gunblade model is at correct scale, at 100 cm. same with all FFXV characters.
official specifications say 28.5" for blade 9.5" for handle.
so yes, it is pretty big. but it was designed this way.
for topic sake - some old qualities have been retained, such as the pants, longer jacket, and huge gunblade. originally Squall was supposed to have his weapon docked. https://static.zerochan.net/Squall.Leonhart.full.877320.jpg
The same as it is with Cloud Strife, which you see present in the Remake.
do to system limitations this wasn't possible before. If you played FFVIII, Squall un-docks his weapon on a few moments. which means his weapon is meant to be typically present.
