@Das UberKommando Necropost reply, but anyways: No, Combine soldiers in Half Life 2 are human volunteers or conscripts. The Combine isn't just an alien race, it's an alien collective.

P.S Not pain as in human suffering of OTHERS, it's just that they feel (albeit reduced, possibly so they don't lose effectiveness in combat) pain whenever they get shot, burned, slapped with a bar of crows, etc.

+specky +Bashar al-Assad Metrocops are non-synth (which means they aren't modified in any way), but are working either for benefits, to protect themselves and their family, or because they get to live out their sadistic dreams. But yes, Combine SOLDIERS are synths who are basically brain dead except for a whole bunch of military training. Oh, and pain. They can still feel pain.

+Donner and Blitz No, actually they are humans in the suits and are slaves / volunteering soliders for the Combine, donning suits that make them appear like they have no humanity and therefore coming across as more intimidating, you do know that, right? ... lol.

@Animations Seen Thanks. Also, for the help (means for everyone that reads this comment) download SubMaterial. In gmod, copy the hair and the face texture of jessica and apply it to the combine assassin. Now, copy it with the duplicator and save the dupe. Then you have it!

just like terra th npc keeps doing the T pose and doesnt move...oh and the missing head texture? i gave up on it...cant fix it without a good explanation...but ill try

and now that i have got extended spawnmenu her eyes are all BLACK T_T

if there is an NPC for this it is not working it just stands there with its arms out or this could be the model manipulator one i made but i dont think thats what it is

this file is ZIP, unpack and the copy the "Combine assassin" folder into the steam/steammapps/common/GarrysMod/garrysmod/addons folder. This way is the(old)manualy addon installer. In the gmod go the spawnlist and search the "Legacy Addons".
Now i tested and it worked without any problems!

and i think, (i may be wrong) i think if you download the extended spawn menu it might have something in there to fix the T pose i have no clue =P

the 2 maps are City 17 and Black Mesa Sigma and it says requirement in the desctription why arent people just clicking that and downloading the texture

why is this JUST a ragdoll, it would have been easy to make the model a playermodel/NPC with the combine AI
