While I'm commenting on all your uploads (sorry), I should mention that when this console was released it was known as the Atari VCS (Video Computer System). Also, this is the newer model compared to the also-uploaded "Sixer" model.

The proper "Atari 2600" you're familiar with is an all-black plastic model. It was given that moniker to fit in line with Atari's other consoles and computers (5200, 7800, 400, 800). I do NOT recommend renaming this model to the VCS though, as Atari is planning to release a new console called the AtariVCS to further confuse things! Thanks, Atari!

Other Atari VCS models that would be fun to have: The 2600 Jr., the Sears Tele-Games, and the Atari 2800: A sleek version of the VCS released only in Japan that was the basis for the 7800.
