to make a scenario for 9.0+... These types of scenarios no longer work in 9.0+ with the changes they have made to inventory and Factions...
I cant build POI's like this anymore... Maybe they will get around to fixing it eventually, But with the system as it is now, I just cant build these forts and put traders in em and whatnot... It no longer works...

Sorry about that... I know there were at least some of you who really enjoyed these...
I will work on it again once they get around to fixing the factions...

OK... Just found out that this problem will get fixed in the future... Dont know when, but when it does I will conitnue these types of Scenarios for all of you who like them...

No 9.0 Scenario for ya man...

They Didn't fix the RANDOM FLOATING ITEMS BUG from 8.6+ yet...

I just wasted close to 20 hours working on getting a scenario started for 9.0...

Now I've got random floating items following me around in the air, and a huge Alien Gun and lights just hovering beside my mountain top base...
No way will I waste another month like I did back in 8.6+ trying to figure this out again...

I'm pretty pissed off about it too...
I submitted a bug report with Video, and tried my best to contact em and get some input on it... But they ignored this bug... Never even acknowledged it... If I come back in a week or 3 and this Chits not fixed, I may just uninstall this game... That was 20 hours today, and an entire month of 20 hour days way back when it started...

Screw this...

No worries mate, I always change the planets to the new planets, but only improve the Forts and POI's with each new release... I think I started doing this around 5.0+ or 6.0+ with my EZ series, then morphed into the Fort Tusken type stuff in 7 & 8.0+... I may still have the 7.0 versions up...

So I just made a large system, but I havent put any of the POI's in it yet, just using the stock stuff... But after Eleon gets this 9.0+ updated a few times, I may make a mid size system about the size of this one and begin adding POI's... I need to change the placement of Spawners and maybe add a sublevel or 2 too the forts (or make some new ones) so it's new and fresh and ya have to find the new spawn points or die hehehe...

I really need to do a complete playthrough to max level and build everything I can think of before I build a new scenario too... Just so I have tested every item in game in multiple playfields...

Aint no way at this particular point in time bro... Sorry to say it but I just got started playing 9.0 a couple of hours ago and it would take me a good while to figure out what I need to do for a 9.0 scenario...

Yet I may make one once they settle down with the updates to 9.0... Look for one around 9.5 or 9.6 or so for sure... I will want to make one for myself and when I do (once Eleon gets 9 stable) I have no problem at all with uploading it to the workshop to share with those who like this type of scenario...

Sorry to hear you are having trouble in every starting area that you have tried so far Xerxes86...

I made a video you can watch and see clearly that there are several options to start from...
One of them is so easy that it gives you a huge base and an HV and even 4 Auto miners if you wish, with Zero enemies that spawn in the starting biome...
Two of the starts havent been modified at all and are just like playing the vanilla game...
And the only real hard start I made is the Fort Gold Brick start...
I suggest you watch that Video and maybe try one of the easier starts if you cant handle the harder starts like the Fort Gold Brick start...

Oh and and the POI's are meant to be taken on foot. What a crock. Ten turrets, doing several times normal damage, and you are going to run up, and take out them out with a pea shooter. Yeah sure, in your dreams.

@Nightring, wrong. It's not single player. It's also ridiculous. I like said, Heavy Armor, 2 Armor upgrades, and you die from a single shot every time no matter what weapon the NPC is using, or how far away they are. It's spawn, single shot, dead, that is the entire scenario. All of them. It's stupid. No amount your BS changes that.

Oh yeah, In Fort Gold Brick in SP mode, If the Courtyard proves too tough for ya, you can build an HV in the first hall once ya clear it and that should make it a thousand times easier... That Hall is quite wide enough to build a good little HV in... I did that on one playthrough and it worked like a charm... Made it too easy though... So after that when I do a playthrough, I mostly try to clear the first hall and courtyard and and guns on the roof on foot, then build an HV and get out and build my own base and come back later to finish it off... The guns on the roof take forever to kill with a Rifle though... So ya gotta be patient or use an HV to take em out...

Xerxes86, Fort Gold Brick on Hades should be the only one that is ultra hard for SP and it is designed for Co-op play... I do die in it 10,000 times every time I try it by myself in SP LOL... Even that one though, you can clear the first hall, then the courtyard, then take out the guns on the roof, then build an HV and either escape the Fort, or use the HV to kill the 2nd floor stuff that is hard to get too on foot... However, Fort Tusken should be quite doable in SP... And the rest are easily doable in SP... The Rukminash Start is actually designed for new players...

There is no way this is a single player mod, tried a couple of starting places and the insta deaths just about everywhere with heavy armor and two armor upgrades is stupid. For single player it should have it's own mod called "die a 10,000 times."

I took over Fort Vorr, and made it my new home :). Built a CV landing pad with repair on the roof, installed furnaces, advanced constructors, deconstructors, more power, and plugged all the holes I had made taking it down. I didnt realize this before, but you can change the trader type inside using the p menu once I dropped a core in. I gave myself the mining, weapons, and servent traders so that I don't have to go somewhere else to sell loot. :steamhappy: Now I am on the moon and scouting around for Fort Gold Brick, and plan to do the same there.
