according to what I have seen this has been abandoned, weak and weird because he had plenty of followers, probably got drunk.

I can't find processed wheat plants in the list. please update it, this should be first priority. If you did and did something tricky or for no reason please contact me, thank you.

just wondering does this mod work with the mod 【ZP】Japanese bread - 【ZP】Rice cultivating civilization【1.0】 mainly the second one since the first i think has its own weat and flour so on i think.
Paladin 25 Dec, 2019 @ 9:37pm
I have made a patch for this mod based on Plurples suggestions, except eating time. Ypu may check it here https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1946978368
Mr-Bandit 24 Oct, 2019 @ 11:04pm
@Kajin - me too! though i think they eat bread, cake is only eaten by pets! pawns will not touch! i know it is on the list of foods they are allowed to eat and still won't touch em!
Atwood 22 Oct, 2019 @ 1:33pm
I've been enjoying this mod so far, but I've noticed that my pawns don't seem to give wheat products priority when it comes to considering their food options. In most cases they don't even seem to consider my baked bread and hardtack to even *be* food, and will only eat it if I force them to. Even worse, it's the only food I have available at the moment and it's not registering as a food item *at all* for pawns that are hospitalized, so my injured pawns are being left to starve.

One more huge bug is the interaction of flour and hopper. I am guessing that since flour got its own category as process raw food, flour is not allowed to be use for nutrient paste, therefore pawn will try to remove the flour from the hoppers if the hopper is ever filled with flours. However, it is possible to set the hopper storage with flour included. This will make pawns try to put flour into hopper and removing flour at the same time, which will resulting game pausing. That's how the game being coded, when the game cannot determine what to do, it will pause. It is usually due to pawn try to do 2 things at the same time(in this case), or trying to do something while not being capable(eg: try to attack, but no arms). This should either be fixed by no possibility to set the hopper storage with flour, or put a statement on flour's info, or just remove the mechanics of pawn want to remove flour from hopper. It took me a while to find out what's randomly pausing the game.

I feel like this is a cool mod, with a lot of small issue makes it not worth for going through the troubles like other mentioned. Otherwise, this is super good for medieval/tribal play through, before you start researching electricity or just never need to. I also feel like straw needs a buff though. Vanilla Hay spoiled in 1 yr(60 days) anyways, I never really fridge my hay. I just put them under a roof. There are way enough time to grow another batch of them if they ever spoiled. Oh well, on record this mod author doesn't really respond to opinion, I wonder if he will ever see our suggestion. At least fix the animal feeding, food priority and cake recreation issue. Those are really root problem for a food mod.

Also, this mod needs a bit balanced imo. It produced as much food as corn with a very fast extra steps. On top of also having hay. Either increase the work amount or decrease the yield I think. The only balance part is prob that these doesn't grow in hydro.
Gungnier 18 Jul, 2019 @ 3:18pm
It would be nice to allow animal training with some of the added foods.
Mr-Bandit 30 Jun, 2019 @ 5:03am
pawns wont seem to eat cake, they just leave it to sit there, has anyone else had this issue??
Plurples 8 Jun, 2019 @ 12:35pm
Hardtack currently has lower eating priority then nutrient paste, and bread is lower then jelly, berries and pemmican.
I suggest changing optimalityOffset:
Hardtack: -5 ===> 40 (still lower then jelly/berries/pemmican but better then nutrient paste)
Bread: -2 ===> 14 (2 less then simple meals, pawns won't walk far to get simple meal instead of bread)
I also changed hardtack eating time to 2000 ticks(4x normal), I don't think there's any need to remove the mood penalty, hardtack is already very good and this isn't much of a nerf.
Also wheat crop is a bit too good compared to other crops, it should have at least 12 days growing time with current nutrition.

One more update going out to mod authors of the universal fermenter: I made an update to the DLL to fix the problem with the full graphic not showing if you save and reload while the building is full. You can snatch the updated dll from my leather or lumber mod if you're interested.
Owlchemist 10 Apr, 2019 @ 5:52pm
Hello - I been investigating the compatibility problem mentioned in the description about other mods using the universal fermenter. Thought I'd let you know that you can resolve this problem by switching to the other version of UF. I was using the same version as you until I realized most of the bigger mods that use it are using the other version. It's pretty easy to switch over, you just gotta replace like three lines.

