Pretty sure it's abandoned now but sharing my 2 cents. Destroyer should just inflict fire, not melt the HP off at a percent/sec , Void should have the option to increase durability drain based on damage taken, Artifact of Chaos could slowly regenerate the implant, and of course Devious is not working. Also, with Artifact of the Lost now available on Crystal Isles, perhaps it could get something better. Perhaps it could induce fear to non-allied creatures within a certain radius.

A small suggestion, instead of auto-inserting the skins in the player's inventory, why not have a AE Table that allows us to craft the skin by spending the pertinent artifact? :)

Yes, I figured it would not cancel it. What I did was put on the Artifact skin, went in 3rd Person to make sure I was invisible, then walked for like 10 minutes (while crouched) till I got to a swamp and slowly moved towards a kapro and once I got in range it instantly came after me. Tried it again later while prone with a sarco and same results.

i will investigate if there is currently an issue, however, i should mention (it is said in the details above also) Devious artifact will give you invisibility and noaggro, BUT it will not cancel aggro, anything that is already aggrod will not de aggro, you must maintain being invisible and crouched to maintain noaggro

Can you fix the devious artifact effect? I tried multiple times while crouched and prone, yet dinos still aggro me (my dinos nowhere around and I am invisible on my screen). This is SP btw.

i get what your saying ive been working on my cluster for over 9 months and this mod is a core aspect of it pvp is monitored by me and my team i have the modder in my friend list i will see if i can get a response for you or if he will respond personally but i do not believe the update will be in the next week it could be quite a while depending on what is going on in the modders life all i can say for sure now till he responds to me or responds personally is to be patient for update if your pressed for time you can do what my team does on our website here

where we do mention on our mods on server page that there can be changes to mods based on if the mod can be balanced if not despite my best efforts we remove and replace in this case you may want to have a WIP on this mod if your really pressed for time and just simply say that it will be added when its updated :/ sorry i cannot be more assistance

@GamerXDevision The issue is less with overall patience, more in the realm of an extremely customized server I've been developing over the past five months and have plans to launch in June. As such, I'm not far from a point in which I will have to decide to keep or cut--and if there is no word on an update, it's going to need to be cut due to balance reasons.

Which is a shame, because the concept is extremely appealing to both my playerbase and me as an admin. But because this server is meticulously balanced, having AE in as it exists throws too much of a curveball. The next planned update to the mod is to enable effect strength configuration on a per-artifact basis, so this is a required update for this mod to exist on this server.

So I guess to clarify, my knocking below wasn't of impatience, but of desire to hear something from the developer, as that will ultimately decide how artifacts are used/what they mean to the playerbase of the server (with traditional uses disabled).

@Luthe he does plan on an update but it is something we much be patient with he is very busy with real life stuff but im pretty sure once he has a bit of time he will update it he has many plans for it he is going to add :) hope this helps

thanks PHYRIST i really appreciate your mod its become one of my main top mods for my servers :) if you check website i hope you like how we worded it we do not want to make profit off your mod infact we even say in our website that all content that is mod related the credit goes out to them and if they like a mods content that we have on our server to donate and support them personally on their mod page we ask only for support on the stuff we managed aka server rates and to increase server population later on the server is free to play! nobody is forced to support us unless they just want a server population increase to play with friends etc :D

i will be returning to development on this soon, ive been revisiting my old mods and adding extinction content to them one by one ever since the dev kit update got released, thank you for finding several of the bugs i havent fixed - i believe i fixed most if not everything - when i do make an update with the extinction artifacts i will have a full list of changes/fixes

hey phyrist i may have found a new bug idk if its just on ragnarok or not ragnarok has been a bit glitchy with mods lately ACM is glitchy as hell on ragnarok all of a sudden BUT back to issue the artifact of the devious with the optical invisibility buff when i use it i have infinit stamina like it dont even drain but when i unequip it i lose stamina when i sprint requiping the same artifact makes stamina not drain when sprinting also when worn and crouched it makes you invisible but only on my screen some tribe members say they can still see me crouched not invisible as well as im not sure if this is bug but when not crouched dinos wont attack you while standing up unless attacked first not sure if it is intended for crouched or not anyways hope this helps out detail wise :D

