@0Micron: it should! It may not support new or modded planets perhaps, but all the original planets like Earth, Mars, Alien, and all moons etc should all work, let me know if it doesn't :)

Yo does this mod still work? Thinking of trying it for a playthrough.

I haven't had the time to look at the frostbite fix, I put it back on my todo though so hopefully I won't forget this time >>
I wish I didn't have to run a patcher to get space engineers working on linux.. but oh well. Soon!

I don't think so no, it's a pretty simple XML based mod that just changes the ore depths in the default planet files. There's a small chance they use those as default value for the other ores, but I don't expect it.
You could make such a mod pretty easily by just adding those ores to the desired world files with the depth you want

Does this mod works for modded ores like Deuterium or Thorium, too?

Also completely forgot to update this with the frostbite world, I kinda got hired for a new job (at some well recognized search company:) so I've been really busy, and I also personally run Linux, so it's a little tough updating mods, but I'll try take a look at it this weekend.

it's the normal depths, iirc it's something like 50m deep for common ores (iron, silicon, etc) and 150m deep for uncommon ores (uranium etc)

Surface until core, more deeper you dig, more ore veins you find.

What exactly is the start depth range?

NP, I think I looked into why it might or might not work awhile back (last time i was on triton..;) and found a file (named after triton) that looked promising but I didn't really know what to look for or if I found it how to 'fix' it ;) Thanks for taking a look. Best of Luck!

Found the SBMI file at least :) I'll try see what I can do, though I'm currently busy redoing some personal things (nextcloud/matrix server) which kind of take priority because it affects my daily life, I'll try get to it soon though. Thanks again for letting me know :cozyspaceengineersc:

Thanks for the heads up, I recently acquired frostbite so I can take a took, though I haven't booted space engineers in a while. I hope I still have the .sbmi file for this..

This doesn't seem to work with the new frostbite planet/moon I think the ore info is in its own new file. Any Chance of a fix/inclusion?

I've just tested it again for use on my server, and it appears to work as it should; there are white fleck patterns that indicate ores, and the ores go down hundreds of meters at very least (I tested 600m). The ores do seem to be rare, but maybe that's just part of the last Economy update.

hmm, I'll have to test it again soon then. Thanks for the heads up
Reigdaer 25 Jun, 2019 @ 12:32pm
thats another thing, i start a new game with the mod and i cant find any ores on the surface (the dark or grey spots), it is only happening on planets...
a  [author] 25 Jun, 2019 @ 12:30pm
@Reigdaer: Yea it's been a while since I tested it but it should still work, the name 'full of ore' is a bit of a hyperbole, basically what I did was make the ore veins much much deeper, so deep that they go through the planet and up again on the other side a little, resulting in the planet being filled to the core with ore deposits, but also lots of stone. You'll still have to find an ore deposit :)
Reigdaer 23 Jun, 2019 @ 2:46pm
is this mod working?, because i went 500m deep and saw nothing :S
a  [author] 21 Mar, 2019 @ 11:19pm
@Colenor: Nope, could probably make a mod for that though, but seeing how easy that is there's probably many mods out there that already do it (it's in the generator definitions for the vanilla planets)
Colenor 21 Mar, 2019 @ 6:30pm
just curious. does this add the ores that arent usually on planets like uranium?
a  [author] 21 Mar, 2019 @ 11:47am
I updated it with the base game files, it should now work with the release version of Space Engineers!
Chalchiutlicue 16 Sep, 2018 @ 7:56am
Thank you!
The icno text is a bit wrong. :)

So the ore starts from 10m depth and ends in the planet core?
Nice, the other mods were way to deeeeeeeeeeep.