Blueberries, as you mention, uses the other version.
Vats 27 Mar, 2019 @ 9:08am
Any plans to rebalance the mod? Feels to me that the yield of both hay and flour is high enough to completely scrap planting any other crops for day-to-day food.
Nux Vomica 26 Mar, 2019 @ 12:13pm
Found it lately after developing "wheat farming". Now my colonists need 9 sacks of flour to bake one single bread. Is this intended to be so?
Nux Vomica 17 Mar, 2019 @ 3:15pm
Can't find the oven
_♣Caligula♣_ 2 Mar, 2019 @ 12:26am
Without any errors? I sadly had to stop using the mod since it threw errors.
sterale14 26 Feb, 2019 @ 7:32am
it works fine with VGP for me, i have vegetable garden higher on the load list
ManfromGalilee 17 Jan, 2019 @ 12:45am
by the way, can i use this mod with SeedsPlease mod? without compability issues
Parker Posey's Mouth 7 Jan, 2019 @ 2:55pm
I do wish this level of detail was available in bigger crop mods, but with this and the rice cultivating civilization mod, I can at least have more intricate and interesting staple crops!
Flaming Toaster  [author] 21 Dec, 2018 @ 5:56pm
Sorry for all the problems while I was gone (I had to put away modding for some time unfortunately).
For the time being seems like this mod isn't really compatible with other mods using universal fermenter (Blueberries mod for example) and doesn't really work well with VG too. To be honest, I should've put it in description looong time ago.
@Del you need eggs, milk, chocolate and flour
@theotakugamer well, hardtack is one tough, nasty food, even if the tase is not enough for them loosing teeth might be, haha!
VoidConnections 19 Dec, 2018 @ 3:06am
How do you make cake i dont know what you need for the last ingredient?
theotakugamer 17 Dec, 2018 @ 8:51am
Do ascets care about eating hardtack? From what game says (about them), they shouldn't.
vardicdestroyer 12 Dec, 2018 @ 5:58pm
Never mind i had another mod limiting what foods my pawns were allowed to eat and it defaulted bread and hardtack to not edible
vardicdestroyer 12 Dec, 2018 @ 4:03am
So I'm noticing in my game that i've got a stack of hardtack and a lot of starving colonists, but no one will eat it, unless i rightclick force them to eat it. Is this intentional? Also @MC_Lovecraft, you have to run the wheat through a milling stone to turn it into flour and hay, your pawns will then put the hay onto the drying rack to make straw.
Miko 10 Dec, 2018 @ 9:06pm
i use this mod and VGP mod, I was going to make bread and dry bread cake, but they said I had no flour. But I found out that there was something wrong with the grain powder on the VGP.
ThatGuyWhoLikesGames 1 Dec, 2018 @ 3:21pm
Just to let the mod author know, when you install this mod with the Blueberries mod it causes an error which makes all colonists unable to do anything, Hope this gets fixed sometime soon
Biokon 23 Nov, 2018 @ 2:31am
PS i have found the issue you NEED to run this mod after VP garden mods otherwise it conflicts. you are able to grow and proces the wheat but cant make bread if you put it in front of said mods.
Biokon 22 Nov, 2018 @ 4:53pm
Could it be correct that flour textures changed overnight (21st of nov to 22nd of nov 2018) and this is causing a bug to where the flour cant be used too make bread hardtack etc? would appreciate and update to this
falconbird85 22 Nov, 2018 @ 4:26pm
Hay rack keeps disapearing when built.
ManfromGalilee 18 Nov, 2018 @ 3:34am
Thx for all the Hardtack. I always wished to feed my prisoners with this tasteless little brick!
Marshall 11 Nov, 2018 @ 5:50pm
Can you give me a link to Universal Fermenter 1.0 I can't find it
Argus 6 Nov, 2018 @ 9:44am
My hay-rack disappeared from my save, and my pawns cannot build the rack. I've posted in workshop discussions with more details.
Argus 4 Nov, 2018 @ 3:58pm
Such good mod, lots of fun, not OP, as best I can tell, but I am not looking for the exploits.
_♣Caligula♣_ 2 Nov, 2018 @ 6:27am
Hm, i don´t use the blueberry mod from Syrchalis, but it does break my games exactly the way like descriped before. With vegetable garden i remember it worked as a new plant option.
Could be the plantable wild berries mod.
sigmaMGE 2.0 1 Nov, 2018 @ 2:51am
I have an idea, add the ability to make the wort from the grain, and then distill it into vodka
Ravenholme 28 Oct, 2018 @ 4:26pm
Can confirm what Lumi MercuryDoll says, mod is very much incompatible with the aforesaid Blueberries mod. Would be nice if it could be resolved.
Idunhaël 27 Oct, 2018 @ 5:36pm
Should be straw, not hay.
MercuryDoll 27 Oct, 2018 @ 2:23pm
Seems highly incompatible with Syrchalis' Blueberries mod due to the implemented UniFermenter. completely breaks the worgiver, resulting in pawns not doing anything and even rightclicking not working.
Sarnak III 25 Oct, 2018 @ 7:26pm
So I noticed my pawns using flower as the vegitable mater in fine and lavish meals. Is this behavior supposed to occur? I'm not complaining, just making sure its intentional.
MC_Lovecraft 25 Oct, 2018 @ 9:56am
Right clicking on the hay rack doesn't do anything for me, it doesn't have a tooltip or anything. My pawns won't haul the wheat on their own either, they'll take it to storage, but that's it.
Biokon 25 Oct, 2018 @ 5:42am
PS im running VGP Garden Fabrics and Garden medicine
Biokon 25 Oct, 2018 @ 5:41am
@Dark Inquisitor Just to let you know but whenever i build the hayrack it is not appearing. the blueprint is but the actual structure dissappears after being finished.
