I've been getting the opposite and it permanently increases their will every time they equip it!
though that was in the character pool, I have no idea about if this affects the campaign or not.

Yeah, just had the -25 will everytime i equipped it. Was hilarious to see my soldier at -180 Will.

If it's not showing a name it's a corpse for a unit that you don't have enabled.. most likely to be Ashylenne Lee's Advent Warlock/Psion unit

I do believe I am, correct. I had a feeling that would cause an issue. Probably a corpse I haven't encountered yet, probably?

Are you playing LwotC with ModJam ? It adds corpse requirements for some stuff

Slight update: I was able to add the armor in through console command, but they become ghosts with the Psi Armor not being visible on their bodies.

When I get the research ready for Psi Armor, one of the requirements for it to work is some value that doesn't even appear. It just says, in red text, "1" and then the usual requirements to research it. Is it supposed to be a corpse that I don't have yet?

the will loss bug seems to be fixed.. it was Unrestricted Customisation causing the problem

@RustyDios I have tried the additional soldier commands multiple times and they have zero impact on the situation.

The ONLY viable fix (for me) was to copy the character to the pool, create a new toon and duplicate their stats in the terminal, finally using the pool to duplicate their gear/looks.

Then remove this mod, and use the 'get rid of missing mods" by @sq_paradox to clean up the error messages.

It was doubly annoying as it always happened to my best Psionics...which of course is Murphy's Law AND expected as those would be the troops most likely to use this type of armor.

I've looked into this issue before and can't figure out why it happens. The issue is the OnEquip event doesn't trigger to RAISE your will by 25, but the OnUNEquip event to lower it by 25 does.

The net result is everytime this armour is put on and taken off, the unit looses 25 Will. This can end up with a soldier having max negative will, but a current score of 1 (minimum current will). The game gets confused as this state should never happen and decides the unit is shaken until recovered (which also can't happen as it can't recover from 1 to -x)

IIRC the bonus values are in the config and if you don't mind missing out on the will bonus you can set the value to 0, which effectively negates the problem.

You could also try using the Additional Soldier Console commands to fix any broken units with the "SetSelectedSoldiersStat eStat_Will ## true" command, but I've never tried that personally.

I gave up trying to figure it out. I run around 375 mods consistently.

(Bugfix/QOL/UI/Uniforms/Maps/Enemies...pretty much the gamut.) I've tried to bisect this and NOTHING shows up as a conflict either with AML or anything else that I can easily determine. The 375 work very well and the ONLY real gotchas I've come across are the ever increasing save bug and this one.

This one? The soldier is tired, gets to the point of being ready and then instead of going 'ready' they go perma-shaken. It might have something to do with whether they have that armor on in the barracks, but by that time it is too late to fix without deleting the affected trooper and just rebuilding a new toon via terminal and character pool.

This issue has happened to me in three campaigns and happens when the mod is installed. I have zero issues with perma-shaken soldiers when NOT using this mod.

I've tried loads of times, but I just can't make this bug happen on my end. So, honestly, there's not much I can do to fix it. Seems like the bug shows up when it's mingling with another mod, but I don't have a clue which one exactly.

While https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/id/ObelixDk shows as online, this mod hasn't been touched since 1/10/2020. So @Mask, I highly doubt it.
I too would like this fixed as I liked the armor, but I don't miss it...nor do I miss perma-shaken soldiers.:steammocking:

Is it fixed yet? I like this mod but it is impossible to play with. Please fix soldiers losing will and go into perma shaken status for no reason.

Just ran into this one as well. My Psionic soldier was just fine, but tired. When she should have come back to 'ready available', instead she went perma-shaken. The ONLY way to fix this as far as I can tell is to literally save the character to the character pool, dismiss her/him and then using the console give another soldier and recreate. AND THEN never use the stupid armor again. :steamfacepalm:

The fix from @SoundwaveSuperior will ONLY work if the solder hasn't been revitalized. If you have previously done that, there are only one or two missions that might work (Avenger Base defense comes to mind...but if you've already done that mission, it is scrub and remake.)

I encounter the will problem too, was searching which mods was faulty and discover it was when I unequip the psi armor to equip warden armor.

Your fix work but it is painful to keep your soldier waiting for that kind of mission...

You know that makes sense, if you can't recreate it it might be a problem with other mods (I have several installed, but I just wanted to see if it was happening to anyone else here with just this mod installed.) Thanks for the update.

i have never been able to recreate this bug on my end, and i have a feeling its due to another mod conflicting with it, but since there hasnt been a sure fire way of figuring out what mod causes it there has been no way of fixing it.. sorry to the people it has effected

Update: I have discovered a way to fix soldiers permanently shaken by the glitch!

If a soldier is shaken with negative or zero MAXIMUM will (not current, their total must be zero or negative!), and is thus shaken forever, you need to set their maximum will to a positive number via console commands (SetSoldierStat eStat_Will 50 "SoldierFirstName SoldierLastName" 1), (note this IS CASE SENSITIVE, if your soldier has random caps in their name the command MUST include them. Replace the 50 with whatever you want their new max will to be.)

THEN, after you've done that, you need to go into a mission that lets you send gravely wounded soldiers (Avenger UFO defence worked for me, chosen defence probably would too), and MAKE SURE the shaken soldiers are selected. After the mission is complete, as long as their will is still positive by the end (might want to just use killallais after running to the objective to make sure) they will be back to normal.

If you are using this mod, DO NOT UNEQUIP THE ARMOR AFTER EQUIPPING IT!

Due to a bug, the armor removes 25 will when you unequip it permanently, so if you remove it multiple times your soldier will end up with negative max will and be Shaken forever.

Using the healallsoldiers command doesn't fix it, using commands to set max will back to positive doesn't fix it, and you can't use the Hypervital Module to fix it either. As far as I am aware there is no way of making them be unshaken after their max will becomes 0.

I don’t get the psi armor after researching powered armor and psionics. Maybe another mod interferes this mod? I only get the TLP variants.
Alternatively can you make a cosmetic version only?

Something I noticed is that will doesn't go up when equipping, so changing the config didn't help much. Might be a conflict with something else but I am unsure.

Yeah I got the bug where removing the armor makes a solider perma shaken because of negaitve will. Haven't found a way to fix it, kinda sucks lol

Oh, you already said that you're playing LWotC. I can't really help there, as I don't know LWotC that well.

You should try and contact the LWotC discord // ModJam team and ask for help there.
LWotC uses a LWTemplateMods setup to make items single-build in engineering (eg the Spider Suit), this would need to be repeated for this armour.

But there should by mod tools out there to do this. Are you running LWotC or CI or Proving Ground Overhaul? .. as in .. which mod setup do you need to make this item single-build for ?

I finished this project in the proving ground and it gave me 1 armor but now i can't build more. have to do the proving ground research again. is this intentional? I know it says its a single build item like the spider armor but i can construct multiples of those. Playing on Long War of the Chosen.

If you're going to use this mod, BEWARE, if the armour is ever removed from a soldier they will lose 25 will permanently. The "Fix" did not work at all. You must edit the INI to fix it yourself
