@Iridar thanks for explaining. So I assume that means that ANY weapon adding mod I have whether cosmetic or actual weapons, they will end up showing up as an option in the skins list?

No, WSR wouldn't have anything to do with it. You see multiple skins because they are different weapons under the hood. E.g. it's an issue with your mod list. Most likely you have a ghost templates mod and a mod add non-ghost templates of those weapons.

Greetings Iridar, been loving alot of your mods lately and I appreciate all the work you've done!

Quick question, if you may know why I'm seeing my "Ghost Templates" in the Skin list, but most of them are showing 2-3 duplicates of one another. Do you think it has anything to do with running this mod and your X-Skin mod? Only thing I could thing of, and not a deal break, just makes the list twice as long and a pain to scroll through in game.

I feel like I'm lacking context for the question you're asking, but yes, Cannon Animation Redux replaces weapon animations, so I wouldn't be surprised if something goes wrong when another mod also tries to replace something about the weapons.

Iridar, it seems that Laser/Coil Cannon animation issues (No barrel rotation) may be caused by Musashi's Cannon Animation Redux mod. Could it be entirely possible that if the beam cannon is changed to Coil cannon via WSR, Musashi's mod still thinks that Coil cannon is still beam cannon? That would explain why Laser cannon (which replaced tier 2 weapon) would still use Magnetic weapon animation.

Downloaded this mod and I keep getting an error on startup: "Error loading WOTC_SORemoveDE" Tracked it down to this mod, I think. I could be wrong, however.

Hi Iridar, I could not find in which mod of yours I did post, but you were right, the xskin mod conflicts with yours and make your option "reskin weapon" on the UI disapear.

Can the AIM stat also be negative?
Would like to have it so it's harder to aim the weapon as a drawback against it doing more dmg compared to a vanilla weapon.

Likely to be some other mod with WSR configs that is setting the Upgrade Slots.
Those configs would only become active when WSR core is subbed, as the core itself is only framework and has zero gameplay alterations with a valid config.

Why is WSR screwing up my Item-/Weapon Upgrade slots?

Without WSR the Slots are just as I set them up in WIO and Configure Upgrade Slots. But as soon as I add WSR Core it doesn't matter, what WIO and CUS - or any other mod, like yourown Autopistol overhaul for that mater - say: Items, that shouldn't have any Upgrade Slots have one, Weapons that should have 3 only have one etc.

Why is WSR Core impacting Upgrade Slots to begin with?
I'm not complaning, I am simply flabbergasted and asking for help/advice.

Asssuming the blue projectiles mod replaces the projectiles of existing weapons, you have to use WSR to copy the projectile from one of those weapons to the rotary cannon you mentioned.

I have read it over Iridar. But I’m not sure if I understand, I know the weapons I want to have the effect but I’m not sure I grasp what to type down for it. I’m sure you’ve already heard of the Clone Weaponry mod with the Z6 Rotary cannon, I want the weapons in it to fire like the Advent weapons projectiles but in blue. There is a mod that has the projectile in question but I’m not sure how to get the two to merge properly. Any Tips or help would be appreciated greatly.

Hello Iridar! Huge fan of your akimbo class and anything you’ve done! I’ve been wondering on how to perform this little tweak I was researching and figured getting your opinion on the subject. But how do I go from having a mod weapon I use to use the color and firing as of another. I’m trying to do the Planetside weapon mods to fire the energy rounds of the advent blue magnetic FX. How do I go on performing this change?

The flashlight model is cosmetic, the beam of light is created by a particle effect played on the weapon. WSR currently cannot modify that property.

Is there a way to add functional flashlights to advent guns with this? I was hoping just creating a new socket and adding a flashlight attachment would do the trick, but while the flashlight model appears, there's no light effect.

I'd use the Advent Flashlights mod but that seems to override all advent-related WSR scripts with its own stuff.

Hi Iridar. Thanks for your mods. For some reason the changes in the config file don't show up anymore. I hav a lot of mods running could that be the reason? In particular it's the GIVE ABILITY that is not working. Some junk in the file as I just switched from LWOTC (where I had the same problem). Any Ideas?

Anyone know a way to replace the basic rifles with another design? Unmodded, attachments wise, I just want to make them lasrifles to begin with but I'm unsure I know how to do that because my brain is unreliable even after reading the description.

Thanks, everything's working now and I definitely see what you mean. Will have a play around with it, see if I can copy some stuff from the existing grenade launcher.

If anyone else is curious, this is what made it show up for me:

+CHANGE_TEMPLATE=(TEMPLATE=NAMEHERE, SET_INVENTORY_SLOT=eInvSlot_SecondaryWeapon, SET_WEAPON_CAT=grenade_launcher)

Keep in mind that you'll get a weapon that has its own Fire and Overwatch commands, and uses the primary weapon position on the character. Oh, and if you fire a grenade with it you launch the entire gun out of your primary weapon, apparently.

"grenade_launcher" is the correct category, but you also need to specify secondary weapon inventory slot.

If you're thinking about doing something like "secondary primaries", then it would take a bit more effort than just equipping that weapon into the secondary slot.

(with a variety of types, tried shoulder_launcher/grenade_launcher/grenade/utility/heavy)

Is there a way to put a weapon into the vanilla grenade launcher slot? Tried the weapon categories I could find in XComGameData, but no luck so far. (fresh campaigns, other category changes do work)

Yes, you can, read the documentation.
Though Suppression specifically needs to be added to their weapons, not units themselves, otherwise it won't work properly. You would also probably need to modify their AI so they actually use it. For this specific task it's better to use some other mod that specifically adds suppression to more enemy units, something like that was used on Operators vs Aliens collection, I think.

You are talking about XSkin, not this mod.

I thought I already fixed that yesterday. Try unsubscribing and resubscribing to XSkin to make sure you're using the latest version. Keep the game and launchers closed while you do this.

Last time I used this, I had no issues whatsoever. However, the reskin weapon button now displays nothing other than Weapon Scale; no toggles on the bottom nor options on the left. When I am sliding the Weapon Scale bar, the toggles and options temporarily appear, but disappear again as soon as I stop interacting with the Weapon Scale bar. Any ideas on what can be causing this?

Sorry to hear that, but I don't see why are you reporting to this to me? If textures are missing then textures are missing, what do you expect me to do about it? Make sure you're subbed to all the required mods or validate assets or something.

Maybe I dont have something installed properly or setup right, but the conventional weapons when I start a new campaign have a white and purple texture over them as if they are not properly textured.

Edit: I just unsubbed & resubbed, starting with underbarrel attachments, and did not get the error. It's a new start so I can't yet upgrade equipment to test it. Still wondering about the zzz prefix though!

@Iridar I just did a WOTC reinstall (after playing LWOTC for awhile), reinstalled all my favorite mods, and for this one I'm getting a Mod Configuration Error - "zzzWeaponSkinReplacer wants to run before WOTCUnderbarrelAttachments. zzz... is in group RUN_LAST and WOTC... is in group RUN_STANDARD, so zzz... will never run before WOTC... "

"This bevavior is specified, but may indicate a configuration error."

The fact this has a zzz prefix make me leery in the first place. Is this mod obsolete?
