I highly doubt I will ever make it, I didn't even save it. But if you want to you are more than welcome to try to recreate that.

@Smokki Haha, well, even ugly ships are beautiful. :) Is that modified version likely to be released as a workshop item? Not trying to pressure you, only curious. :)

@Gasboy It sure is :) . While I was making those screenshots, I didn't have a ship to properly showcase those thrusters, so I modified the MCS64 a little bit for that purpose. It may look good on that screenshots but believe me, it was made looking good only from that angle :D

Unless I am mistaken I just lost a scrap race because the rust front end of a Hermes dropped on me. So sad to see, but a hell of a lot of fun playing "spot that ship/rover" :p

I did a little upgrading (put in showers, toilets, beds etc from the DLC where there was already clear indication for them to go). and mostly left the programable stuff and the LCDs alone. Too complex for me. Considered changing the plumbing a little but figured I would save that for another time. :D

Oh and had to refit the Hanger slightly to carry the two Rovers from mars to use in Lost Colony.

I just don't see enough nice ships that are this sort of nice easy to use versatile size, and the dedicated support vehicles included (to say nothing of your over stuff which all goes together so well) really raises it to top tier in my book.
Brilliant job.

@ArterialSpray1066 Wow, that's really nice to hear, especially considering how much fixing this ship could use. Feel free to modify the ship as much as you like to get rid of some problems it may have.

Despite the obvious update issues (with the screens and some problems which may be my own ineptitude with loading and unloading the cargo/Rovers) I adore this ship. And playing with a well designed RP friendly ship and rovers designed to work together well, rather than constantly cobbling things together is a fun change.

Combined the "Carcosa Valley", This ship's mission, and "Lost Colony" into a really fun 3 part campaign, and some of the most fun I've had in SE. Many many thanks for that. :p

Thank you! I always feel like the game could use more immersive and manual way of handling things like cargo and I'm quite happy how it works, even if it's a bit overcomplicated for standard gameplay :)

Yeah, your airlock script is really nice. I only wish the game could support depressurizing to matching level with outside pressure, as airlock tanks will get filled eventually while cycling the airlock in alien planet for example. But that's something I guess can't be done at the moment. I hope Keen will adress that small oversight now that they are reworking the airtightness.

Love the ship! I really enjoy the cargo modules concept rather than just conveyor hookups. Fun for RP.

Yeah, I'll be careful with the ramp in the future. And I probably will do some retrofitting. Add parachutes, change the lighting color somewhat, redo some of the software, and maybe alter the defensive armaments. Bring the whole thing up to ASA/ATC/CCC safety standards and all that. Should be a fun project.

That boarding ramp breaking is again thanks to Keen fiddling with the fragility of blocks, I don't think changing it to heavy armor would help much as everything just explodes these days if you so much as to touch the ground.

I'll change the boarding ramp rotor speed a bit lower. But I strongly advice to open the boarding ramp before landing and locking the landing gears.

I have nothing really against Blarg's aggressive airlocks as I used to use it myself, but for some reason it's just beeing acting strange lately. Anyway, the airlock script has been updated. Seems to be working without problems so far and as a bonus, O2H2 generators are now on without filling the airlock oxygen tanks (they turn off only when cycling airlock).

And feel free to retrofit the ship with parachutes :D

I like parachutes because:
1) I'm a nerd, and I believe in redundant systems.
2) I'm not a great pilot, and I always worry I'm going to fall out of the sky.

Although, I haven't needed 'chutes. The Hermes flies remarkable well. I was flying from Earth to the moon, and some time after leaving Earth's atmosphere, while still in the gravity field, I ran out of H2 (turns out the generators were off). I decided this was a good time to adjust my burn direction and point the ship moonwards. It was very cool.
And now the ship's airlock computer's running something better than XP? Awesome.

I'm not the biggest fan of parachutes in big ships :D. Good thing you reminded me about airlocks! That current script has been updated so much, that all of the problems should be resolved. I'll update it later today.

I tried pretty much all off the airlock scripts for this ship (and before for the printing facility), but non of them worked even remotely as good as this one.

@Adyne, if you're doing singleplayer, I'd reccomend turning off trash removal entirely (using alt-f10 > trash removal settings > disable).
If your game starts lagging due to floating junk, use the alt-f10 entity list to remove junk manualy.
