When I subscribe to this mod, my game crashes to desktop during loading, and when I unsubscribe from it, Starbound loads normally.
The reason I believe a conflict with the Avali mod is the issue is because the starbound.log gives me this error:
[11:19:50.243] [Error] Application: exception thrown, shutting down: (TreasureException) Duplicate TreasurePool config 'dragoontreasure' from file '/treasure/avali.treasurepools'
Here's the full error: https://pastebin.com/kn2yRjET
I'd love to add this mod to my ever-growing collection, so I hope you can fix this issue, but I understand if mod compatibility is low or non-existent on your priority list.
Hmm, I just tested it playing as an asari and spawning a random villager and no one exploded or died. The hotfix I provided a while ago should have fixed that. If you're using the latest version (which you probably are) and it still happens, I'm not sure what would cause it as it worked before.
Hmm, tested it and I can't seem to replicate the problem at all. Maybe something on your end, some other mod interfering. Regardless, I'll keep an eye out for possible causes and solutions.
Hmm, I haven't done testing in that scale, but normally it shouldn't conflict at all. I'll have a look and see if I can replicate the error.
Haven't heard of that nor did I encounter such a problem myself. This mod also doesn't change any interactions with regular NPCs. Are you running additional mods alongside this one and thus one of those may cause it?
@Kevin Furey
There are a bunch of tutorials out there. I'd suggest looking for those as well as reading the readme files provided by Skittles in his template mods.
@Ilego Yeah, because you need some race selection mod as well.
Looking foward to future updates!
Alrighty, found another odd error. It has to d with the mod, but might as well be mod interference. The mod is giving the infamous dialog error that makes npcs explode> I thought was another mod but them I removed a bunch of them and it cntinued until this one was removed. Give a look in the npc files, normally is some period or comma missing in there. If you havent worked in there, still do a look, sometimes skittles auto namer bugs out in some archives and doesnt replace the name.
Eyes should be better positioned now, the sword should have been changed now as well. The "miscolored" dots in the head crest was deliberate as it should recreate the different crest colors and facial markings Asari usually have. Though I may tone down on the color variation a bit.
-The eye problem is very easily repaired. I'd suggest using the default human head and working from there. Its mostly dots being one pixel to the side.
-The Asari sword can be worked with based in the mass effect one.
-That tentacle thing needs to be fixed, best is to put that color too at the body color, and leave Asaris with only a body color and an eye color options.
Even with my critics, its nice that you tried to add again a race from a defunct mod.
-As said down there, the eyes are misaligned. They not only stare at the screen, but also when you use emotes thy sometimes straight up appear while you have a apair of closed eyes on the side.
-They have as a starter item an Asari sword. Its... a medieval longsword. An Asari sword is like a whiteish talon like blade (yep, they exist, its in Andromeda)
-Theres in the head tentacls a bunch of dots for the light color that are attached to the hair slider, making them sometimes have abunch of miscolored dots in the tentacles. At the chracter creator thats not a problem, but when an Asari tennant appears, it will be a recurring problem.
Yes, they do need some work. I simply updated them from the abandoned Mass Effect mod for Starbound to the newer versions. As for customization options, there are actually quite a few.
The eyes look extremely small compared to other races and the way they're placed makes it look like it's constantly staring directly at the screen, as opposed to the direction it's supposed to be facing in-game. They also seem to be lacking a mouth.
I'm not sure, but I also doubt they have much in terms of customization options.