This patch-update doesnt have any new features,bugfixes or balancing, i will return to fixing some of the existing stuff it just didnt make it this round,this time i did some condensing and structuring in my graph in the AE so it should run a little smoother

@phyrist agreed i wish i could mod but as of right now most my time goes to website management hosting server and updating server when needed and my job which is long and tiring lol i hardly have the time to play i try to play maybe 2 hours a day rest of it is simply website and server management but i will see if i can post idea on discord :D

Your responses make sense. Clears up the concerns behind question 1. As for question 2, Maybe only a few more artifacts to have a group buff, or even ONLY the one you ride. EG Artifact of the Immune whilst riding a Megalodon to stop jellyfish from stunlocking, similar traits of the Bailasaurus or Clever to help train up the dino you're currently grinding to level up? Only Artifacts that aren't stupid or that doesn't make sense.

Alternatively, I guess you could make the same AE offhand but as a Dinosaur Costume? To equip them to dinosaurs? Give fliers a higher stamina regen to take off quicker, Clever to make them level up faster, Immune to stop them being liable to status effects etc etc. Just an Idea :D

1) its kinda the idea behind it, you need the vanilla artifacts to get the ability, i had to use skins because you cant equip an unmodded artifact or skin it to an item.. so you need the actual artifacts to keep the ability, removing the artifact loses the skin and ability and unequips the AE so you can use a different skin quickly,i did not want to have the skins usable on their own

2)i could probably add the XP buff to dinos in range like i did with the Pack healing, but i did not do it for all of the artifact abilities specifically because i wanted the Player to get the ability and not the mount, i let Pack have the healing ability because of its Namesake, Pack implies the ability to help your teammates, and thats why i chose Devious to only apply the invivbility to iteslf because of the artifacts description implying a selfish intent

Mod is a pretty good idea. Giving artifacts unique abilities for users who obtain them. May I recommend something?

1. Not require the real artifact in the player's inventory. Removing the artifact from your inventory gets rid of the skin, even if it's applied to your AEOffhand but I think it should stay to the offhand item when you remove the artifact, but it loses it's assigned artifact when you drop the offhand?

2.Could some artifacts be applied to the mount you're currently on? Eg: Wielding the Artifact of the Clever, the double XP spreads to the dino you're riding. Make it apply to almost all the artifacts (as some might not be able to be passed to mounts)

All in all, lovely mod. For players like me who don't 100% care about farming for bosses, we can use the artifacts to boost our ability to do things.

hey man modding is super fun, i enjoy it more than playing the actual game, if you got some good ideas you could download the dev kit and make em happen theres lots of good tutorials these days.. the pedestal idea would be interesting to implement in this.. if you have discord message about the idea on there

I believe i fixed everything you mentioned:
*Brute has dropped its damage buff
*Strong has been nerfed* (lol) to 5x player melee damage
*Immune should now protect against poison wyvern gas damage
*minus the steadyaim as i wasnt able to reproduce that, maybe i should rephrase what it actually is..(from the shadow steak saute buff) its Weapon Recoil Reduction... technically not the sway of the bow, are you seeing recoil reduction go back to normal randomly?

im cooking a patch update and it should be live in a couple hrs

sort of like that :D you are awsome phyrist and yes sort of like a totem that can be placed but not necessarily controllable like hmm... how do i describe it there is a mod called dragon punk magic nexus that has a summonable dino raptor when you press the "spell" it summons it in front of you with a cooldown on it the spell stays in your actionbar but cant be used again till cooldown ends i was thinking it would be cool to have a totem system like that either to transform artifacts or a entirely new mod itself to make totems out of some statue model or artifact that has a cooldown perhaps even make it to where it has a cooldown with other totems where only one can be up at a time and casting another despells the other lol im rambling just never had anybody sound interested in this idea some friends did but none of us can mod your mod here made me remember this totem idea and i had to bring it up :D

Shadows basically uses a modified ShadowSteakSaute buff, i increased the nightvision value and cut out the 3min cutoff. I dont remember changing the steadyAim part of it... Though ill definitely take a look into it.

