No, thanks for helping me find the oversight. Shortcuts by the game devs are a common source of errors when trying to mod said game. I don't blame the devs, mind: when you're working to a budget and a deadline it's completely understandable.

Awesome, thanks.

Okay, looks like I got careless about the bit where the tutorial hero and the Mezari starting hero overlap in some ways and just skipped in this mod. She did get "covered" in my pass for the rebalance mod, but as she was reasonably balanced in the first place, she isn't edited by that mod.
Thanks for the heads up. I've updated the mod and it should be fixed. At least, it's working for me, though the Workshop being what it is, that's no guarantee of anything.

Also, consider adding a link to its "companion mod" in both mods' descriptions. :)

FYI: The Mezari starting hero is Avara Lasmak. [endlesslegend.gamepedia.com]

There's Commander Irjsko Lasmak and Sable Deceiver Bayari Kulaa, both of which my mod covers. If it's a different hero, then it's added by another mod and I'm not responsible for it, and if it's one of these then I'd assume you have another mod overwriting this entry.

Might be worth mentioning, the Mezari heroes does not have the tags. At the very least the starting hero doesn't.

Should be updated for Symbiosis. Please report any problems.

I've never played the game multiplayer, but I assume that all players must have the same mods enabled in the mod selection screen. I know that when loading a game with one player, the client checks that the current mod selection matches that associated with the game before "connecting" to it (i.e. loading it); I assume that an equivalent check is performed for additional players connecting to the game by either their clients or the host process.
Please feel free to let me know if this is not the case.

is this mod client side or when playing with others do i have to disable it? i play with a lot of friends, but if i enable this mod while playing with them does it work on my side only or does it not work at all?

Think about it: this hero's a general, this hero's a governor, and this hero is mixed. It's not a positive label. Balanced doesn't have that issue, but isn't terribly descriptive either.
[Var] is worth considering, but I'm not in any hurry to make any changes.
And one of the nice things about this mod is that it means that sorting heroes on the market by name is actually quite useful.
Truzzle 13 Oct, 2018 @ 11:15am
I feel that you're taking "mixed" in the sense of steam reviews ratings while I was considering it in terms of miscellaneous uses (<-- a word that would be perfect if there were an appropirate 3 letter abreviation for it). Balanced has the same issue, any term is imperfect because readers are varied. For gamers, balanced is percieved as a matter of fairness or broken-ness. [Var]iety/ious would be undistracting and clear.
Well, you can reorder heroes by not-just-name. Name is the least useful thing to organise them by, if that's the default order then... silly EL dev.
But really, it's no biggy. If I was OCD I'd want each tag to start with a different letter.

@Truzzle
Hah! I changed the spacing as a test while in development and then never remembered to change it back. Personally I just never really much noticed it, though I guess I was aware of it.
In any case, that's fixed.
With regards to the labels, I understand your point, though I don't personally consider it a problem. I don't personally like [Mix]ed as a label; it almost sounds pejorative, and certainly doesn't sound, well, useful. How about [Bal]anced? The only issue I have with that is that those heroes would then show up at the top of the hero market, which I'd rather they didn't.
Truzzle 12 Oct, 2018 @ 8:07am
The space between the label and the name seems to be missing when I actually test.
Also please change " [Ver]satile " to " [Mix]ed " or anything that isn't part of the word Governer... [Go[V]er]ner. Otherwise, I like this especially for new players, thanks.
