thank you for the mod. i enjoy playing it very much. a couple of bugs to report though . some city states are not appearing , the barbarian camps are not transforming to destroyed city states , the rivers dont flood , the goody huts are not randomly distributed. i was looking around for the "The coming mod named Lord of the Rings Extra" , but could not find it :(

Is there a way to limit the tech tree up to medieval? It's weird to have a LOTR universe with guns and nukes :/

Hello JT well done with this creation, great work. If interested I would like to fund a New civ 6 lotr mod if your interested. There would only be 8 Factions to create in the mod each with 1 unique building & 5 unique units each.
Mordor,Rhun,Gondor,Rohan,elves,dwarves, Isengard & Umbar. As well as a mimic of your scenario map having forced alliances and wars along with a blank version of it with placement for max factions like a normal huge game for random fun with any civ. If interested please contact me privately for my business email. Artwork models for units would be ideal along with unique icons as well as cinematic and voiced leaders. (Will look for help if your unable to do some of these things but interested in the project). Whatever the case great work on this mod.

You are so wrong. First not every people needs a king to be a people. Second, what about the High Elves in your list of 7 kingdoms? What about Lothlorien, which was ruled by Galadriel and Celeborn. Indeed, they ruled it, so of course they can be a CIV. And there were different Orc tribes on different regions and they were ruled by certain leaders, so of course they can be a CIV. Having Mordor only for all kind of orcs in all regions of Middle Earth is nothing else than bullshit. And you forgot Rhûn and Khand in your list, they are just different regions with different people. They must be own CIVs. Would you say, Germany and France shouldn't have their own CIV, because we don't have kings and queens any more, but Spain and England is okay? Sorry, your comment is total nonsense. Go and learn more about Tolkiens Middle Earth.

I'm as much a HUGE LOTR and Hobbit fan as anyone...
Correct me if i'm wrong, their were only 7 Middle Earth Kingdoms, which would of made sense to only have 7 Civs to replicate those Kingdoms. All the different assortments of those kingdoms could of been those same kingdoms at different ages. The different ages could of been made as different times in the game. For instance, the different Orc Civs you made, all seem to use much of the same Orc units, but a few changes. So all those different Orc tribes could of been made to reflect the same Kingdom (Mordor, I believe?) at different ages. Same thing with the Elves, and the Dwarves, and humans. Instead of Ancient, Classic, Renn... could of been Age 1, age 2 etc.

Idk, it seems to have 17 Civs reflecting a make belief realm, which only had 7 Kingdoms, seems OP. Those 7 Kingdoms I'm referring to of Middle earth, Kingdom of Arnor
Kingdom of Gondor, Kingdom of Rohan, Kingdom of Dale, Kingdom of Mirkwood, Kingdom of Mordor, Kingdom of Haradrim all be Civs. The rest of the beings from Middle-earth, some of them are Lothlorien, settlement of Woodmen, an area ruled by the Beornings, Rivendell, Laketown, Bree, The Shire, Orcs of the Misty Mountains, Gray Havens of the Elves, and many many more, but not even one of these areas/societies are ruled by the king, would of all made great City States in Civ VI.

Love the mod but when i try to load the War of the Ring scenario, isn't on the list. What am I doing wrong here?

All the dependencies are downloaded and enabled, and i have no other mods to cause a conflict, this is the only mod in my game.

The base of the mod is great, it does jave some shortcomings ofc like units just being renamed and Stat changes and not model changes but sometimes that's the price we pay for free

Hey thank you for that great Mod of yours, I enjoyed it so much that I sat down with my LotR maniac of a friend and build a MP friendly Map version of it. I hope you dont mind if I upload it to the workshop as well. Btw, I think your Maps look pretty decent, but I build a ton of Maps especially for MP and have gathered a lot of tips and tricks to improve them. Soo if youre interested we could exchange some knowledge.

Don't know if its possible in Civ VI anymore, but would it be possible to place starting civs on teams? Seems silly that Gondor would be having diplomatic relations with Mordor, or Elrond and the Goblin King are being buddy-buddy. Or with the silly Civ VI method of influence, that Gondor gains disapproval from Rohon, the Elves and Dwarves for taking out Isengard or any of the other Evil Faction cities. This may be the biggest thing on my wish list.

Love what you have done with this. I have to agree with a few others that have posted, that it would be great to somehow stop the tech before Gunpowder type units. Before I make anymore comments, need to state that I know very little about programming, and have nothing but the ultimate respect for people that are able to modify games at the skill level you have demonstrated. So the changes I am suggesting, I have no idea of how difficult it would be.
Freeze the city graphics, so they never advance beyond the starting level.

I don't know if it's possible, as I haven't tried my hand at modding yet, but could one use City States for the Elves (Grey Havens, Imladris, Lothlorien, Greenwood), Dwarves (Erebor, Khazad-Dum), and Corsairs (Umbar), and Dunland and have Arnor, Gondor, Rhovanion, Angmar, Mordor, Goblins of the Misty Mountains, Harad, and Khand be the full civilizations?

I'm envisioning a scenario for the War of the Last Alliance/early 3rd age. Arnor and Gondor start with a few settlers, builders and few (but potent) units, and they start allied, with very friendly relations with the Elvish city states. Meanwhile, Mordor starts with Barad-dur and some orcs but has to rebuilt its strength. Mordor starts allied with established civs (a few cities) in Harad and Khand, with very friendly relations with Umbar.

Also, the tech tree... is there a way to just stop it before you hit gunpowder units?

hey ho, i wanted to say that i really enjoy this mod :praisesun:. i Have one question, the Dwarf and gondor walls have 60 defense but the normal Medieval Walls have 100 .... so has mordor and the other races better walls then Gondor and dwarfs

I might be missing something, but I'm having trouble disabling the original city-states. Weird to have Jerusalem pop up right next to Minas Tirith, etc. Has anyone figured out a way to only have the LOTR city-states in-game?
