@aZmoDen, their size is controlled by a single variable, there's no "max size" I can set
*Maybe* more knowledgable people could do it through the shader. I certainly can't.

Is there a way you could possibly shrink the empires 'icons' ?
Example: the Tronzaru Servitors, could be half the size, like the triangle of 'CoL' size and still be ledgeable.

Borders mod is a separate thing, part of "Elegant Galaxy" collection and it's called: Light Borders

I'm not sure whether it's possible, to be honest, Bioklonik.
I can control position with the shader, but I don't know if it can change size. I'll try.
