And although I'm not sure what mod caused it, Eyesocket seems out of place...because "The Eye" is not where eyesocket is according to memory (was more south of Heng iirc)

Noteably, it will work with Map Mods that adds in-game Item Maps (e.g. the "Books" you can purchase from traders), like my Easier Maps mod, since they use a different texture layer (for the icons)

No, two map mods will simply override each other, whichever is lower int he load order will be used.

work whit Nice map?
iamzid 24 Sep, 2020 @ 4:03pm
based on how the other mod names were typed I was able to manually add it into the mods config file. that solved the problem for me. I had the same problem with a bow training mod also and solved it the same way. it's a problem with the mods.cfg file not updating after subscribing.
Shidan  [author] 24 Sep, 2020 @ 9:37am
May be a workshop related problem. Doesn't seem like it's downloading the mod after subscribing. Will have to investigate it.

Happens to me too, and i used this mod a very long time. NO idea...

i subscribed to this mod, but the mod doesn't show up in game or in my mods.cfg file. how strange! 🙃 any idea's as to why that might be?

Hey Shidan, any plans for more versions of this map? This map style is my favourite but I've been using '' Nice Map '' because it adds a grid system and shows the roads on the map, which is SUPER useful for 1. remembering locations and 2. travelling long distances, as your guys tend to get stuck less when you know exactly where the roads are.

Thanks for this! I was using the one with colour and this helps see the landscape a lot better.
Tenkula 9 Feb, 2019 @ 1:45am
I added this to my collection

Ahh, so it's more of an engine limitation than a deliberate choice by the developer. But yeah, I'm already excited for their new project, and hope that they will take less than 15 years for it. Otherwise it's likely that my kids will play it before me :D
Shidan  [author] 30 Jan, 2019 @ 8:09pm
It's not like he chose to make more complex mods impossible, it's just a consequence of various decisions along the way. The systems the game is built on simply aren't made for easy modification. Working with 12+ year old engines and systems leaves its mark. We're lucky they added the FCS and all of its uses at all.

Hopefully they'll keep the modding community in mind with their next project, now that they have the freedom of modern engines to select from to use as a base this time around. :)
Yolo$wagger 30 Jan, 2019 @ 7:40pm
Ahh, that's too bad, since the map is really beautiful, but I dont want it to spoil the fun of exploring new zones for myself.

Has the dev ever stated why he made the game so modding-resistant? Kenshi is honestly a prime candidate for extensive modding: a game with a very solid foundation, but with a lack of content and depth.
Shidan  [author] 30 Jan, 2019 @ 6:44pm
No, we don't have access to that level of coding unfortunately. This one only works cause it's a straight override of the map graphic.
Yolo$wagger 30 Jan, 2019 @ 6:08pm
Any way for this map to only show zones that you have already discovered?
Jswars 22 Jan, 2019 @ 4:17am
Best map mod, there are fancier map mods around but the zone writings arent readable. This one is goooood!
Shidan  [author] 7 Jan, 2019 @ 8:20pm
No, this mod is a simple image swap, and we don't have the tools to do anything more camplex.
davoto 7 Jan, 2019 @ 8:08pm
is it possible to add "fog of war"? Better yet, have buyable maps the reveal sections of the map.
-shhfiftyfive 7 Jan, 2019 @ 8:55am
oh yeah, too bad it doesn't have all the locations revealed on there. gotta open 2 versions separate. shrug
Shidan  [author] 7 Jan, 2019 @ 8:44am
Wiki has it, I originally made it for the wiki, and then as an after thought made a mod out of it. :P

-shhfiftyfive 7 Jan, 2019 @ 7:03am
the wiki or somewhere out of game really deserves a map like this
-shhfiftyfive 7 Jan, 2019 @ 7:02am
any chance you could do a high resolution version of this and attach the file to the mod folder or post a link to it here? i'd like to use it outside the game if possible.

This is a must have. Thank you very much.

While the borders are only approximate, this is a deceptively simple high-quality addition.

Can't imagine running around Kenshi's world without this mod.

Thank you.
Setari 23 Dec, 2018 @ 3:04pm
I'd kill for an in-game city map instead.

It's working, It's working! Now you can see the random enemy camps that spawn on the map. :steamhappy:
Shidan  [author] 30 Oct, 2018 @ 9:38am
Apologies, IRL got in the way the first time you asked, so I couldn't do it right away. And then I completely forgot about it. :P

Updated it now, let me know what you think. :)
Animecore 30 Oct, 2018 @ 3:18am
Guessing there won't be a transparent textual mod for this?
It's a great mod, just the text blankets the actual map, and you can't see enemy camps that pop up randomly sometimes. If the text was in ghostly white color, this wouldn't be an issue.
VisionaryWizard 21 Oct, 2018 @ 11:42pm
Issah hit shift plus f12 and turn on the roads under the navmesh tab, pause the game and scroll around the map and take a look. If you really want to make your own map of the roads. There are a ton of them and it would be complicated and time consuming, many of the roads have major errors i think theres some 1200 or 12000 errors last i checked? so i dont think all of them are used by npcs, you can add your own as well i add one to my base whenever i establish a base during a new game so that npc traders show up and my characters dont take weird routes when im not personally moving them around. (though they still do like running into roads that dead end and back out of them over and over im sure youve seen this is you pay attention on long walks, it gets annoying).
Animecore 7 Oct, 2018 @ 4:54pm
I started a discussion for improving this mod after using it, I hope the author reads it.

-whips you- walk modder walk! mwhahaha
Lawh 29 Sep, 2018 @ 12:50pm
You can painstaikingly walk all the roads and draw them as you go :D

This is a good mod, thanks matey.
Shidan  [author] 28 Sep, 2018 @ 5:49pm
Unfortunately that is not particularly possible for a modder to do. Unlike biomes, the road system isn't shown in a simple file that could be turned into a map. Otherwise, I would have one. :(
Redeye 28 Sep, 2018 @ 5:45pm
I want someone to show where t he major roads are :(
PeteStreet 28 Sep, 2018 @ 3:47pm
havent been able to play since the game outgrew my laptop and unfortunately i have a mac desktop, but i am incredibly pumped to play this full map once i upgrade!!

Love it. Too bad UI mods don't work for me. Will just have to overwrite the regular map.