Lol awesome glad to hear you like it, i was frustrated that artifacts only could be used in a displaycase or a bossbattle so i made this based off someones idea in the survivetheark forums.. Are you talkin about having... A totem.. Like the vanilla artifact pedestal that does all the custom buffs the AE does? Yeah its doable to make a placeable structure like that, i almost did that in the begining lol i went with the offhand slot Implant because i thought mobility would be preferred

anyways phyrist i absolutely love this mod my tribe is roleplaying as shamans lmao they love the mod im not sure if your interested but if you ever complete this mod to 100% completion or as a side project i was wondering if you would consider a form of like totem placement mod an example would be like how world of warcraft shamans did they could drop a totem that would heal damage or buff etc for a short time or untill destroyed im unsure how to do it and i have so little time id give anything to make a mod like it but i cant learn the dev kit just no time these days work is killing me lmao just an idea maybe as a side project or if this mod gets 100% complete just a thought :) i searched but never found a mod like it is why i ask

lol i like the damage it just worries me when it comes to damage that can 2 shot something that powerful lol but i do like it and i seem to have encountered an issue with artifact of the shadows but it is a little tricky to reproduce with a normal bow it works with stopping the shaky look because of its steady aim but somehow at some point even with artifact equiped it somehow stopped giving me steady aim my bow was shaking again when fully drawn i tried to unequip artifact and requip to no avail it still was shaking but logging out and back in fixed it im sort of puzzled as to what caused it to stop steady aim :/ still trying to figure it out

yeah, it was my early attempts at Brute, 10x melee + 10x damage resistance but i later changed my mind and went with a stam and HP buff i just forgot to disable the other bits, done for the next update.

Strong... might be overkill... but i wanted massive increase in playermelee, i suppose it is too much so ill lower it a bit... if you tried punching a dodo youd probably kill yourself - was my rational.. youd get around that with tools i guess lol

O.O the damage numbers on the artifact of the strong the damage is so high lmao not bad though with an ascendant pick that does 180 damage to a bronto with the artifact equiped does 79000 damage to a level 100 bronto its not bad but i could see it abused on pvp servers and the like if it effects players and their tames

found another bug with the brute artifact says it only increases health and stamina but it also increases melee damage by alot till unequiped then goes back to normal i will keep testing for bugs :)

I cannot seem to replicate the issue youre having, all of my tests show that devious is working as intended, the compilation picture at the top of the workshop page shows that Devious (4th from the left) doesnt do cammo when uncrouched and that picture is from the latest version.. Try removing the mod folder and redownloading

Ahh I didn't think about the XP one in particular, yeah Idk how what would work with offline players that are unstasised. I guess offline players don't generate passive xp or tribe shared, though.. Idk lol fair enough I just noticed it today when I hopped on. :p
Really enjoying this mod btw, has given us incentive to go back for artifacts we haven't needed in quite awhile just for the buffs.

Ive created a Feature Request discussion, adding a SaveBuffOnRestart option might be worth looking into for certain skins.. I understand not all of the buffs could be abused. Any other good ideas toss em up in that topic and ill review them

Thats the original intention yeah i didnt want them to save on server reboot or character log off.. Mostly cause i imagined a logged off player having AE equipped and recieving the buff indefinitely for example logging out and continue gaining xp, or the destroyer skin etc..

Is it intended for the skin's buffs to not save through server restarts? Wasn't sure if there could be a reason for them to not, but would be a small QOL thing if they could without causing issues. :)

Paul_Robinson, i recently had that issue where it said i needed to log in, i fixed it by closing steam and reopening it, its not this mod itself, as ive just subscribed with no issues

Its because Steam didnt like that the pics i posted originally of the Human Survivor didnt have armor on.. They Thought it was age inappropriate, ive since reuploaded the pics with armor.. And the notice appears to have gone away.

To anyone having issues downloading or subscribing like @paul_robinson i also noticed that the filesize is 0mb ever since the pictures were blurred. It wasnt 0mb when i uploaded it. i am working on an iniconfig that will disable specific skins if the admin/owner doesn't like the ability.. So when i upload the patch for the ini config it should fix the 0mb thing..

im not sure either, is it just this mod or all of mine? i havent blocked you, if you were blocked youd not have been able to comment and you would still be able to download it.. ive noticed that Steam didnt like the pictures i posted saying they were age inappropriate so ill have to reupload them, i highly doubt thats whats giving you an error...shot in the dark.. do you have SteamGuard Authentication?

I have no idea of what is wrong with your mods but they will not allow me to subscribe to them. It goes to check my account info and I get an error sayinf I am not logged in even though I am.
