Cool!

Oh that's the solution, I play unintended, bit janky; but you can climb the funnel with 1 block elevation. And the texture for that popped surface that is supposed to be blue is missing so it end up black for me and that threw me off for a while.

A more interesting solution would be landing the bounce gel on the ramp and flining into the funnel

The whole series of Tornate chambers are really awesome, and so well designed. I especially enjoyed this one: Forgotten. I had fun redirecting my funnel in order to get to the exit.

Hello reepblue. I really want to add you of my friend list ! :)

I thought I was clever bypassing the orange funnel, but I see others have done it in two different ways. You don't have to land on the platform to use the portal surface, you can also be directly above it and it will take a portal. Regardless, a terrific map.

Nicely done. Great brain teaser and fun!

thanks for the map. you actually don't need the beam reverter. might be a bit hacky, but you can setup the tractor beam midair to get you to the exit.

!!About the platform!!:

When I first made this map back in May of 2011, This map had a lot of gameplay issues and hence it was not shipped with the first three maps of the series. Fast forward to June of 2013, and I was able to fix most of the gameplay issues, adjusting the map accordingly.

For the past few months, I've been trying to figure out a soultion for the platform if you were to Portal bump. Originally, the platform was not raised up, and it was a 'quick fix' before shippment. Pretty much, portal bumping is not a vaild soultion anyway, and there is no other way to make a fix for this issue without taking everything apart again. It's not worth it just to block a ninja move that pretty much 80% of first try-ers will do, and then complain it's too easy because they can portal bump. . Keep in mind this map was more of a revival project then anything.

Thanks for your feedback,
~reepblue.

Oh, and looking forward to seeing more tests that feature this paint cleanser! It's amazing!
The Sojourner 7 Sep, 2013 @ 12:34am
Nice test. The only problem I have is the one portalable checkered surface is not portalable until you reach the platform (and nothing changes visually to indicate this).

Good map, the paint cleanser was quite interesting but being able to fire through it was confusing at first. I didn't like the portal surface that "magically" becomes portalable after you land there.

The paint cleanser was another quite awesome puzzle element. Puzzles would be harder if using this new concept.

Nice map i liked it i found no glitches but i don't understand with platform when i didn't jump on it i can't make portal on it after i go on it i can make portal wtf ?!?!

There is way too much orange gel being dropped at one time. It caused quite a bit of lag on my machine. Also I was able to skip the cube button that reversed the funnel because I caught the blue gel on the edge of the paint fizzer without it being stopped and jumped onto the platform with the laser.

Try my map? People say it is hard.

Really goot test using paint fizzler ^^ It made me think a moment, anyway I didn't use the top white surface to make the first jump and I never used the cube button to reverse the funnel...

If you have a moment, feel free to try some maps in my workshop ;)

It took me quite a long time to figure this one out. But it was totally totally awesome :p2turret:

I think I found an unintended soloution and a way to get stuck: I used the funnel to get to the end door and you can also use it to get to the other side whithout using gel. Also, the orange gel dropper turns off at some stage, and you can colour the ramp with blue gel, so, I used the funnel instead.

wow... just watched your solution... way more involed that the way I solved.. :-) I never reversed funnel.. and never got blue paint on the other side of the paint fizzler.. grat map though.. thanks for your effort.. it was fun. :-)

Nicely done. Had me a bit confused at first, but then everything clicked perfectly. I solved it what I believe was the intended way of doing so my first run, then looking back and running it again (I'm sure you've been told this already) that the button near the entrance that reverses the funnel's pull isn't needed to solve the chamber which actually seemed like a better, more intricate way of solving the chamber. However, I guess if you don't how to use the funnel to wall climb then it'd seem impossible.

As always, great map, and great design. Thanks for making! :)

I'm also pretty sure the solution I used was... unintentional. :P
Requiemsoul 9 Jun, 2013 @ 4:59am
Very cool!
Reepblue  [author] 8 Jun, 2013 @ 11:56pm
@Sloth.ps Yep that's why. :)
Sloth.ps 8 Jun, 2013 @ 11:53pm
I assume the cube pad at the beginning reverses the beam polarity? I don't remember using that at all in my playthrough, which would explain why it seemed so hard :)
Reepblue  [author] 8 Jun, 2013 @ 11:49pm
@Sloth.ps Thanks.

All though possible the intended soultion was not to go in the tractor beam at the end or at all. Hence why it was "unnecessarily hard". I'm aware that the tractor beam crosses but if the proplusion gel can get on the ramp, the crossing actually discourages players using the tractor beam and cuts wait time when you use the polarity.

I'm glad you enjoyed it tho. Thanks.
Sloth.ps 8 Jun, 2013 @ 11:33pm
Pretty much a perfect puzzle. Very creative use of inventive new elements.

I found jumping into the tractor beam at the end was more luck than judgement, and felt a little bit like it was unnecessarily hard. I also found that the propulsion gel tended to get stuck where the tractor beams cross which is just something to do with the way they're coded, I think. They can be adjusted slightly to avoid the problem.

Overall, though, a fantastic map.
