I Just love that old horror movie refence that actually fits quite with pyro.
although pyro doesn't have dramatic backstory with mines and doesn't murder people with pickaxe .

You can also use the Pickaxe prop from TF2's map prop models.

That body misc, helmet, and the rugged respirator make for a fucking amazing post apocalypse pyro. You could also use the Spawn camper or Proof of Purchase

I own one of these in real life, it's called a GP-7. They were a civilian grade version of another gas mask of a similiar shape.
